These instructions should be read carefully and retained after installation by the end user for future reference and
maintenance.
These instructions should be used to aid installation of the following product:
OSPCR
SAFETY
•This product must be installed in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations
(BS7671) and current Building Regulations. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician
•Please isolate mains prior to installation or maintenance
•Please note the IP (Ingress Protection) rating of this product when deciding the location for installation
•Do not overload this accessory or subject it to conditions outside its rating
•This product is IP65 rated (IP20 from rear)
INSTALLATION
•Choose a suitable location for installation. Do not install the unit facing artificial or reflected light, this will
cause the sensor to cycle on and off at night
•The product is designed to fit into a 17mm cut-out within a suitable IP rated enclosure, it cannot be
installed independently
•Using the seals and lockrings supplied, place the sensor into the hole and fasten securely against the
enclosure wall. The inner lockring may be omitted and the outer lockring tightened against the body of
the sensor, but both seals should be used (see Fig. 1)

•Switch on and check for correct operation
•There is a switching delay of 20-120 seconds after the ambient light level changes. It is normal for the
sensor to take a few minutes to turn off when first installed
•To test, cover with opaque material, do not use fingers as light passing through fingers may be enough
to keep the switch open
