6. Adjust skid shoes according to adjustment
instructions in the next OPERATION
section.
WARNING: This shaft turns at very
high RPM. If the collar is not locked to
the shaft at tractor end, or if the yoke at
the blower end is not secured properly,
the driveline can fly loose with great
force capable of causing serious injury
or death.
If using Hydraulic Chute Rotation:
1. Release hydraulic pressure by moving the
control valve lever in all directions.
2. Set snowblower in float position, turn
engine off, set parking brake and remove
ignition key.
3. Connect chute rotation hoses to female
quick coupler on the hydraulic control valve.
4. Verify that pushing the hydraulic control
valve lever to the right rotates the chute to
the right in a clockwise direction. If not,
reverse hoses.
5. Match hydraulic hoses to female couplers
using the colored plastic rings.

Detaching Snowblower from Tractor
(Figure 4)
1. Set snowblower in float position, turn
engine off, set parking brake and remove
ignition key.
If using Manual Chute Rotation:
2. Remove the rotation handle, remove the
linchpin (item 4) from male hitch latch and
place male hitch lever (item 1) rearward to
unlock position.
3. Disconnect driveline from tractor. Set
driveline on its support.
If using Hydraulic Chute Rotation:
4. Release hydraulic pressure by moving
control valve lever in all directions.
5. Disconnect hydraulic hoses from tractor
female couplers and install dust caps and
plugs in couplers.
6. Back tractor away from attachment
carefully.
WARNING: To avoid serious
personal injury. Escaping hydraulic/
diesel fluid under pressure can penetrate
the skin causing serious injury.
Do not use your hands to
check for leaks. Use a
piece of cardboard or
paper to search for leaks.
Stop engine and relieve pressure before
connecting or disconnecting lines.
Tighten all connections before starting
engine or pressurizing lines.
If any fluid is injected into the skin, obtain
medical attention immediately or gangrene
may result.

OPERATION
OM 0377SB-A 16
GENERAL PREPARATION
1. Read the operator's manual carefully before
using the tractor and snowblower. Be
thoroughly familiar with the controls and
proper use of the equipment. Know how to
stop the unit and disengage the controls
quickly.
2. Wear adequate winter outer garments while
operating the equipment.
3. Make sure the snowblower is clear of snow
and other material before engaging the
snowblower.
4. Make sure the auger and fan is operating
freely.
5. Check the oil level in the reduction box and
if necessary, add AGMA 5EP extreme
pressure oil, SAE 80W90 gear oil or
equivalent.
6. Check the three shear bolts, one on each
auger section and one between the fan and
gearbox for proper tightness.
7. Adjust the skid shoes so the snowblower
runs leveled.
8. Before engaging the snowblower drive,
always have the engine running at idle.
9. Operate the snowblower at maximum
engine RPM.
OPERATING CONTROLS
Manual Chute Rotation
Turning the handle in a clockwise direction
turns the chute in the counterclockwise
direction.
Electric Deflector
Moving the toggle up or backward raises the
deflector. Moving the toggle down or forward
lowers the deflector
PTO Operation
The mid PTO is activated by pulling up the
PTO lever on left side of seat. Push down to
disengage.
Hydraulic Chute Rotation
Pushing the hydraulic lever to the right rotates
the chute to the right, in a clockwise direction.
Pushing the lever to the left rotates the chute to
the left.
Up and Down Control
Pulling the lever backward raises the
snowblower, pushing the lever forward lowers
the snowblower and pushing the lever fully
forward sets the snowblower in float position.
IMPORTANT : Use full RPM power
when removing wet, sticky snow. Low RPM
power will tend to clog the chute.
CAUTION : Do not use your hands or
feet to unclog the chute. Use a 36" (925mm)
stick or board. Do not attempt to unclog
the chute while engine is running. If the
chute is clogged, disengage the drive shaft,
place the transmission in neutral, set the
parking brake, lower the implement to the
ground, shut off the tractor engine, remove
the ignition key, wait for all movement to
stop and then clear the snow from the
chute.
Increasing Traction and Stability
The use of tire chains and wheel weights or
rear counterweights is recommended for extra
traction and stability, especially when operating
in snow and/or slippery surfaces. See your
dealer for details.
Work And Travel Speed
Working ground speed will depend on the depth
and density of the snow to be cleared. Normally,
ground speed will range from 4 to 7 mph for
light, dry snowfalls (3-6"), and 1-3 mph for
heavy, wet or drifted snow.

ADJUSTMENTS
ATTENTION: To avoid personal
injury, be sure the tractor engine is off,
the drive shaft disengaged, and all
movement has stopped before making
any adjustments.
Deflector Adjustment
Set the angle of deflection according to the
distance the snow must be thrown. To set
the deflector angle, loosen the two deflector
knobs, adjust the deflector to the appropriate
angle, and retighten the two knobs securely.
Skid Shoe Adjustment
(Figure 6)
Adjust the snowblower so that the skid
shoes run level and according to the surface
conditions so that stones are not thrown with
the snow. Adjust both skid shoes to the
same height to keep the cutting edge level
and adjust upwards for smooth surfaces.
Loosen skid shoe bolts and adjust according
to instructions below, and securely tighten
bolts:
Clearance between cutting edge and
surface:
Level paved surface:Insert bolts in bottom holes
Uneven or gravel surface: Insert bolts to the
required distance: 1/2" - center hole
1" - upper hole
Check of the Hub Bolts
(Figure 7)
1. Remove the guard (item 1) by unscrewing the
two bolts (items 2-3).
2. With 1/4" drive ratchet, check the tightening of
the three bolts (item 4) by applying a pressure
between 12 and 15 lbs, while alterning from
one another. Make sure the three bolts have
the same tightness.
3. Reinstall the guard (item 1).
