Guarantee
Our liability for defective equipment is specified in our terms and conditions of delivery. We assume
no liability for damages resulting from non-observance of the instructions for use and maintenance,
or from non-observance of the specified conditions of use. Only products which are free of defects,
and which demonstrate the characteristics specified by ourselves, are permitted to leave our factory.
Proper functioning is thus assured if the instructions for use and maintenance are carefully observed.
Safety
These instructions for use and maintenance contain essential information which must be observed
during use, maintenance and repair. These instructions for use and maintenance must therefore be
read by trained personnel before the safety shower is placed into service, and a work directive must
be prepared by the operating company which makes reference to these instructions for use, as well
as local and company specific circumstances, and trained personnel must be accordingly instructed
before working on or with the safety shower.
The safety precautions included in these instructions for use, non-observance of which may be
hazardous for human beings and the environment, are identified with the general warning symbol in
accordance with accident prevention regulation BGV A 8:

4
Or with the following symbol for warnings regarding electrical voltage.
The word is added to safety precautions whose non-observance may be hazardous for the respective
technical equipment and its functions.
It is absolutely essential to observe all instructions which are attached directly to the safety shower
systems, and to keep them in a readily and legible condition.
Hazards Resulting from Non-observance of Safety Precautions
Non-observance of safety precautions may be hazardous to human beings, as well as the respective
technical equipment. Non-observance of safety precautions may render the guarantee null and void,
and may bar any possible claims for damage.
All safety precautions listed in these instructions for use and maintenance, all applicable legal
regulations and accident prevention regulations, and the work directive and safety precautions
issued by the operating company must be observed.
Safety Precautions for the Operating Company
Technical safety equipment must be kept in an operationally reliable condition.
The functional reliability of the power supply for the frost guard may not be impaired.
Safety shower systems must be installed such that the user has direct access to the shower.
Safety Precautions for Use, Maintenance, Inspection and Installation Work
The operating company must assure that all maintenance and installation work is executed
by authorised, qualified, trained personnel.
Work may only be performed on the electrical system (if included) by trained electricians
after it has been disconnected from all sources of electrical power –see also the applicable
accident prevention regulation, VDE regulations and regulations issued by your local power
utility (only applies to safety shower systems equipped with electrical accessories).
When locating the unit consider there are no other dangerous risks around the object. When
the system is being operated a lot of water is released from the shower and eye wash, which
can be hazardous if located near certain things like electricity etc...
Impermissible Modes of Operation
The technical safety equipment integrated into KRUSMAN safety shower systems, e.g. heater, alarm
switch, illumination, actuating mechanism etc., must always be kept in good working order.
It is impermissible for the operating company to neglect any of its respective legal responsibilities, for
example:
Non-issuance of the required work directive and/or
Neglecting to prepare a hazard analysis and/or
Non-observance of specified maintenance work, inspection work and periodic testing and/or

5
Neglecting to provide personnel with required instruction for proper use of the safety
shower system, which must be held at least once a year
Range of Applications
KRUSMAN safety shower systems are intended for rinsing and decontaminating persons.
Storage and Transport
COLD WEATHER PROTECTION
When the is frost or freezing temperatures and the tank is not used ie, night time, weekends,
holidays etc.. the power supply should be disconnected and the unit should be placed in an area
which is not cold or subject to freezing. We recommend that the tank is emptied (see location of the
plug below.
Alternatively ensure that the bowser and pump are located in a frost free environment even when
the trailer is fitted with a submersible heating element. THE TRAILER CANNOT BE LEFT OUTSIDE IN
FROSTY OR FREEZING CONDITIONS FOR A PERIOD LONGER THAN 10 HOURS.
Note: Improper handling results in increased danger of tipping and the product not functioning!
Dismantle Emergency shower and eye/face wash (return to mounts on top of the trailer, see images
below), all proximity switches and disconnect the power supply before moving to another location.
Failure to do so may damage the unit and cause failures.
(Eye wash mounted) (Shower attached to tank) (Drainage point)
Dimensions of the trailer
Volume: 1200L
Length: 9' 2" (2795mm)

Installation
Requirements for the Installation Site
Subfloors must be level, and must be capable of withstanding the weight of the safety showers after
installation and falling. Disconnect the trailer from the towing vehicle (if attached).
Beyond this, the installation site must be arranged such that the safety shower:
Cannot be damaged by vehicles
Allows for unobstructed access by users at all times
Is located less than 30 metres from areas of potential danger and can be accessed within 10
seconds. A distance of 3 to 6 metres is recommended in the case of highly caustic
substances.
The area around the shower should be well illuminated, and the shower itself should be
identified with highly visible signs.
Do not position the unit near dangerous hazards (ie Electricity).
(trailer brake) (Rear support stand) (Power pannel/ inlet power/circuit board)
(Power cord included)
Note: The Krusman 7023 has been installed with cut off switches which have been preset prior to
shipment which will prevent the heating element and or the pump from working when there is an
insufficient amount of water available.

7
Proximity Switch connection
The orange and black coloured proximity switches must be fitted correctly as pictured and only have
a clearance of 2-4mm. The proximity switch when activated will ensure there is water follow at either
the eye wash and or Emergency shower (when connected correctly). Ensure the two connectors
pictured below are connected correctly prior to starting of the unit.
(Connected Proximity switch) (Connected shower pipe) (shower pipe support)
(Shower pipe support attached) (Connected Proximity switch) (Connected Proximity switch)

8
Filling
The water inlet is located on top of the trailer (see below). We recommend connecting the trailer to a
water supply using a pipe with a nominal diameter of 1½". Water pressure should have a value of no
more than 6,5 bar. As high pressure may damage the structure of the tank).
The Krusman 7023 portable emergency tank shower and eye wash must be securely positioned on a
flat level surface and using the trailer brake and both the front and rear support stand. Ensure the
complete unit is stable and the shower and eye/face wash is within the relevant standards. This must
be determined at the installation site by installation personnel in accordance with local conditions.
(Filling point and enterance for maintenance)
Initial Start-up
After the installation the shower has to be checked for its function. If the unit does not function see
Malfunction/trouble shooting section of manual.
(Power cord included)
The pump installed on the Krusman 7023 is the Lowara SC407C (see handbook delivered with unit).
When the red light is turned on at the control panel that indicates the pump is working (see below).

Use
Body Showers with pull rod
Pull the lever handle all the way down to the valve lever limit stop.
After the shower has started:
Remove all contaminated clothing which is not stuck to your skin, and rinse all affected areas with
cool, clean water. EN and ANSI standards recommend flushing for 15 minutes continuously, seek
your local safety regulations for further advice and recommendations.
In order to stop the shower, push the pull rod lever up, until the valve is closed.
Seek medical attention!
Models with Optional Eye Shower
Rotate/push the actuating lever a quarter turn in order to start the eye/face wash shower. After
doing so, the dust cover move from the eye/face shower as a result of the first surge of water starts.
The eye shower should not make direct contact with the contaminated eye or any surrounding areas.
Ideal rinsing is assured at a distance of approximately 15 cm (seek your local safety regulations for
further advice and recommendations).
In order to stop the shower, pull the lever up until the valve is closed.
Seek medical attention!
Models with Optional Heater
If an electrical heating is installed, it has been connected by a licensed electrician and is functioning
correctly when the unit has left our warehouse. In this connection the safety instructions have been
followed. A maximum water temperature of approximately +25° C is preset at the factory. The
temperature can be conveniently checked with the thermometer (optional).
This temperature may be fallen short of, depending upon local conditions at the installation site
(wind-chill factor etc.). The heaters are equipped with a regulator, by means of which the
temperature can be adjusted if required (see details in separately enclosed instructions for use). The
operation manual from the supplier is included when the item is shipped to the purchaser. The
submersible heating element is designed to work when the trailer is connected to its power source
and the water temperature has been detected that it is below approximately 15°C. It will then
operate until the water contained in the tank will reach approximately 25°C and then switch off
again.
Red light as seen below means the heating element is working. Please be aware that there is a
automatic cut off switch installed for the heating element. This prevents the heating element
working when there is an insufficent amount of water contained in the tank, thus avioding the heater
to over heat.

Inspections / Malfunctions
The safety shower system must be inspected for externally visible damage and defects after
installation, before initial start-up and at the intervals listed below, as well as after modifications or
repairs.
Weekly Inspection or after installation on site
Test the body and eye shower actuation mechanisms.
Visual inspection of the entire system for damage
Electrical components function
If the unit has been positioned in an unclean environment we recommend that the eye wash
filter inserts be replaced (see below)
(replacement of eye wash filters) (replacement of eye wash filters)
Semi-Annual Inspection
Maintenance and inspection executed by KRUSMAN or a commissioned, certified person
Annual Inspection
Maintenance, inspection and cleaning of the water tank by KRSUMAN or a commissioned, certified
person
Water Quality
According to DIN, water quality comparable to that of drinking water is required for the shower.
Proper water quality must be assured at the location site, and water must be replaced frequently. If
the recommended water additive is used, bacterial infection can be prevented for up to 6 months. If
a heater has been installed it is not advisable to set the temperature higher than +25° C, because this
promotes bacterial growth.
