Gasket Maintenance
Gaskets require regular clea i g to preve t mold a d mildew build up a d also to keep the elasticity of
the gasket. Gasket clea i g ca be do e with the use of warm soapy water. Avoid full stre gth
clea i g products o gaskets as this ca cause them to become brittle a d preve t proper seals. Do ot
use sharp tools or k ives to scrape or clea the gasket which could possibly tear the gasket a d rip the
bellows.
Gaskets ca easily be replaced a d do ’t require the use of tools or authorized service tech icia s. The
gaskets are "Dart" style a d ca be pulled out of the grove i the door a d replaced by pressi g the ew o e
back i to place.
Doors/Hinges
Over time a d with heavy use, door hi ges may become loose. If the door is begi i g to sag, tighte
the screws that mou t the hi ge brackets to the frame of the u it. If the doors are loose or saggi g this
ca cause the hi ge to pull out of the frame which may damage to both the doors a d the door hi ges.
Drain Maintenance
Each u it has a drai located i side the u it which removes the co de satio from the evaporator coil a d
evaporates it i to a exter al co de sate evaporator pa . Each drai ca become loose or disco ected
from movi g or bumpi g the drai . If you otice excessive water accumulatio o the i side of the u it, be
sure the drai tube is co ected from the evaporator housi g to the co de sate evaporator drai pa . If
water starts to collect u der eath the u it, you may wa t to check the co de sate evaporator drai tube to
be sure it is still located i side the drai pa . The leveli g of the u it is importa t as the u its are desig ed to
drai properly whe o a level surface. If your floor is ot level this ca also cause drai problems. Be sure
all drai li es are free of obstructio s because this may cause water to back up a d overflow the drai pa s.
