Assembly instructions
Assembly of the barbecue-on-wheels
Install the wheels and de-
positing tray at the grip-
ping bow (the outer one of
the two bows). Mount the
depositing tray with the
opening facing to the bot-
tom.
Installation and disassembly of the barbecue
Lift the gripping bow while
keeping the stand with the
foot.
Engage the bottom deposi-
ting tray in the lateral
cams.
Finally engage the grilling
module in the top lateral
location cams.
To disassemble the
barbecue-on-wheels pro-
ceed in the opposite order.
Additional applications
The grilling module can also be used without wheels
–as table grill,
–as warming plate or
–as cooking/frying plate (e.g. for fondue).
Note:
If the device has been stored in rooms with an increased air humidity for a
longer period of time (e.g. cellar or garage), water may condense in the de-
vice during commissioning. The condensation water then drops off through
the appropriate openings at the bottom side of the device. Please keep this
in mind when using the device as table grill, warming, cooking or frying pla-
te and put the device onto a suitable base as a precaution.
Electrical connection
The electrical connection is realized by means of a shock-proof plug at a
socket.
Make sure that the connected loads of the household comply with the maxi-
mum voltage of the device (as indicated on the type plate).
If the barbecue shall be used in the open air, we recommend to connect a
high-sensitivity residual-current-operated-circuit-breaker in the incoming
circuit. This type of breaker can be purchased from any electrician.
Please note that the supply connection cable must not contact the hot gril-
ling surface.
Before the first use
Before preparing the first meals clean the grilling surface by means of a
moist cloth and a bit washing-up liquid. Afterwards wipe it dry with a non-
fluffy cloth.
The grilling surface is resistant against thermal shocks (coldness and heat)
and also very robust.
When switching on the grilling surface a short buzzing noise may be heard
from the heating. This is design-specific and has no influence on quality
and operation.

Safety instructions
for connection and operation
Maintenance and repair of the device may only be carried out by an au-
thorized expert in accordance with the valid safety regulations. Improper-
ly performed works endanger your safety.
The supply connecting line is mounted in accordance with mounting
type Y. That means special handling is required. In case of a failure, the
connecting line must be replaced by a Küppersbusch service technician
in order to exclude any safety risk.
The grilling and warming module becomes hot
during operation. Therefore caution:
Danger of burning!
Generally keep little children away from the device.
The device must neither be sprayed down nor stand in the rain.
The device must not be operated under sunshades and awnings or near
objects sensitive to heat or inflammable. Fire hazard!
The device may only be operated on flat surfaces.
The device is exclusively designed for preparing meals in the household.
for the grilling surface
Prevent hard objects from falling onto the grilling surface.
Lumped impact loads may result in a breaking of the grilling surface. In
case of cracks, fractures or breaches of the grilling surface immediately
put the device out of operation. Disconnect the power plug.
The connecting cable must not contact the hot grilling surface.
Do not put any combustible, easily inflammable or deformable objects
onto the grilling surface. This is also valid for the grilling cutlery deposi-
ting tray.
C aution: Overheated greases and oils may inflame themsel-
ves. Prepare meals with greases and oils only under control. Never extin-
guish inflamed greases or oils with water!
The grilling surface must not be used as depositing place when hot.
Do not put kitchen foil or plastic onto the grilling surface. Things
that may melt, e.g. plastics, foils or sugar, must be kept away from the
grilling surface. Melted parts must immediately be lifted off from the
grilling surface when still hot by means of the supplied cleaning scra-
per in order to avoid damaging.
Avoid repeated burning of contaminations.
Lime deposits are harmful to the grilling surface.
Please observe the cleaning and servicing instructions.
Never use silicone-containing cleansing agents to clean the grilling sur-
face!
Use of the device
Observe the safety instructions!
Temperature-setting
Caution!
The grilling surface gets hot during operati-
on. Thus caution: Danger of burning!
Generally keep little children away from the
device.
The grilling surface must not be used as
depositing place when hot.
Three temperature-settings are marked on the grilling zone regulator. How-
ever, fine adjustment of any intermediate temperature is possible. The
barbecue only heats in order to reach or maintain the preset temperature
setting. This means that the barbecue
– also in temperature-setting 3 – does not permanently heat with full po-
wer, but always switches off for a short time. This “cycling” is absolutely
okay and does in no way represent a fault.
Temperature setting Application
●Switching off
or reheating with residual heat
●- 1 Warming (approx. 100 °C)
1Warming (approx. 140 °C)
2Moderate grilling
3Hot grilling
Important:
Preheat the barbecue immediately before grilling for approx. 5 minutes in
temperature setting 3. Grill the meat on both sides at temperature setting 3
until it can be taken off from the grilling surface. In this way the meat
juices remain in the grill goods. Then switch down, if required, and grill the
meat until it is done. Toss thick pieces of meat or sausages several times.
Remove the grilling residuals by means of the cleaning scraper after every
grilling procedure.
If the barbecue has been operated at a low temperature setting, pre-
heat it at temperature setting 3 again before putting new meat on it.
–Do not grease the grilling surface with oil. Lean meat can be greased
with oil.
–In case of pickled meat, remove surplus grease and coarse spices
(like onions, leaves or thyme)
–Please keep in mind that large quantities of meat and sausages need
longer grilling times than small quantities. We therefore recommend
to grill several smaller quantities one after the other.
Note:
Please do not use olive oil for grilling. Burnt-in olive oil residuals can hardly
be removed.
GW 20 11

Cleaning and servicing
Generally switch off the device before any cleaning operation is perfor-
med and disconnect the power plug! Clean the grilling surface after
every use.
Never dip the device into water!
Do not use chafing cleansing agents
like e.g. steel wool or cleaning powder!
Only use the supplied cleaning scraper
to remove coarse grilling residuals.
Never use plastic or razor blade scra-
pers!
Caution: When cleaning the grilling sur-
face do not reach between grilling sur-
face and housing with the peak of the
cleaning scraper!
Immediately remove sugar and melted
plastic by means of the cleaning scra-
per with the grilling surface still hot.
When grilling very fatty food, cautiously dab away the penetrating fat
with kitchen tissue during grilling.
Never use silicone-containing cleansing agents. These cleansing agents
leave a protective film on the grilling surface which may soak into the
food to be grilled during the next grilling. For this purpose the relevant
instructions of the corresponding manufacturers must absolutely be ob-
served.
How to remove contaminations
–First of all remove all food residuals and fat splashes from the hot gril-
ling surface by means of the cleaning scraper.
Cleaning with hot grilling surface:
–Pour cold washing-up water onto the still hot grilling surface. This will
not damage the glass ceramic surface as it is resistant to thermal
shocks.
Caution: Hot vapour is rising! Then clean the grilling surface by me-
ans of a sponge and dry it with kitchen tissue.
–Then clean the grilling surface with a washing-up liquid, rewipe it with
clear water and finally dry it.
Cleaning with cold grilling surface:
–Pour boiling washing-up water onto the grilling surface. Clean the gril-
ling surface by means of a sponge and dry it with kitchen tissue.
In case there are still some soil particles left on the grilling surface after cle-
aning, they can easily be removed by means of a special cleansing agent,
e.g. VSR O-FIX-C. Then wipe off the entire grilling surface with a wet and
afterwards with a dry cloth. Make sure that no cleaning residuals remain on
the grilling surface.
How to clean the lacquered and enamelled parts of the barbecue-on-
wheels
–Clean these parts with a soft sponge and a bit hand washing-up liq-
uid. Then wipe them off with a dry cloth.
We would like to indicate that scratches on the grilling surface caused by
improper cleaning or cutting with knives do not have a negative influence
on the operation of the device. They merely impair the appearance of the
device.
Troubleshooting
Never unscrew the device! Repairs may only be
carried out by an authorized expert.
First of all please check whether an operating error has been made.
Some faults can easily be removed by the user himself.
