Please read all the way through the relevent assembly instructions to familiarise yourself with the process before
you start and pay close attention to the alignment of all the parts in the diagrams.
Assembly time for each Tensegrity table should be approximately 15-20 minutes.

Fit two arms into the slots in the
assembly plate. Screw two
assembly plate screws through
the arms into the assembly plate.
Do not tighten too much or you
risk marking the arms.

Fit the central cable into the slots in the ends
of the arms and secure with two short
roundhead screws.
The screws should pass cleanly through the
loops on the ends of the cable and screw
down tight onto the arms. If they feel tight as
you screw them in do not force them. Back
the screws off, reposition the loops and try
again.

Screw two countersunk screws through the
base plate into the arm and tighten.
It might help to have an assistant hold the
plate and arm together while you screw the
screws in.

Peel the backing off the three rubber
feet and fit them over the three dimples
in the bottom of the base plate.

Position the top plate over the arm
with the top surface upwards and
screw two countersunk screws
through the top plate into the arm
and tighten.
Identify the top surface of the top plate, this is the
side with the countersinks on the two holes.

Fit one outer cable loop into any slot in
the top plate and secure with one short
roundhead screw.
The screw should pass cleanly through the
loop on the end of the cable and screw
down tight onto the edge of the top
plate. If it feels tight as you screw it in do
not force it. Back the screw off, reposition
the loop and try again.
Repeat for the other two outer cables.

1. Fit Shuttle
2. Fit Long Roundhead screw
3. Fit Short roundhead screw
Fit one shuttle into a short slot in the base. 1.
Fit one long roundhead screw through the hole in the edge of the 2.
plate and screw it into the shuttle a couple of turns.
Screw one short roundhead screw into the shuttle a couple of turns. 3.
Repeat for the other two shuttles.

Fit the three outer cables through the
holes in the base plate.

Loop one outer cable around its opposite shuttle screw. 1.
Pull gently to take up the slack in the cable. 2.
DO NOT PULL THE CABLE TIGHT LIKE A GUITAR STRING!
Make sure the long roundhead screw has been pulled fully into its hole. 3.
Screw the shuttle screw down tightly onto the outer cable. 4.

other two outer
cables. When they
are all fitted you
can tuck the excess
lengths underneath
the other cables.

Remove the assembly plate, the table will be quite
wobbly at this stage.
Use the T6 driver to tighten each screw around the
base until the top plate is held steady and
horizontal. It is best to work around the three screws
in turn tightening each one a little bit each time.
DO NOT TIGHTEN THE CABLES LIKE A GUITAR STRING!
The central cable has an 8kg breaking strain, if you
tighten the three outer cables too tighly you will
break the central cable.
The recommended tension is is just enough so that
when you nudge the Top Plate it wobbles slighty.
The table is not designed to carry heavy loads on
top. You can put light objects (250g) on top for
brief demonstration purposes but it is best to avoid
leaving heavy objects on it permanently.

Fit one wire loop through
the hole in one of the
magnets.
Repeat for the second
wire loop and magnet.
MAGNET SAFETY: When
separating the magnets use
a sideways sliding motion.
When separated do not
allow them to snap together,
they could damage
themselves or injure you.
Rotate and twist
the wire loops until
they fit in the
magnets as shown.

1. Fit one magnet into one of the pockets in the
assembly plate.
2. Swing the wire Loop into the slot in the arm.
3. Screw one grub screw into the arm until it is
flush with the top face.
The screw should pass cleanly through the hook
on the end of the wire loop and screw down
flush with the arm. If it feels tight as you screw it in
do not force it. Back the screw off, reposition the
hook and try again.
Repeat for the second arm.
