Important safety instructions for users to strictly follow:
• The minimum installation distance from the bottom of the Smart Curtain to the oor is 2.5m.
• Do not allow children to play with xed controls. Keep remote controls away from children.
• Frequently examine the installation for imbalance and signs of wear and damage to cables and moving parts. Do not use if repair or adjustment is necessary.
Follow these important safety installation instructions to prevent severe injury:
• Before installing the motor, remove any unnecessary cables and remove any equipment that is not needed for powered operation.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Smart Curtain Motor, controllable via the Kyla app on a mobile device or the curtain remote control, provides improved flexibility over traditional manual curtains. The curtain can
be adjusted to open or close based on different scene settings, in accordance to the comfort and environment of the user.

Various controls: Through the app, Light Touch function, external wired switch, or the Curtain Remote Control (optional accessory)
Light Touch function: After powering on, pull the curtain slightly about 15cm, the curtain will open/close automatically
Low-noise operation: High-precision drive for smooth and gentle operation
Multiple limit points: Automatically remember the window width to determine limit points such as fully open, half-open, and quarter-open, reducing conguration time.
App control: Control and manage the device via the app.
Scene control: Preset the Smart Curtain and other Kyla devices into one scene and control them simultaneously.
Automation control:
Operates the Smart Curtain automatically when the sensor (separate smart device) is triggered, e.g. draws the curtain close when someone opens the door.

INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
ATTENTION: The minimum installation distance from the bottom of the Smart Curtain to the oor is 2.5m

INSTALLING THE CURTAIN TRACK
1. Attach the buckle and clip at the end
of the belt. 2. Attach the pulley on the buckle. 3. Slide the pulley through the track. 4. Detach both the buckle and pulley
from the belt.

5. Place the gear into the end cap. 6. Insert the belt into the end cap
through the gear. 7. Place the buckle and pulley at the end
of the belt. Then slide the pulley until it
reaches the tip of the track.
8. Attach the end cap to the track.

INSTALLING THE CURTAIN TRACK
9. Measure 12cm belt between the front
end of the belt and the front end of
the case.
10. Slide the pulley out until the belt
(measured at 12cm) reaches the tip
of the track. Then hold the pulley in
position.
11. Gently remove the end cap from the
track with the belt being pulled out
simultaneously.
12. Joint two pulley with a metal nut
holder.

INSTALLING THE CURTAIN TRACK
13. Assemble the metal plate onto the
pulley. 14. Attach two buckles onto the track with
one teeth gap. 15. Attach the assembled piece in step 13
onto the buckle. 16. Slide the pulley through the track and
attach back the end cap.

17. Insert the belt through the gear box. 18. Attach the buckle at the tip of the belt. 19. Attach another buckle on the other
tip of the belt and joint the 2 ends
together.
20. Slide the pulley through the track and
attach the front end simultaneously.

INSTALLING THE CURTAIN TRACK
21. Insert 8 curtain rings into the track for
both sides. (Total 16 pieces). 22. Screw in all the remaining metal
pieces on both sides to cover the gear
boxes and lock the curtain rings.

INSTALLING THE CURTAIN MOTOR
1. Check and keep the lock lever on the
left. 2. Attach the motor to the master box. 3. Push the lock lever to the right to the
lock the attachment. CAUTION:
• Ensure the lock lever is in the correct
position as illustrated.
• The ceiling must be strong enough to
support the track, motor and curtain.

REMOVING THE CURTAIN MOTOR
1. Push the lock lever to the left to unlock
the curtain motor. 2. Detach the motor from the master
box. CAUTION:
• Ensure the lock lever is in the correct
position as illustrated.
• The ceiling must be strong enough to
support the track, motor and curtain.

PAIRING THE DEVICE WITH THE APP
1. Download and login to Kyla App from Google Play/App Store.
Requirement:
• iOS 12.0 or later
• Android 5.0 or later
2. Put the device in WiFi Pairing Mode via one of the following methods:
• Power on the device for the rst time.
• Reset the device.
4. From the app, select Add Device > Curtains and Roller Blind > Smart Curtain > Search Device
> Kyla-CurtainMotor-xxxx
NOTE: If the device is undetectable, reset the device and try again. After pairing
completes, the Smart Curtain calibrates itself to detect the length of the curtain track.
RESETTING THE DEVICE
Press and hold the Reset/Pairing button using a small pin for at least 5 seconds until the red LED
blink continuously.
