GENERAL INFORMATION
The SA162 / SA162F and SA164 / SA164F
are splitter amplifiers that are designed
to amplify television signals that are
of acceptable quality to one outlet
unamplified, but when the signal is
split to two or four outlets, noticeable
deterioration is present.The SA162 and
SA164 use belling lee or pal connectors.
The SA162F and SA164F use F type
connectors.The low noise figure and high
return loss makes these amplifiers ideal for
both digital and analogue applications.
TECHNICAL ADVICE
Check every connection: ensure there
is no earth braid touching the centre
conductor of the coax cable. If using a
screw on belling lee plug (SA162 / SA164),
place the base of the plug on the cable,
push earth braid back over the plastic
sheath of the coax and apply the clamp
then screw on the centre part of the plug.
Screw the outer of the plug to the base
of the plug. If using a crimp on belling lee
connector (SA162 / SA164) or F type
connector (SA162F / SA164F) strip the
coax back as per diagram with a cable
stripper, apply connector then crimp.

SA162 and SA162F
This amplifier has 1 input with 2 outputs.
After the splitter is considered, there is
16 dB of gain at 860 MHz and 12 dB at
44 MHz to allow for signal equalisation.
The low noise figure of less than 4 dB
coupled with an output level of 100 dBµV
(Din45004B*) makes it an ideal
multi-purpose amplifier.
Mount splitter amplifiers in a weather-proof
location as close to the antenna as possible.
SA164 and SA164F
This amplifier has 1 input with four outputs.
After the splitter is considered, there is
16 dB of gain at 860 MHz and 12 dB at
44 MHz to allow for signal equalisation.
Using the tilt control will reduce the VHF
gain by up to 6 dB.The low noise figure of
less than 4 dB coupled with an output level
of 100 dBµV (Din 45004B*) makes it an ideal
multi-purpose amplifier.
WARRANTY
Standard Communications PTY. LTD. warrants this Kingray product to be free from defects in material
and workmanship for a period of 3 years from the date of installation and reserves the right to void
the warranty if the unit was misused, improperly installed or damaged by the claimant.
