dust. These products clogthe bag, reduce
airflow and can cause the bagto burst. Failure
to change bag could cause permanent damage
tothe cleaner.
Do not usethe cleaner to pick upsharp hard
objects,small toys, pins, paper,etc. They may
damagethe cleaner or dust bag.
Do not pickupanythingthat isburningorsmoking,
suchascigarettes,matches,or hotashes.
Do not usevacuumcleaner

Before assembling your vacuum cleaner,

The vacuum cleaner creates suction that
picks up di_, Rapidly moving air carries

pass through, while it traps the diR For

passage o_n. Check the starred areas
occasionally for clogs. Unplug from
outlet _fore checking.

_ength,_
NOTE: To reduce the risk of electric shock,
•is vacuum cleaner has a polarized p4ug;
one blade is wider than the other. This plug
will fit in a _larized outlet only one way. if
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the #ug, If it still does not fiL _nta_
a qualified electrician to install the proper
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
2. Plug the _lariz_ _wer cord into a 120
Volt outlet iocat_ near the floor,
To rewind: Unplug the cleaner, Hold the
plug while rewinding to prevent damage or
injury from the moving cord. Press on the
cord ree! _J_on to rewind the oord,
3. To start, _sh slide switch down toward
MAX To _op, raise slide up to OFF.

Suggested sweeping pa_ern
For _st cleaning action, the Air-Turbine
Brush Nozzle should _ pushed straight
away from you and pulled straight back.
This pattern should be _ntinued across the
rug with sbw, gliding motions..
NOTE: Fast, jerky strokes do not provide
complete cleaning.
Carpeted stairs need to be vacuumed
regularly For best cleaning results, put tlhe
slide, switch on MAX.
For best cleaning results, keep the airflow
passage o_n. Ch_k ,oc_sionally for clogs.

NOTE: indicator window may turn red when
using attachments o,rwhen cleaning new
carpet, This is;due to reduced aiff!ow caused
by the vacuum seal between attachment and
surface, or new car_t fuzz filling the bag
quickly. Restore a_ff!ow by raising
attachment slightly from surface you are
cleaning, ,or replace bag iflitis full,

For best cleaning result, the dust bag
should _ _ang_ often.
1. Unplug cord from w_] outlet.
2. Pull lid release out and up,
then lift _nister hood.
3. Press back the bag mount latch

NEVER REUSE A DUST BAG. Very fine
materials, such as carpet freshener,
f_e powder, fine dust, plaster, soot,
new carpet lint, etc, can clog the bag
and cause it to burst before it is full.
Change bag more often when
vacuuming the_ materials.

Remove the bag and throw it away,
To insert new dust bag:
Press, back the, bag mount latch.
Fit bottom edge dbag mount tab,
onto bag mount ledge.
Pull bag mount tab flush with suction
inlet ho_e,
Release bag mount latch over top edge of
bag mount tab to secure bag in canister.

Do not:operate the cleaner without the
motor safety filter. Be sure the filter is
dry and properly inCa!led to prevent
motor failure andlor electrical _ock.
,Check motor safety fi_er occasionally
and clean 'when di_y.
1. Unplug _rd from w_] outlet and
remove bag,
2. Pull out safety fiiter as shown°
3. Wash filter in warm soapy water, rinse,
then dry. Do not clean in dishwasher or
install while damp.

5. Insert bag.

1. Unplug cord from wall outlet. DO NOT
drip water on cleaner.
2. Clean vacuum exterior using a clean, so_
cloth that has _en dipp_ in c_ean water,
then wrung out. Wipe dry after cleaning.
NOTE: Regular cleaning helps to reduce
static electrici_ and dust buildup on outer
surfaces of cleaner and attachments.
DO NOT u_ a_achm_ts if they are
wet. Dam_e to dust bag and motor
may occur:
Attachments u_ in ,dirty areas, such
as under a refrigerator, should not be
used on other surfaces until they are
wash_ since they could leave marks.
When not in use, a_ach wand assem_y to canister by inse_ing wand storage clip holder into
ho_e in canister bo_y as shown Fig. 1 or insert nozzle clip into storage clip holder as shown
in Fig. 2. Attach hose storage clip to h_dle. Store in upright position only.

vacuum dean the _ush and fan.

Disconnect cleaner from electrical outlet, Ch_k and remove hair, string and lint build-up
frequently in the Air-Tubine Brush Nozzle Brush and brush sup_rt areas. If r_ii]d-up
_comes emcessive, dis_nnect Air-Tubine Brush Nozzle from Te]es_p,ic wand,
TO REMOVE BELT:
! Turn Air-Tubine Brush Nozzle upside
down.
2. Unscrew the four AiroTubine Brush Nozzle
cover screws
3. Turn Air-Tubine Brush Nozzle rear side up
and tilt cover fo_ard from back until front
snaps free.

4, Carefully insert and _i_scr_driver at each
brush support to free brush from base.

6. Slide brush supports off to check and
clean brush suppo_ areas. See PARTS
LIST for picture of compliete brush
assembly.
TO REPLACE BELT:

brush, then over the fan shaft. IBesure belt
is be_een the belt guards.
