INSTALLATION
PLANNING
The SL100 Searchlight is supplied with a 10” cable and a waterproof plug pre-installed. This allows the searchlight to be easily
removed without cutting wires. One 19’ Extension Cable with pre-installed waterproof connectors and a power and remote
harness is supplied
Note:
a. If the connectors on the 19’ extension cable are too large to run through the vessel, the cable may be cut and spliced
(wire color to wire color) by using heat shrink type butt connectors, or soldering and heat shrink.
b. If the supplied Routing Cable will not reach from the SL100 to the Remote Control, optional 13’ (EC100) Extension
Cables are available. The Routing cable may be extended up to 100 feet using 12 or larger gauge cable.
The SL100 is capable of being connected to 12 or 24VDC. Current draw: Approximately 2.3A at 12 VDC / 1.2A at 24VDC
MOUNTING THE SEARCHLIGHT
1. Find a location on the deck or radar arch with suffecient strength (SL100 weight
- 4.2 pounds) to hold the search light in place.
2. Using the SL100 Rubber Gasket as a template and a pencil/pen, mark the 4
mounting screw holes.
3. Mark a dead center point between the 4 mounting base screws for the power
and controller cable.
4. Drill the four holes using 3/8”(9mm) for the search light base power and
controller cable how using a 1” (25mm) hole saw.
5. Install the rubber gasket onto the searchlight.
6. Carefully feed the SL100 cable through the 1” hole and attached the base with
4 mounting bolts, carefully so not to pinch the power and controller cables.

MOUNTING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Note:The remote control is waterproof and may be mounted in a exposed
location. However it is recommended to protect the remote from water when not
in use.
1. Find a location large enough to mount the remote controller
2. Using the remote as a template and the dimension image and mark the
screw holes and cable cutout location.
3. Drill 4 pilot holes and cut out a 1.2”W x 0.80 hole as shown in the drawing.
4. Connect the cable to the remote controller and attached the controller
with 4 stainless wood screws carefully so not to pinch the controller
cable.
OPERATION
Press UP/Down or Left/Right keys to move rotate the searchlight.
Press the ON/OFF key will turn the search light beam on or off.
DUAL SPEED
After pressing the ON/OFF button, press and hold the Left and Right buttons simultanously until
The backlight changes.
