Do not open/modify the device, as it may cause damage to the unit and void the Warranty.
For internal repairs, consult your dealer or an Authorized Service Center.
Do not use any accessories or power supplies other than what comes with the device,
otherwise it could void the warranty.
Protect from humidity. Do not put it in water and be careful to protect it from rain, sea
water, or high humidity environment. Do not operate the unit near a bath tub, shower, sink,
swimming pool, etc.
Protect from high temperatures
To avoid damage or mis-operation of the device, only use in temperature of 0 ~ +40°C(32 ~
104°F).
Do not bring the device suddenly from a hot to a cold place, or vice versa. This may cause
damage to the inside of the unit by creating condensation.

The symbol of crossed-out garbage shows that this product should not be treated as
household waste, as it falls into the category of electric /electronic equipment for recycling.
This electronic device should not be disposed of in regular trash. We strongly advise you to

Quick Setup Guide
1. Take the unit from box and ensure you have received all included items(pg. 3).
2. Connect the USB Receiver to the computer and install the WUSB software.
3. Power on your device using the power supply and open the WUSB software on the computer to conrm
you have a live video feed. We recommend setting up the Storage Location in Setup at this time also.
4. Your device is now ready to be placed in the area of desired surveillance.
5. Default recording is Motion Detection, but it must be enabled upon opening the software. To do this,
simply click on the Detect button on the right hand side of the WUSB Software’s Interface.

WUSB Soware Interface
PClick the WUSB icon to open the program. The main WUSB screen can be seen below.
1. Monitoring Screen: This will display the camera’s view.
2. Channel Status: This area will display the status of individual cameras.

Snapshot: Take a snapshot of the camera’s view.
Detect: Control the viewer to go in to detection mode or standby mode. Web Server: Enables

4. Channel Information: Displays the current channel.

System Sengs
1. Language Support: Changes the language displayed on the program.
2. Mail Server: Email notication settings.
SMTP: Your outgoing mail sever.
Email: Your email address.
Account: Your email user name; usually the same as email address
Password: Password for your email address.
3. Start Up Options: Settings that are in place when software is launched.
Start Detecting: Starts the software in detection mode.
Start Web Server: Starts the software with web server enabled.
4. Recurring Recording: Records over older les to save space on storage drive.
5. Record: Storage location for video recordings and snapshots.
6. Web Service: Conguration for remote view.
IP Address: Your computer’s IP address.
Web Server Port: Port used to remote view.
Web Server Account: Default user name is “user.”
Web Server Password: Password for remote view.

Remote View Setup
Follow these instructions carefully to enable remote view capability. Remotely viewing the WUSB software
requires an“always on” broadband internet connection, a router, and port forwarding.
• Open a Router Port
Opening a port on your router allows WUSB to broadcast your live video feed to the internet. It is
recommended to open a port that is not a common port, such as port 30000. There are several options
for opening a router port. It is recommended you contact your router manufacturer’s technical support
or refer to your router user manual. If contacting the router manufacturer, tell them you need to open
a router port for remote view of a IP security camera. They should walk you through the process.
If you’re using a broadband router (a combination modem/hub) provided by your internet service
provider (ISP), contact your ISP for instructions on opening a port. Another option is to visit http://www.
portforward.com to nd step-by-step instructions on port forwarding for your particular router. There are
advertisements and a great deal of technical information on this web site so follow these instructions
carefully:
Scroll to the bottom, nd, and click on your router brand and model. In the top right corner of the
screen, click the words “Click here to skip this advertisement…” Click the orange “Default Guide” (located
in the last sentence in the upper paragraph) - Here you will nd step-by-step instructions on opening a
port on your router. Once again, when you open a port, use an uncommon port, such as 30000. You may
also open a range of ports, e.g. 30000-30005 if necessary.
• Find Your External IP Address/Verify Your Open Router Port
There are many sites that can provide you your external IP address. YouGetSignal.com enables you to nd
your external IP address and verify the port you opened in your router is truly open. Your port must be
open in order use to remote view.
Go to http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ (see image above). You will see your external IP
address in the “Remote Address” eld. Type the port number you opened in the “Port Number” eld. Click
Check. If it tells you the port is open then port forward was executed successfully. If it tells you that the
port is closed, the port was not opened successfully. Double check your router settings as a port must be
opened in order to use remote view.

Remote Viewing
Open a web browser (Internet Explorer), in the Address Bar of your browser type in your external IP address
and open port number. Use the following format: http://IPADDRESS:PORT. As an example, you would use
http://12.34.567.89:30000 for the address and port number in image on pg 6.
• Notes
The view that you see remotely is the current view that you have showing in the software. e.g. if you are
showing channel 2 (camera 2) in the software, this is the view you will see when logging in remotely. If
you want to see all 4 cameras from your remote location, make sure you have quad-view displayed.
Capture software must be running or it will not broadcast your video feed.
“Remote-View” is exactly that - a live view from a remote computer. This will not work from a computer
that is on the same network.
Occasionally, your ISP may change your external IP address. It may also change after a power outage, or
if you’ve turned o or unplugged your broadband modem. If your remote view stops working, check to
see if your external IP address has changed.
• A Few Words About Remote-View Technology
Streaming video is only as good as the equipment and connections that enable it. There are many
variables that aect how smooth the video stream is that you actually see remotely. These variables
include the speed, current load, and bandwidth of the internet connections of both the web server
(your computer) and the remote view computer or smart phone, your ISP’s limitations on bandwidth,
the speed and current load on your cellular network (2G, 3G, 4G, etc). Video loss and freezing video are
typically due to an insucient internet connection. If video loss or freezing occurs this will not aect
WUSB recording.

Camera Sengs
1. Name and Note: Name denes the name of the camera. Note is for any special notes about the camera.
2. Text Display: Allows customization of what information can be displayed on the cameras image.
Channel Information: Check to show channel number and/or channel name.
Date Time: Check to show date, time, and/or week.
Font Size: Adjusts the size of the font being displayed.
Fore color: The color of text shown on the screen.
Background: The text’s background color on the screen.
Watermark: Check for attaching a watermark image on the screen.

Image Adjust
1. Image Adjust: Change video parameters for brightness, saturation and gamma.
2. Choose from the following to adjust the image.
Flip Horizontal: Flips the image horizontally.
Flip Vertical: Flips the image vertically.
Rotate: Rotates the image accordingly with rotation angle and direction.

Recording Sengs
1. Image Quality: Adjusts the quality of the recording format.
Resolution: Adjusts the recording image size.
Quality: Recording image detail.
2. Surveillance Mode: Adjusts the types of recording.
Schedule: Set recording schedule. Also choose whether to record continuously or in motion
detection.
Record-at-click: Once in standby, click to record in continuous or motion.
Non-record: No recording.
Full-time: Will always record.
Triggered: Will record a time frame when viewer detects movement.
3. Scheduled Based: If “schedule” is chosen from mode you can preset a time to record.
Add new schedule: Add new schedule.
Edit schedule: Edit an existing schedule.
Delete schedule: Delete a selected schedule.

Moon Detecon Recording
1. Display Screen: Shows the current cameras image.
2. Detection Settings: Allows custom areas to detect motion.
Full Area Detection: Detects all areas on the screen (Less sensitive).
Custom Detection: Detects user created detection blocks. This is recommended to detect motion
with higher sensitivity.
Add New Area: Select, then click and drag on the cameras image to create motion zones. Create
multiple small motion zones for higher motion detection sensitivity.
Delete Area: Select a motion area on the cameras image and select delete area to remove.
Delete All Areas: Deletes all motion areas on the cameras image.
Test Detection: Test motion detection by moving an object in front of the camera. When motion is
triggered the area on the cameras image will change color.
Sensitivity: Adjust sensitivity of the motion area.

Alert Sengs
Alert settings will be available if the recording option is set to “Triggered”. This section allows you to set
notication options in the event that motion detection is triggered.
1. Vibration Alert: When motion is detected, WUSB software window will shake or “vibrate” on the display.
2. Message Alert: Prompts a message on WUSB software when motion is detected.
3. Sound Alert: When motion is detected, the selected sound will occur.
4. Email Alert: An email will be sent when motion is detected.

Playback
1. Main Screen Display: This area shows the video output from the recording.
2. Time and Channel Selection: Select recording time and channel to lter recording time. Once selection
is made select Query.
3. Record List: This area shows a list of recorded videos. In this area you can select a recording le and
delete it or open new recordings.
4. Video Tracker: Use this to navigate through the video.
5. Playback Controls: Use these tools to cycle through les, fast forward, and select playback speed.
6. Capture Options: Use the camera to capture a screen shot on the main display. Use the folder to access
previously recorded screen shots.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why does the software prompt“disk space is not enough! Cannot start detection”?
A. There is not enough free space on the disk where the les are being saved. Try deleting old videos or other
unnecessary les to make more space. You may also consider upgrading to a larger disk, lowering quality
settings, or using only Motion Detection Recording to minimize the amount of recorded les.
Q. Where are my recorded les?
A. To check the storage location, go into Setup in the software. Under‘Storage Location’ verify the location
where the software stores the videos and snapshots. You may also change the location.
Q. Why are some of the software controls not accessible?
A. Some controls are disabled when in multi-screen mode and/or when detection is enabled and running.
Make sure you are in single screen mode and detection is turned o to be able to access all software controls.
Q. How do I playback my video?
A. Using the software, press the‘Playback’ button in the main screen, then use the search function to nd the
desired le and play it. Alternatively, you may navigate to the les in the stored location and use Windows
Media Player for direct playback.
Q. Why does the software not start recording after enabling detection?
A. First verify your recording settings. If set to Trigger, nothing will be recorded until motion is detected by
the camera. If set on a schedule, verify the current time in the software is within the range of the set recording
schedule. If it isn’t, the software will not record.
Q. Motion Detection Recording is enabled, but is not being triggered when there is
motion in front of the camera. How do I get it to record?
A. Motion detection sensitivity can be increased by breaking the area up into several, smaller spaces within
the software. To do this, go into the ‘Motion Detection’ tab in the settings. Choose‘Custom Detection’, then
select ‘Add New Areas’. In the image preview window, create 9-12 squares in a checkerboard type pattern,
covering the entire area. Once done, click ‘Apply’ and then ‘Conrm’ to save these settings.
