1. INTRODUCTION
ADD A USB DEVICE TO YOUR PC
☞ Instantly add USB peripherals to your PC or Notebook. Never open your computer
case again after you have your USB Port (PCI/PCMCIA) card installed and say

☞ The USB Port (Universal Serial Bus) allows you to instantly connect USB devices to
your computer.

USB PORT FEATURES
This is a true 32-bit PCI-Bus USB card. The Card Bus is the trade name for an
advanced PC Card (also known as PCMCIA card) specification. It fits in a slot like
a conventional PC card and 32-bit path is used for data transfer. It supports the

Note
If you use PCMCIA USB card. At normal time, you don’t need to use AC-DC
adapter that you connect to USB devices. Only in one case that system request
more power and please use our AC-DC adapter.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
ThissetupprogramwillinstallthedriverforNECUSB2.0HostController.Before
youstarttorunthesetupprogram,pleasemakesureyourcomputerisanIBMPC-
compatible system.
This driver can be used either the following operating systems:
• Windows2000.
• WindowsXP.
• WindowsVISTA
DRIVER LIMITATIONS
Current limitations of the driver are: Composite devices and Hi-Speed Isochronous
Transfers are currently not supported.
2. DRIVER INSTALLATION
1. PleasemakesurethisPCI/PCMCIAcardhasbeeninstalledonyoursystem
correctly.
2.InserttheDriverCDtoyourCD-ROMandndthepath=“\USB\USB2.0-NEC\
PC Driver\”.ClicktheSetup.exeFiletoinstall.Aftercopylestoyoursystem,itwill
show the information to ask you restart computer. Select the “Yes, I want to restart
my computer now.” to restart.

Note.
Ifthereisayellowexclamationmarkon“NECPCItoUSB2.0EnhancedHost
Controller”or“USB2.0RootHubDevice”,pleaseremovethisitemfromthe“Device
Manager” by clicking the “Uninstall” button and click “Refresh” to re-install this driver
again.

Nota.
Per la scheda PCMCIA USB non è necessario usare un adattatore AC-DC da
collegare ai dispositivi USB. L’adattatore è necessario nell’unico caso in cui il
sistema richieda maggiore energia di alimentazione.

REQUISITI DI SISTEMA
Il programma di installazione installerà I driver per il dispositivo. Prima di iniziare ad
avviareilprogrammadiinstallazione,accertarechesulcmputersiaunsistemaIBM
PC compatibile.
Il driver può essere usato con i seguenti sistemi operativi:
•Windows2000.
•WindowsXP.
•WindowsVISTA
LIMITAZIONI DRIVER

2. INSTALLAZIONE DRIVER
1. AssicurarsidiaverinstallatocorrettamentelaPCMCIAsulsistema.
2.InserireilCDDrivernellettoreCD-ROMecercailpercorso“\USB\USB2.0-NEC\PC
Driver\”. Clicca il file Setup.exe per avviare l’istallazione. Una volta copiati i file sul
tuosistema,saràvisualizzatalarichiestadiriavviareilsistema.Seleziona“Yes, I
want to restart my computer now.” per riavviare.

3. Dopoaverriavviatoilsistema,controllareseildispositivofunzionacorrettamente.
