18 Getting started
2.5 Standby position and power setting
In combination with an accessory head, you can either use your Kobold VK200
Upright Vacuum Cleaner in the power setting or set it into standby position.
SETTING THE DEVICE INTO STANDBY POSITION
Caution! Risk of injury from toppling device!
The standby position is used to park the device after you have finished
working with it or when you take a break.
• The Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner with the accessory head in
standby position must be placed on a level surface.
Note! Risk of damage when the device starts up automatically.
• Note that the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner starts up auto-
matically when you take it out of the standby position if you have not
first switched off the mains switch.
The standby position is used to store your Upright Vacuum Cleaner when you are
not using it. You can also “park” it in this position if you want to take a short
break while cleaning. In the standby position, the device stands upright and
firmly on the floor.
You can put the Upright Vacuum Cleaner into standby position when it is facing
straight ahead.
• In order to do so, turn the Upright Vacuum Cleaner at the pivot so that it and
the accessory head, such as the Automatic Electric Brush , faces straight
ahead.
Now you can set it to standby position.

EB400 Automatic Electric Brush or the Kobold VF200 Carpet Freshener
into the standby position, and have not switched it off via the main switch,
the Upright Vacuum Cleaner automatically switches off the fan and the
brush of the EB400/VF200 stops. The filter level indicator and the control
lights of the accessory head continue to be lit.

rod handle back so that you hear it disengage from the standby position.
