1Información General
1General Information
El manual de uso y mantenimiento de la máquina modelo
“EASY” para la duplicación de las llaves planas para cerradu-
ras a cilindro de puertas, de automóviles y de llaves de cruz
(desde ahora duplicadora), contiene todas las indicaciones
relativas al uso optimo de la máquina en condiciones de se-
guridad para el operador.
1.0.1 Finalidad y contenido del manual
Este manual tiene la finalidad de proporcionar toda la infor-
mación necesaria para la instalación, el uso y el manteni-
miento de la duplicadora.
Las indicaciones que contiene van dirigidas al operador que
utiliza la máquina: aunque no tenga nociones específicas,
encontrará en estas páginas las indicaciones que le permiti-
rán utilizarla eficazmente.
Este manual describe la máquina en el momento de su co-
mercialización: por consiguiente no se puede considerar in-
adecuado con respecto a eventuales mejoras tecnológicas
futuras que Keyline S.p.A. siga haciendo en términos de po-
tencialidad, ergonomicidad, seguridad y funcionalidad de
sus productos.
Keyline S.p.A., por lo tanto, no tiene la obligación de actua-
lizar versiones anteriores de manuales relativos a máquinas
antecedentes.
El usuario tiene que atenerse escrupulosamente a las indi-
caciones contenidas en este manual, y en particular a las
que se refieren a normas de seguridad y operaciones de
mantenimiento ordinario.
1.0.2 Conservación del manual
El manual siempre acompaña a la máquina a la que se refie-

The user's and maintenance manual of the key cutting ma-
chine “EASY” for flat cylinder door and car keys and cruci-
form keys (henceforth “key cutting machine") contains all
operation instructions on how to use the machine at best
while guaranteeing the safety of operators.
1.0.1 Scope and contents of the manual
This manual provides basic information on the installation,
operation and maintenance of the key-cutting machine.
It is addressed to machine operators and it enables them to
use the machine efficiently, even if they do not have any pre-
vious specific knowledge of it.
This manual describes the characteristics of the machine at
the time it is being put on the market; therefore it may not
capture later technological improvements introduced by
Keyline S.p.A., as part of its constant endeavour to enhance
the performance, ergonomics, safety and functionality of its
products.
Keyline S.p.A. reserves the right not to update the manuals
of previous versions of the machine. Users must follow the
instructions contained in this manual scrupulously, espe-
cially those concerning safety norms and ordinary mainte-
nance.
1.0.2 How to keep the manual
The manual must be stored in a safe place, away from dust
and moisture and it must be accessible to all users who
shall consult it any time they are in doubt on how to operate
the machine.
Keyline S.p.A., reserves the right to modify its production
and related manuals without necessarily updating previous
versions of the reference materials.
The customer shall store any updated copy of the manual -or
parts of it -delivered by the manufacturer as an attachment
to this manual.

1.2.1 Uso previsto
La duplicadora EASY fue diseñada y construida para efec-
tuar electrónicamente el duplicado de llaves planas para ce-
rraduras a cilindro de puertas, de automóviles y de llaves de
cruz.
1.2.2 Uso no previsto
La utilización de la máquina para obtener valores de produc-
ción mayores o diferentes de las indicaciones es considera-
da “uso impropio”, por lo tanto el fabricante declina toda
responsabilidad por cualquier daño a bienes o personas y
considera caducada cualquier tipo de garantía sobre la má-
quina misma.

lo que se ha descrito o de asistencia técnica para el mante-

1.2.1 Intended use
EASY is a key cutting machine designed and manufactured
to copy flat cylinder keys for door and car locks and cruci-
form keys.
1.2.2 Improper Use
The improper use of the machine includes using the ma-
chine to obtain a larger or different production than the fore-
seen one. Should this occur the manufacturer shall take no
responsibility for damage to materials or persons and shall
consider all warranties on the machine expired.

2Safety instructions
2.1.0 Normas (referencias)
La duplicadora y los equipos de protección individual están
conformes con la Directiva sobre máquinas 2006/42 CE. En
este manual se citan todas las normas de seguridad que el
operador tiene que respetar durante la instalación y el funcio-
namiento de la máquina.
Si no se respetan estas normas las condiciones de seguridad
previstas durante la fase de proyecto y ensayo pueden resultar
ineficaces.
Si se utilizan las máquinas para la finalidad prevista, las má-
quinas marcadas CE satisfacen la directiva 2006/42 CE “má-
quinas” y directivas 2006/95/CE, 2004/108/CE.
¡Cuidado!
Los operadores tienen que conocer obligatoria-
mente las instrucciones descritas en las pági-
nas siguientes.
El operador tendrá que respetar las instruccio-
nes del manual.
2.2.0 Dispositivos de seguridad
La duplicadora está dotada de una serie de dispositivos de
seguridad y de cárter de protección que delimitan el campo
operativo de los operadores para garantizar la incolumidad.
2.2.1 Protecciones
• Conexión de puesta a la tierra (A).
• Parada inmediata soltando la empuñadura del carro que
corta la corriente de todos los dispositivos eléctricos (B).
• Pantalla de protección para salvaguardar el operador de
eventuales proyecciones de virutas o desechos de pro-
ducción (C).
2.1.0 Safety legislation
The key cutting machine and its safety devices comply with
Council Directive 2006/42/EEC known as "Machine Directive".
This manual lists all safety instructions that the operator
must follow during the installation and functioning of the
machine.
Failing to respect the instructions may compromise the safe-
ty conditions envisaged during design and testing phases.
When employed for their intended use all machines marked
CE comply with EU 'machine' directive 2006/42 EEC and di-
rectives 2006/95/EEC, 2004/108/EEC.

2.2.0 Safety devices
The key cutting machine is equipped with safety devices and
machine guards that delimit the field of action of the opera-
tors to guarantee their safety.
2.2.1 Protection devices
• Ground Connection (A).
• The machine will stop immediately as you release the car-
riage handle: power will be cut off and all electrical devic-
es will be de-energised (B).
• Guard to protect the operator from projected metal
chips or scrap (C).

2.2.2 Equipos de protección individual
Durante las operaciones de uso y mantenimiento de la má-
quina duplicadora hay que prever el uso de equipos de pro-
tección individual como:
•Vestuario:
Quien efectúa el mantenimiento o utiliza la
máquina duplicadora tendrá que llevar un
vestuario conforme a las características prin-
cipales de seguridad en vigor.
Siempre tendrá que llevar zapatos de seguri-
dad con suela antideslizante en lugares con
suelo deslizante.
•Gafas:
Durante las fases de duplicado, el operador
tendrá que llevar gafas protectoras.
•Guantes:
Trabajando con fresas y cepillos metálicos hay
que usar guantes de protección adecuados
para evitar lesiones.
2.2.3 Señalizaciones de seguridad
La máquina duplicadora lleva las siguientes señalizaciones
de seguridad.
Uso obligatorio de gafas protectoras.
Uso obligatorio de guantes de protección.
2.2.4 Instrucciones generales de seguridad
¡Cuidado! ¡Importante!
Asegúrese de que la puesta a tierra sea siempre
conectada.
Durante las fases de duplicado siempre tener
las manos en las palancas de traslado del carro.
Siempre apague el circuito de alimentación
eléctrica (utilizando el interruptor) antes de in-
tervenir sobre partes que puedan ponerse en
movimiento.
No moje con agua u otros líquidos las conexio-
nes eléctricas.
2.2.2 Personal protective equipment
When operating and maintaining the key cutting machine users
must wear the following personal protective equipment:
•Protectiveclothing:
Maintainers and key cutting machine opera-
tors must wear protective clothing that com-
plies with the basic safety requirements
currently in force. In case of slippery floors us-
ers must wear safety shoes with anti-slip
soles.
• Safety glasses:
During key cutting operations operators must
wear eye protection (glasses or goggles).
•Gloves:
If metal milling cutters and brushes are pre-
sent, operators must wear protective gloves to
avoid injuries.
2.2.3 Safety signs
The key cutting machine bears the following safety signs.
Wear safety glasses.
Wear safety gloves.
2.2.4 General safety requirements
Warning! Important!
Make sure that the grounding system is well
connected.
During key cutting operations always keep your
hands on the handles that control carriage
movements.
Always de-energise the machine (turn off the
main switch) before servicing mobile parts that
are electrically operated.
Do not pour water or other liquids onto the en-
gine or electrical connections.

das a una utilización segura de la máquina durante todas las
etapas de uso, transporte, ajuste, funcionamiento y mante-
nimiento. Todavía no todos los riesgos posibles para los ope-
radores y el ambiente pueden considerarse eliminados,
tanto por razones de orden tecnológico (fiabilidad de los dis-
positivos) como de gestión (dificultades excesivas de ges-
tión).
Durante la gestión hay que tener mucho cuidado con los
riesgos siguientes, presentes en la máquina o, de todas for-
mas, relacionados a la gestión:
• Riesgos relativos el lugar de instalación
En el lugar de instalación de la máquina po-
drían ocurrir situaciones peligrosas por el co-
rrecto funcionamiento (ver párrafo 5.2.0 a la
página 17).
• Riesgo eléctrico
Teniendo en consideración que la máquina
tiene dispositivos eléctricos no hay que sub-
valorar el riesgo de fulguración relacionado a
un posible malfuncionamiento. La línea de ali-
mentación de la máquina tendrá sus disposi-
tivos de mando, control y protección
(interruptor magneto-térmico y diferencial).
• Riesgo mecánico
La máquina está dotada de fresas y palpado-
res usados para el duplicado de las llaves. Por
eso el operador tiene que poner la máxima
atención a los riesgos de amputación de las
manos durante las fases de duplicado y de
sustitución de las herramientas y de atrapa-
do/empotramiento de los trajes, de cadenas/
brazaletes/anillos y/o pelo largo en las piezas
en movimiento; les recomendamos utilizar go-
rros para contener el pelo.
2.3.0 Residual risks
The machine has been designed with the utmost care to
make it safe throughout production, transport, adjustment
and maintenance operations. Nevertheless not all risks for
either operators or the environment could be eliminated, be
it for technological reasons (material reliability) or manage-
ment-related issues (overcomplicated operations).
Therefore, when operating the machine the following residu-
al risks - as well as those connected with its use - must be
taken into due consideration:
• Risks related to the place of installation
The place where the machine is installed
might present hazards that could disrupt the
correct functioning of the machine (see para-
graph5.2.0 on page17).
• Electrical hazard
Since the machine is equipped with electrical
devices, in case of faults there might be a risk
of electrocution. The power line must be fitted
with the appropriate control and protection
devices (circuit breaker, thermal overload
switch and differential switch).
• Mechanical hazard
The machine is fitted with milling cutters and
tracer points used in key cutting operations.
Operators must watch out to avoid cutting
their hands when they are cutting keys or
changing tools. Operators shall also prevent
clothes, necklaces/bracelets/rings and/or
long hair from becoming trapped or entangled
in the moving parts of the machine. The use of
caps to contain hair is recommended.

3.1.0 Características principales
EASY es una máquina duplicadora y se ha proyectado y fa-
bricado para realizar la duplicación de llaves cilindro, coche
y en cruz con mordazas reversibles de dos caras que asegu-
ran una excelente sujeción.
La máquina satisface los más modernos estándares de se-
guridad: posee un dispositivo de seguridad para el arranque
de la fresa mediante movimiento del carro hacia adelante,
un interruptor independiente para el movimiento cepillo y
una robusta pantalla de plexiglás de protección.
Para lograr mayor eficiencia y fiabilidad, el motor y el ca-
bleado están protegidos por un fusible que evita las sobre-
cargas de tensión accidental.
Con las duplicadoras EASY se puede obtener los siguientes
tipos de llave:
3.1.0 Main features
EASY is a key cutting machine designed and manufactured
to copy cylinder, car and cruciform keys with double-sided
reversible jaws that guarantee an optimal grip.
The machine complies with all the latest safety standards: it
has a safety on the cutter start, that acts by moving the car-
riage forwards, an independent switch to activate the brush
and a strong Plexiglas protection screen.
For higher reliability and efficiency, the engine and cables
are protected by a fuse against accidental voltage over-
loads.

Interruptor General
Ponendo el interruptor general en ON, la máquina es puesta
en condiciones de stand-by preparada para el uso.
Palpador
Obtiene el cifrado de la llave “master”, siguiendo la lectura
de la llave original.
• Dados de fijación traslado horizontal palpador (A)
Aflojando los tornillos prisioneros se regula la
posición horizontal del sensor usando el torni-
llo (D)
• Tornillo de regulación longitudinal sensor (B)
• Dado de fijación traslado longitudinal palpador (C)
Desbloqueando el tornillo prisionero de fija-
ción se regula el movimiento longitudinal del
sensor utilizando el tornillo (B)

Abrazaderas
La máquina está dotada de 2 abrazaderas de dos caras que
deben ser posicionadas según la llave que se debe duplicar.

Obran en las mordazas de las abrazaderas para
el bloqueo de las llaves.
• Varilla calibres de bloqueo (11)
Para programar las referencias de parada para
las llaves con tope.
Main Switch
When the switch is in the ON position, the machine is in the
stand-by mode ready for use.
Tracer point
The tracer point detects the bitting of the 'key sample', and
it follows the profile of the original key to be copied.
• Stop nut for tracer horizontal movement (A)
The tracer horizontal position can be adjusted
by loosening the locking nuts by means of the
screw (D)
• Adjusting screw for tracer longitudinal movement (B)
• Stop nut for tracer longitudinal movement (C)
The tracer longitudinal movement can be ad-
justed by releasing the locking nut by means

Fresa
La fresa se mueve en paralelo al palpador y efectúa el corte
de la llave “bruta” (llave duplicada).
Empuñadura carro
La empuñadura del carro tiene una doble función: manda los
traslados verticales del carro y pone en marcha la máquina.
Pulsador start cepillo
Pone en marcha el cepillo.
Palanca de traslado horizontal carro
Con esta palanca se manda el traslado horizontal del carro.
Pantalla de seguridad
En la duplicadora se instala una pantalla de protección que
protege el operador de posible proyección de virutas duran-
te la operación.
3.3.0 Accesorios en dotación con la máquina
La máquina duplicadora está dotada de un juego de accesorios
de serie utilizados para el ajuste, el uso y el mantenimiento de
la máquina:
Milling cutter
The milling cutter moves parallel to the tracer and performs
the cutting of the "blank" key (duplicate key).
Carriage handle
The carriage handle has a twofold function: it controls the
vertical movement of the carriage and it starts the machine
automatically.
'Start brush' push button
Push this button to start the brush
Lever to control carriage horizontal movement
This lever controls the horizontal movement of the carriage
Protective screen
The key cutting machine is equipped with a protective
screen that prevents operators from being hit by projected
metal chips during machining.

4Transporte y emplazamiento
4Transport and positioning
4.1.0 Embalaje
La máquina y los elementos que la componen, antes de ser trans-
portados, están en un envase de cartón y fijados por medio de los
cursores de poliestireno epanso que garantizan la seguridad y la in-
tegridad. El embalaje se compone de una caja de cartón cuyas di-
mensiones se encuentran en la figura siguiente.
¡Cuidado! ¡IMPORTANTE!
Os recomendamos que guardéis el embalaje du-
rante el período de validez de la garantía.
4.2.0 Transporte
La Duplicadora normalmente se envía con los elementos consti-
tuyentes ya montados. Los símbolos colocados en el exterior del
embalaje indican las condiciones mejores de transporte.
4.2.1 Descarga y manutención de la máquina
La descarga se puede efectuar manualmente sin la utiliza-
ción de medios para la manutención.
Pueden verificarse desequilibrios con consi-
guiente vuelco y caída de la máquina.Cualquier
daño, aunque no tan serio, perjudicaría el fun-
cionamiento de la máquina.
4.2.2 Control de la mercancía y verificación de even-
tuales daños
Cuando la mercancía llegue verificará inmediatamente si
todas las partes indicadas en el formulario de entrega o
en el “Packing list” están intactas.
Si faltan algunas partes, si el embalaje sufrió alteraciones o
si la mercancía sufrió algún daño, les rogamos redactar una
acta de constatación refrendada por el transportador. Con-
tacte inmediatamente con Keyline S.p.A. y espere las ins-
trucciones apropiada.
Tenga cuidado porque si no hay una comunicación inmedia-
ta los derechos de indemnización caducan.
No elimine las protecciones hasta la instalación a menos que no
haya claros signos de daños.
Las cajas abiertas para el control tienen que ser manejadas con
cuidado para evitar daños al contenido; embale otra vez las par-
tes y almacénelas en un lugarseguro hasta su instalación. Véase
Almacenaje temporáneo como se tratan estas unidades.
4.1.0 Packing
Prior to transport the machine and its component parts are
packed in a carton and fixed in it with polystyrene foam cov-
ers that allow a safe and damage-free handling of the goods.
The dimensions of the carton are shown below.
Warning! IMPORTANT!
We recommend you to keep the packaging dur-
ing the warranty period.
4.2.0 Transport
As a rule the key cutting machine is despatched with com-
ponent parts already assembled. The markings on the pack-
ing materials indicate how to handle the machine during
transport.
4.2.1 Unloading and handling the machine
The machine can be unloaded manually; no hoisting equip-
ment is required.
Be careful not to throw the machine off balance,
let it tip over and fall. Even a small damage
would impair its correct functioning.
4.2.2 Item ckecklist and detection of damage
Upon delivery, check that all items listed in the consignment
note or in the packing list are in good condition. If any items
are missing, the packing has been tampered with or the
goods are damaged write a statement in the delivery note,
sign it and have the carrier sign it too. Notify Keyline S.p.A.
immediately and wait for the relevant instructions.
Please note that if you fail to notify the damage immediately
you will lose your rights to damage compensation.
Do not remove protective covers before the installation - un-
less they are damaged. Packages that were opened to exam-
ine the contents must be handled with care to avoid
damaging the goods; re-pack the parts and store them in a
safe place until the installation. For more detailed informa-
tion on how to handle these parts refer to the chapter “Tem-
porary storing”.

4.2.3 Abertura del embalaje
La máquina tiene que ser desembalada según las indicacio-
nes siguientes:
1. Cortar los precintos.
2. Remover los clips de costura.
3. Libere la máquina del embalaje.
4.3.0 Emplazamiento
Una vez eliminado el embalaje, coloque la duplicadora EASY
sobre la superficie de trabajo.
4.3.1 Almacenaje temporáneo
Si la duplicadora no se coloca enseguida en su lugar de ins-
talación, almacénela en un lugar seco y bien ventilado.
• Aplique un revestimiento de protección adecuado
contra la corrosión encima todas la superficies que
están sujetas a oxidación y corrosión.
• Averigüe frecuentemente la eventual oxidación.
• Hay que proteger las partes de goma contra las tem-
peraturas bajas y no tienen que ser almacenada al ex-
terior ni siquiera durante un breve periodo. Mantenga
las partes de goma bien ventiladas si el ambiente es
caliente.
¡Cuidado!
En caso de almacenaje prolongado, de largas
paradas después de un periodo de uso o largo
atraso en la puesta en marcha de la máquina
después de su envío, puede ocurrir que algunas
de las juntas o anillos de estanqueidad se endu-
rezcan provocando perdidas o gripados.
Por períodos de no funcionamiento superiores a
6 meses, hacer una inspección completa de
toda la máquina, sustituyendo todas las guarni-
ciones o piezas deterioradas durante el almace-
naje o la parada.
Esta operación necesita mucho cuidado y tiene
que ser confiada a personal calificado y compe-
tente para evitar que trabajos mal efectuados o
reensamblajes imperfectos provoquen daños a
los aparatos durante la repuesta en marcha.
¡Cuidado! ¡IMPORTANTE!
Asegúrese de que:
No haya goteos de estructuras de hierro.
No haya posibilidades de daños para el pasaje
deequipamientos,mercancías opersonas cerca
de la máquina.
4.2.3 Opening the package
Remove the machine from the packing materials following
the instructions below:
1. Cut the straps;
2. Remove staples;
3. Remove the machine from the carton.
4.3.0 Placing the machine
After removing the packing materials, take hold of the ma-
chine base and move the EASY key cutting machine onto the
workstation.
4.3.1 Temporary storing
If the installation of the machine does not occur immediate-
ly, store the machine in a dry and properly ventilated place.
• Apply an appropriate coating to prevent corrosion of
surfaces that may suffer oxidation and corrosion.
• Check regularly for corrosion.
• Rubber parts must be protected against too low tem-
peratures. Never store them outdoors, not even for
short periods. Keep them well ventilated in case of hot
temperatures.
Warning!
If the machine is stored or remains unused for
long periods or if it is started a long time after
delivery, gaskets or retaining rings mayundergo
hardening thus causing leaks or seizures.
If the period of inactivity is longer than 6
months, inspect the machine carefully and re-
place any gaskets or parts that may have de-
cayed during storing or downtime.
To avoid that inaccurate operations or re-as-
sembling may damage the equipment at the
time of start-up, the utmost care must be used
in performing such inspection, that shall be car-
ried out by qualified and skilled personnel.
Warning! IMPORTANT!
Make sure that:
there is no dripping from iron and metal struc-
tures;
the transit of equipment, goods or people near
the machine does not damage it.
