Kelvix RFC-A-WIFI User manual

This document contains the following instructions:
SYSTEM DIAGRAM for visualizing RFC-A-WIFI module setup
SETUP OPTIONS for determining setup that best suits your network configuration
WIRELESS NETWORK SETUP for optional wireless connection of RFC-A-WIFI
module to network router using EasyLighting™mobile app
MOBILE APP SETUP for configuring EasyLighting™app on mobile device
MOBILE APP OPERATION for operating EasyLighting™app on mobile device

4Determine which setup option best suits
your network configuration from the above
three options and complete the following
step that corresponds to selected option:

Preferred configuration for system reliability
To be used when location of RFC-A-WIFI module cannot be wired directly to network router due to RF range
2Install EasyLighting™app on mobile device.
For iOS devices, install EasyLighting-EasyLife
app from the App Store. For Android, install
Easylighting-EasyLife app from Google Play.
1) Connect RFC-A-WIFI to network router
using included ethernet cable
2) Ensure that mobile device is connected to
same network router
3) Skip Wireless Network Setup instructions
on next page and continue to Mobile App

1Refer to RF receiver setup instructions and
make proper RF receiver and LED strip
wiring connections.
FOR WIRED NETWORK OPTION #1:
1) Continue to next page for Wireless
Network Setup instructions
FOR WIRELESS NETWORK OPTION #2:
1) Go to your mobile device’s system
settings and connect to “EasyColor” or
“EasyLighting” wifi network. If prompted
for a wifi password enter: 0123456789
2) Skip Wireless Network Setup instructions
on next page and continue to Mobile App

7After brief message confirming successful
configuration appears, exit EasyLighting™app,
go back to your mobile device’s system settings,
and reconnect your device to your wifi network.
5From the app’s Setting tab, choose “Connect
Wifi LED controller to your home network”(Fig.1).
When asked if your device is already connected
to the wifi controller, choose “Yes” (Fig.2).

6When prompted, select your wireless network
from the list of available networks (Fig.3), enter
your wifi password (Fig.4), and press “OK”.

8Re-open EasyLighting™app to confirm app
opens and connects to wifi module without
showing error message. Then continue to
Mobile App Setup instructions.
An optional wireless network connection eliminates the needfor a direct ethernet cable connection betweenthe
RFC-A-WIFI module and network router, allowing the module to be placed anywhere within range of your wireless
network. Please note, however, that this option is not compatible with all network configurations due to various
security and encryption protocols.
3Go to your mobile device’s system settings and
connect to “EasyColor” or “EasyLighting” wifi
network. If prompted for a wifi password enter:

NOTE: To reset RFC-A-WIFI network settings,
press and hold unit’s reset button for 10 seconds.

2Confirm power to RFC-WIFI-DMX module.
4Open the EasyLighting™mobile app.
1If network cable is connected from network
router to RFC-WIFI-DMX module, disconnect
before continuing with wireless setup.

These instructions are for configuring the EasyLighting™mobile app on your iOS or Android mobile device.
1Customize Room/Zone options as follows:
a) In mobile app, select “Edit room information”
from mobile app’s Setting tab (Fig.1).
b) Then press “Edit” in upper left hand corner
of screen to enter room edit mode (Fig.2).
c) While in room edit mode, select any room
name or photo image and follow prompts to
customize using mobile device’s keyboard
and built-in camera.
d) Press “Save” and “Back” to save and return
to previous screen.

2Assign RF receiver to a room/zone as follows:
a) In mobile app, press the Room tab (Fig.3),
select a room (Fig.4) (selection indicated by
green checkmark), and then press Room tab
again (Fig.5) to return to control screen.
c) Move finger along color wheel (Fig.6) until
lighting flashes to confirm room assignment.
b) Briefly press the Learning Key [ ] on the RF
receiver to be paired with selected room.
*Steps b & c must be completed within a ten second period.
3Repeat steps 2-6 to assign any additional RF
receivers in the system to additional rooms/zones.

*
NOTE: To erase all stored pairing memory from an
RF receiver, press and hold receiver’s learning
key [ ] for five seconds. The connected lights
will briefly flash to indicate memory erased.

3Color Wheel: Touch desired color on touch-
sensitive color wheel [ ] to select light color.

1Program: The program button [ ] is a multi-
function button that accesses the remote’s built-
in, preset color changing program modes with
the ability to adjust program speed. Press button
once to access first built-in color changing mode.
Press again to pause this mode. Press a third
time to start the next built-in mode, and so on...
While running a color changing program, raise
or lower adjustable slider to increase or decrease
color changing speed.

2Color Brightness: To adjust red/green/blue
channel brightness, press the color brightness
button [ ] and raise or lower adjustable slider
to increase or decrease color brightness.
4Color Channels: Press the color channels button
[ ] to access individual red, green, & blue
channel adjustment. Raise or lower sliders to
increase or decrease individual color channels.
Press and hold this button for two seconds to
toggle all colors on and off.
5White Channel: Press the white channel button
[ ] to access white channel adjustment.
Raise or lower slider to increase or decrease
white channel brightness. Press and hold this
button for two seconds to toggle white channel
on and off.
6Room: Press the room button [ ] to
access room selection page. From the room
selection page, select room or rooms to adjust
(selection indicated by green checkmarks) and
then press room button once more to access
lighting adjustment mode. Also, from within
the room selection page, press and hold any of
the room images for two seconds to toggle that
particular room on and off.
8Save: Press the save button [ ] and then
press any of the eight scene buttons to access
saved lighting scenes stored to the app. To save
a scene, press the save button to access scene
buttons and then press and hold any of the eight
scene buttons for two seconds to save current
lighting scene to that button.
7Setting: Press the setting button [ ] to
access various app settings. These settings
include setting up RF/WiFi receiver(s) onto your
wireless network (refer to Optional Wifi Setup
Instructions) and customizing room names and
images.
9On/Off: Press the on/off button [ ] to toggle
all zones between off and each of their last ‘on’
settings.
