Sharing USB Devices Just Got Easier
Switching USB devices—printers, external hard drives, and so on—among multiple
computers has typically involved climbing, reaching, or bending to disconnect and attach
cables. Not anymore. The Kensington ShareCentral provides a simple, central connection
point that lives right on your desktop or your home office wall. Depending on your
ShareCentral, you can share one, two, or five USB devices between two computers.
The ShareCentral works whether you have one stationary computer and one portable
notebook, or two of the same type. Switching devices between the attached computers
is as easy as pressing a button or a keyboard key—and in some cases, the process can be
automated, so you don’t need to press anything at all!
Please read this short manual to learn valuable information about the safe and proper
use and installation of your ShareCentral. Register your ShareCentral online at
www.kensington.com/register.
NOTE: The instructions in this manual describe switching multiple devices between
computers. This functionality is available on the ShareCentral 2 and ShareCentral 5. The
ShareCentral 1 allows you to switch a USB printer or other single USB device between
computers.
Connecting Computers and Devices to Your ShareCentral
1. (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only) Plug the power adapter into the power adapter
jack on your ShareCentral. Then plug the power adapter into a working electrical
outlet.
2. Plug the color-coded USB cable (included) into the USB link for Computer 1 on your
ShareCentral. Then plug the cable into a working USB port on your computer.

Switching Devices Between Computers
The color-coded indicator lights on your ShareCentral indicate which devices are
assigned to which computer.
You can switch devices between computers using the buttons on the ShareCentral, or
switch all the devices by pressing a hotkey (refer to the section titled “Using a Hotkey
on Your Computer”
for details). For the ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5, you can also turn on a setting to
have all devices switched to one computer when the other computer disconnects from
the ShareCentral.
CAUTION: Make sure that a device is not being used by one computer before you
switch it to another. For example, make sure that no data is being transferred if you
want to switch an external hard drive. Switching a device while it is in use may cause
loss or corruption of data.
For the ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5, see “File Corruption Protection,” below, for
more information on this issue.
Using the ShareCentral Buttons
To switch a device from one computer to another, press the button with the keycap for
that device.
3. Plug the USB cables (sold separately) of your USB devices into the USB ports on your
ShareCentral. For convenience, use the port whose keycap matches the device you
are connecting.
Hard Drive Scanner Keyboard and MousePrinter
NOTE: You can change the keycaps to a different order or swap in different keycaps.
You may use the spare keycaps as needed for other USB devices. See “Switching the
Keycaps,” below.
4. Plug the color-coded USB cable (included) into the USB link for Computer 2 on your
ShareCentral. Then plug the cable into a working USB port on your computer.
After you have completed setup, you can remove and connect computers from your
ShareCentral at any time. You do not need to remove the attached peripheral devices.

1. To turn on automatic switch mode, move the automatic/manual switch on the
bottom of your ShareCentral to the Automatic (AUTO) position.
2. To turn off automatic switch mode, move the automatic/manual switch back to the
Manual position.
NOTE: In automatic switch mode, if you reconnect a second computer, you can switch
devices by pressing the buttons or keys as usual.
Using Smart Features (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only)
If you install the software from the software installation CD, you can make use of the
following Smart Features:
• Automatic Printer Sharing
• File Corruption Protection
System Requirements
• Windows: Windows® XP or Vista®
• Mac: Mac OS X
NOTE for Mac Users: Automatic Printer Sharing is not supported on Mac; File Corruption
Protection is supported on MacBook and Mac Book Pro but not on the PowerBook. Once
the software is installed, Mac users must add the Kensington Share Central application
to the list of allowed programs to load upon startup to ensure that the file corruption
protection is always functioning. Go to System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items to
add the application to the user’s authorized list.
When the device has been switched to the new computer, the indicator light glows solid
on the new computer side.
NOTE: With the File Corruption Protection active, it may take several seconds to
complete the switch. See the section titled “Using Smart Features “ for details about File
Corruption Protection.
Using a Hot Key on Your Computer
To switch all devices at once, press the Num Lock, Scroll Lock or Caps Lock key on
your computer twice quickly (on a Mac, use Num Lock or Caps Lock only). All of the
ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 device indicator lights will blink briefly on the new
computer side while the switch is being made. When the devices have been switched to
the new computer, all indicator lights glow solid on the new computer side.
NOTE: (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only) You cannot switch individual devices using
a Hot Key on your computer.
NOTE: On Mac computers, the Kensington Share Central software must be installed
and running in order to use hotkeys on ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5. Hotkeys are not
supported for ShareCentral 1.
Using Automatic Switch Mode (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only)
By default, your ShareCentral works in manual switch mode: If a device is assigned to
one computer, and that computer is disconnected from the ShareCentral, you must still
press the device button on the ShareCentral or the Hot Key on your computer keyboard
to switch the device to the other computer.
In automatic switch mode, when one computer is disconnected from the ShareCentral,
all devices automatically switch to the other computer. You do not need to press any
buttons or keys.

Installing the Software (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only)
Insert the software installation CD into your computer’s CD drive and follow the on-
screen instructions. On Mac computers, no on-screen instructions will appear. Drag and
drop the Kensington Share Central program into the applications folder from the CD.
NOTE: If you want to use the Smart Features on two or more computers, you must
install the CD software onto each one.
Automatic Printer Sharing (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only)
With Automatic Printer Sharing, both computers can use a printer without switching.
Even though the printer is assigned to one computer (as indicated by the solid indicator
light), the other computer can send jobs to the printer without pressing any button on
the ShareCentral or on the computer keyboard.
To use Automatic Printer Sharing, both computers must have the printer driver
installed. Check the printer documentation for information.
NOTE: The printer can accommodate only one job at a time. If you send a print job
while the printer is already in use by the other computer, your job may not go through,
depending on how your system is set up to handle print jobs. To be sure your print job
will go through, wait until the printer is available before submitting a print job.
File Corruption Protection (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only)
If a user attempts to switch an external mass storage device—such as an external hard
drive or a flash drive—while the other user is transferring data, the data may become
lost or corrupt. File Corruption Protection prevents a user from switching a device while
data transfer is taking place.
If you install the CD software on your computer, File Corruption Protection prevents
another user from switching the external storage device from your computer while
a data transfer is in process. To fully protect all users’ data, we recommend that all
computers connected to the ShareCentral install the CD software to make use of the
File Corruption Protection feature.
NOTE: The user who is trying to switch the device does not receive an alert if the data
transfer is in process and the switch cannot be completed. Check the indicator light on
the ShareCentral to confirm. If the light continues to glow solid on the other computer’s
side after you attempt to make a switch, the switch is not successful and the other user
may still use the device.
To override File Corruption Protection, press and hold the external storage device
button on your ShareCentral for at least 3 seconds.
CAUTION: Switching a device while it is in use may cause loss or corruption of data.
Using the Cable Holder
The cable holder helps you avoid cable clutter by routing the cables on one side of your
ShareCentral.
1. Snap the cable holder into the snap-in cable holder jack on either side of your
ShareCentral.
2. Slide in the cables to route them in the direction you want.

You can change the position of any keycap (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only), or
switch one of the default keycaps to use one of the additional caps, so that the caps
match the actual devices attached to your ShareCentral.
1. To remove a keycap, press the side of the cap nearest the back of your ShareCentral
(or the bottom if the ShareCentral is mounted on the wall). The side of the cap
nearest the front/top of your ShareCentral pops up. Lift to remove the keycap.
NOTE: Do not press the center of the keycap to remove it. Pressing the center switches
the assigned device between computers.
2. Gently place the new keycap in the opening. A magnetic “snap” indicates that the
cap has been secured into place.
Mounting Your ShareCentral to the Wall
For maximum convenience and to save desktop space, you can mount your
ShareCentral on the wall. You will need two screws (sold separately) that are
appropriate for your wall type.
1. Hold the wall mount template, included in this instruction guide, to the desired
location on
the wall. Mark the positions of the two screws with a pencil.
2. Drill or manually screw two screws into the marked positions on the wall. Leave the
screws extended slightly from the wall.
3. Using the two wall mount holes on the bottom of your ShareCentral, hang the
ShareCentral onto the screws. The front panel should be facing up.
Power Adapter Specifications (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only)
If you need to replace the power adapter, be sure to use an equivalent adapter, as
follows:
• For ShareCentral 2 model 33900: 5V 1A (minimum)
• For ShareCentral 5 model 33901: 5V 2.5A (minimum)
NOTE: For ShareCentral 1 model 33903 the power adapter is not required. If the USB
peripheral attached to the ShareCentral 1 needs to be powered through the USB
interface of the Share Central 1, then a 5V 1A (minimum ) power adapter
is recommended.

Troubleshooting
If your ShareCentral does not operate as expected, first check these items to try and
correct the problem. If the problem persists, please contact Kensington Technical
Support. Contact information is provided in “Technical Support,” below.
I don’t see indicator lights for any devices on either side of my ShareCentral.
Check to make sure that the power adapter included with the ShareCentral
(ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only) is plugged into the ShareCentral and into a
working electrical outlet. Whenever possible, use the power adapter supplied with the
ShareCentral. If you need to replace the power adapter, be sure to use an equivalent
adapter as described in “Power Adapter Specifications,” above.
I get a message on my computer that there is no driver for the printer attached to the
ShareCentral.
You need to install the driver software for the printer on your computer. Check the
documentation that came with the printer for information.
I am not able to switch my printer.
Make sure the other computer is not using the printer. For the ShareCentral 2/
ShareCentral 5, even if you have the Automatic Printer Sharing feature installed, you
cannot use the printer if the other computer is currently using it. Wait until the other
print job has finished and try printing again.
I am not able to switch my external mass storage device. (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral
5 only)
• If the other computer has the File Corruption Protection feature installed, you
cannot switch an external mass storage device while the other computer is
transferring data. Wait until the data transfer has finished and try switching the
external mass storage device again.
• If you are sure that the other computer’s data transfer has finished and you still
cannot switch the external storage device, press and hold the external storage
device button on your ShareCentral for 3 seconds. This overrides File Corruption
Protection and allows you to switch the device.
CAUTION: Make sure that the other computer’s data transfer has finished before you
press the button. Switching a device while it is in use may cause loss or corruption of data.
There is no other computer connected to the ShareCentral, but the devices are not
assigned to my computer.
(ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 only) Check the manual/automatic switch on the
bottom of your ShareCentral. If the switch is in the manual position, any devices
previously assigned to the other computer continue to be assigned there even if the
other computer is not connected to the ShareCentral. You must press the button for
any device you want to switch to your computer.
If the manual/automatic switch is in the automatic (AUTO) position, all devices should
automatically switch to your computer if the other computer is disconnected from the
ShareCentral.
For the ShareCentral 1, press the device button to assign the device to your computer.

material and workmanship under normal use and service for two years from the original date of purchase.
KENSINGTON, at its option, shall repair or replace the defective unit covered by this warranty. Please

service. In order to keep this limited warranty in effect, the product must have been handled and used

Partage de périphériques entre des ordinateurs
Les voyants lumineux codés en couleur sur votre ShareCentral indiquent à quel
ordinateur les périphériques sont affectés.
Un voyant fixe indique que le
périphérique est affecté à l’Ordinateur 1.

2. Branchez le câble USB codé en couleur (fourni) dans le port USB pour l’ordinateur 1
sur votre ShareCentral. Branchez ensuite le câble dans un port USB qui fonctionne
sur votre ordinateur.
3. Branchez les câbles USB (vendus séparément) de vos périphériques USB dans les
ports USB sur votre ShareCentral. Par souci de commodité, utilisez le port dont le
dessus de touche correspond au périphérique que vous raccordez.

REMARQUE : Vous pouvez changer l’ordre des dessus de touche ou introduire différents

Utilisation d’un raccourci-clavier sur votre ordinateur
Pour commuter tous les périphériques en une seule fois, appuyez deux fois rapidement
sur la touche Verr. num, Arrêt du defilement ou Verr. maj de votre ordinateur (sur un Mac,
utiliser Verr. num ou Verr. maj uniquement). Tous les voyants lumineux des périphériques
ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5, clignotent brièvement du côté du nouvel ordinateur
lorsque la commutation a lieu. Une fois que les périphériques ont basculé vers le nouvel
ordinateur, tous les voyants lumineux restent allumés du côté du nouvel ordinateur.
REMARQUE : (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 uniquement) Vous ne pouvez pas
permuter des périphériques individuels à l’aide d’un raccourci-clavier sur votre
ordinateur.
REMARQUE : Sur les ordinateurs Mac, le logiciel Kensington Share Central doit être
installé et exécuté pour pouvoir utiliser les raccourcis-clavier sur ShareCentral 2/

Utilisation du mode de permutation automatique (ShareCentral
2/ShareCentral 5 uniquement)
Par défaut, votre ShareCentral fonctionne en mode de permutation manuelle : Si un
périphérique est affecté à un ordinateur déconnecté du ShareCentral, vous devez
appuyer sur le
bouton du périphérique sur le ShareCentral ou sur le raccourci-clavier de votre
ordinateur pour basculer le périphérique vers l’autre ordinateur.
En mode de permutation automatique, lorsqu’un ordinateur est déconnecté du
ShareCentral, tous les périphériques basculent automatiquement vers l’autre
ordinateur. Vous ne devez appuyer sur aucun bouton ni touche.
1. Pour activer le mode de permutation automatique, placez le permutateur
automatique/manuel situé à la base de votre ShareCentral sur la position
Automatique (AUTO).
Vous pouvez commuter des périphériques entre des ordinateurs à l’aide des boutons
du ShareCentral, ou commuter tous les périphériques en appuyant sur un raccourci-
clavier (reportez-vous à la section intitulée « Utilisation d’un raccourci-clavier sur
votre ordinateur » pour plus de détails). Pour le ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5, vous
pouvez également activer un paramètre pour commuter tous les périphériques sur un
ordinateur lorsque l’autre ordinateur se déconnecte de ShareCentral.
ATTENTION : Vérifiez qu’un périphérique ne soit pas utilisé par un ordinateur avant de
le permuter avec un autre. Par exemple, vérifiez qu’aucune donnée ne soit transférée
si vous souhaitez permuter un disque dur externe. Permuter un périphérique en cours
d’utilisation peut provoquer la perte ou la corruption des données. Pour le ShareCentral
2/ShareCentral 5, voir “ Protection contre la corruption de fichiers, ” ci-dessous, pour
plus d’informations à ce sujet.
Utilisation des boutons du ShareCentral
Pour permuter un périphérique d’un ordinateur à l’autre, appuyez sur le bouton dont le
dessus de touche correspond à ce périphérique.
Une fois que le périphérique a basculé vers le nouvel ordinateur, le voyant lumineux
reste allumé du côté du nouvel ordinateur.
REMARQUE : Lorsque la fonction de protection contre la corruption de fichier est
activée, la commutation peut durer quelques secondes. Reportez-vous à la section «
Utilisation des fonctions intelligentes » pour des détails sur la fonction de protection

REMARQUE pour les utilisateurs Mac : La fonction de partage d’imprimante

corruption de fichiers est prise en charge sur MacBook et Mac Book Pro mais pas sur le
PowerBook. Une fois que le logiciel est installé, les utilisateurs de Mac doivent ajouter
l’application Kensington Share Central à la liste des programmes autorisés à charger
après le démarrage afin de s’assurer que la fonction de corruption de fichier fonctionne
toujours. Accédez à Préférences Système > Comptes > Ouverture pour ajouter
l’application à la liste autorisée de l’utilisateur.
Installation du logiciel (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 uniquement)
Introduisez le CD d’installation du logiciel dans le lecteur de CD de votre ordinateur
et suivez les instructions qui s’affichent à l’écran. Sur les ordinateurs Mac, aucune
instruction ne s’affiche à l’écran. Faites glisser et déposez le programme Kensington
Share Central dans le dossier des applications du CD.
REMARQUE : Si vous souhaitez utiliser les fonctions intelligentes sur deux ordinateurs
ou plus, vous devez installer le logiciel du CD sur chacun d’entre eux.
Partage d’imprimante automatique (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5
uniquement)
La fonction de partage d’imprimante automatique permet aux deux ordinateurs
d’utiliser une imprimante sans permutation. Même si l’imprimante est affectée à un
ordinateur (comme indiqué par le voyant lumineux fixe), l’autre ordinateur peut envoyer
des travaux à l’imprimante sans appuyer sur aucun bouton sur le ShareCentral ou sur le
clavier de l’ordinateur.
Pour utiliser la fonction de partage d’imprimante automatique, le pilote d’imprimante
doit être installé sur les deux ordinateurs. Consultez la documentation de l’imprimante
pour de plus amples informations.
REMARQUE : L’imprimante peut prendre en charge une seule tâche à la fois. Si vous
envoyez un tirage alors que l’imprimante est en cours d’utilisation par l’autre ordinateur,
il risque de ne pas être traité, selon la façon dont votre système a été configuré pour
gérer les tirages. Pour être certain que votre tirage sera traité, patientez jusqu’à ce que
l’imprimante soit disponible avant de soumettre un tirage.
Protection contre la corruption de fichiers (ShareCentral 2/
ShareCentral 5 uniquement)
Si un utilisateur tente de permuter un disque de grande capacité externe (un disque dur
ou un disque dur à mémoire flash, par exemple) alors que l’autre utilisateur transfère
des données, ces dernières risquent d’être perdues ou corrompues. La fonction de
protection contre la corruption de fichiers empêche un utilisateur de permuter un
périphérique pendant le transfert des données. Si vous installez le logiciel du CD sur
votre ordinateur, la fonction de protection contre la corruption de fichiers empêche un
autre utilisateur de permuter le disque de grande capacité externe de votre ordinateur
pendant le transfert des données.

Pour protéger complètement toutes les données des utilisateurs, nous vous
recommandons d’installer le logiciel du CD sur tous les ordinateurs raccordés au
ShareCentral afin d’utiliser la fonction de protection contre la corruption de fichiers.
REMARQUE : L’utilisateur qui tente de permuter le périphérique ne reçoit pas d’alerte
si le transfert de données est en cours et la permutation échoue. Vérifiez le voyant
lumineux sur le ShareCentral pour confirmer. Si le voyant lumineux reste allumé du côté
de l’autre ordinateur une fois que vous avez essayé d’effectuer une permutation, cette
dernière échoue et l’autre utilisateur peut encore utiliser le périphérique.
Pour annuler la fonction de protection contre la corruption de fichiers, appuyez sur le
bouton du disque de grande capacité externe sur votre ShareCentral et maintenez-le
enfoncé pendant au moins 3 secondes.
ATTENTION : Permuter un périphérique en cours d’utilisation peut provoquer la perte
ou la corruption des données.
Utilisation du support de câble
Le support de câble permet d’acheminer les câbles sur un côté de votre ShareCentral.
1. Branchez le support de câble dans la prise pour support de câble à brancher sur l’un
des côtés de votre ShareCentral.
2. Faites-y glisser les câbles afin de les acheminer dans le sens souhaité.

Vous pouvez changer la position des dessus de touche (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral

des dessus de touche supplémentaires. Ainsi, les dessus de touche correspondent aux
périphériques raccordés à votre ShareCentral.
1. Pour enlever un dessus de touche, appuyez sur le côté du dessus de touche situé le
plus à l’arrière de votre ShareCentral (ou à la base si le ShareCentral est fixé au mur).
Le côté du dessus de touche le plus près de l’avant/haut de votre ShareCentral sort.
Soulevez pour enlever le dessus de touche.
REMARQUE : N’appuyez pas au milieu du dessus de touche pour l’enlever. En effet, vous
risquez de permuter le périphérique affecté entre les ordinateurs.
2. Placez soigneusement le nouveau dessus de touche dans l’ouverture. Un
“ enclenchement ” magnétique indique que le dessus de touche a été mis en
ace correctement.
Installation de votre ShareCentral au mur
Par souci de commodité et pour gagner de l’espace sur le bureau, vous pouvez installer
votre ShareCentral sur le mur. Vous aurez besoin de deux vis (vendues séparément)
adaptées à votre type de mur.
1. Placez le croquis pour fixation murale fourni dans ce guide d’instructions à
l’emplacement souhaité sur le mur. Marquez les positions des deux vis avec un crayon.

2. Percez ou vissez manuellement deux vis dans les positions marquées sur le mur.
Laissez les vis dépasser légèrement du mur.
3. A l’aide des deux trous prévus pour la fixation murale à la base de votre
ShareCentral, accrochez le ShareCentral sur les vis. Le panneau avant doit être face
vers le haut.
Caractéristiques de l’alimentation (ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5
uniquement)
Si vous devez remplacer l’alimentation, utilisez une alimentation équivalente comme
suit :
• Pour le ShareCentral 2 modèle 33900 : 5V 1A (minimum)
• Pour le ShareCentral 5 modèle 33901 : 5V 2,5A (minimum)
REMARQUE : Pour le ShareCentral 1 modèle 33903, l’alimentation est inutile. Si
le périphérique USB raccordé au ShareCentral 1 doit être alimenté au moyen de
l’interface USB du ShareCentral 1, une alimentation de courant 5V 1A (minimum) est
recommandée.
Dépannage
Si votre ShareCentral ne fonctionne pas correctement, vérifiez d’abord les points
suivants pour tenter de résoudre le problème. Si le problème persiste, veuillez
contacter l’assistance technique de Kensington. Vous trouverez des informations de
contact dans la section “ Assistance technique ”, plus loin, dans ce manuel.
Je ne vois pas de voyant lumineux pour aucun périphérique sur les deux côtés de mon
ShareCentral.
Vérifiez que l’alimentation fournie avec le ShareCentral (ShareCentral2/ShareCentral
5 uniquement) soit branchée dans le ShareCentral et dans une prise de courant
électrique qui fonctionne. Chaque fois que possible, utilisez l’alimentation fournie
avec le ShareCentral. Si vous devez remplacer l’alimentation, utilisez une alimentation
équivalente, comme décrit dans la section
“ Caractéristiques de l’alimentation ” ci-dessus.
Un message indiquant qu’il n’existe aucun pilote pour l’imprimante raccordée au
ShareCentral s’affiche sur mon ordinateur.

Je n’arrive pas à permuter mon imprimante.
Vérifiez que l’autre ordinateur n’utilise pas l’imprimante. Pour le ShareCentral
2/ShareCentral 5, même si vous disposez de la fonction de partage d’imprimante
automatique, vous ne pouvez pas utiliser l’imprimante si l’autre ordinateur est en train
de l’utiliser. Patientez jusqu’à ce que l’autre tirage soit terminé et tentez de nouveau
d’imprimer.
Je ne parviens pas à permuter mon disque dur de grande capacité externe.
(ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 uniquement)
• Si l’autre ordinateur dispose de la fonction de protection contre la corruption de
fichiers, vous ne pouvez pas permuter un disque dur de grande capacité externe
pendant que l’autre ordinateur transfère des données. Patientez jusqu’à la fin du
transfert des données et tentez à nouveau de permuter le disque de grande capacité
externe.
• Si vous êtes certain que le transfert des données de l’autre ordinateur est terminé
et que vous ne pouvez toujours pas permuter le disque de grande capacité externe,
appuyez sur le bouton de ce dernier sur votre ShareCentral et maintenez-le enfoncé
pendant 3 secondes. Ceci annule la fonction de protection contre la corruption de
fichiers et vous permet de permuter le périphérique.
ATTENTION : Assurez-vous que le transfert des données de l’autre ordinateur soit
terminé avant d’appuyer sur le bouton. Permuter un périphérique en cours d’utilisation
peut provoquer la perte ou la corruption des données.

Il n’existe aucun autre ordinateur raccordé au ShareCentral, mais les périphériques ne
sont pas affectés à mon ordinateur.
(ShareCentral 2/ShareCentral 5 uniquement) Vérifiez le permutateur manuel/
automatique à la base de votre ShareCentral. S’il est sur la position Manuel, les
périphériques affectés précédemment à l’ordinateur continuent à l’être même si
l’autre ordinateur n’est pas raccordé au ShareCentral. Vous devez appuyer sur le bouton

Die gemeinsame Nutzung von USB-Geräten ist jetzt noch einfacher
Beim Wechseln von USB-Geräten, beispielsweise Druckern, externen Festplatten
usw., musste man bisher klettern, sich strecken und verbiegen, um Kabel zu entfernen
und wieder anzuschließen. Das ist jetzt anders. Kensington ShareCentral bietet einen
einfachen, zentralen Verbindungspunkt direkt auf Ihrem Schreibtisch oder an der
Wand Ihres Büros. Je nach ShareCentral-Modell können Sie mit zwei Computern auf
ein, zwei oder fünf USB-Geräte zugreifen. ShareCentral funktioniert sowohl mit einem
feststehenden Computer und einem tragbaren. Notebook als auch mit zwei Computern
desselben Typs. Das Umschalten der Geräte zwischen den angeschlossenen Computern
erfolgt einfach durch Drücken einer Schaltfläche oder einer Taste. In manchen Fällen
kann der Vorgang automatisiert werden, so dass Sie gar nichts tun müssen! Diese
kurze Bedienungsanleitung liefert wichtige Hinweise zur sicheren und korrekten
Inbetriebnahme und Verwendung des ShareCentral. Bitte lesen Sie sie sorgfältig durch.
Registrieren Sie Ihren ShareCentral online unter www.kensington.com/register.
HINWEIS: Die Anweisungen in dieser Bedienungsanleitung beschreiben das
