INFORMATION ABOUT CUTTING
A short wire or a blunt wire does not cut cleanly. That is why, if you notice a decrease in
cutting performance, you should check if the spool still contains enough wire. To do this,
disconnect the plug! You will find a description how to replace wire at “Replacement of
the cutting device”.
• Before starting the trimmer, make sure that the nylon head is not touching stones,
rocks, debris or any foreign objects.
• Start the product before approaching the grass to be cut.
• Cut the grass moving the product from left to right, go and back, as a scythe. Cut
slowly, hold the unit inclined at 30° forward.
• Cut long grass layer by layer, from the top to the bottom.
• Do not cut the wet grass or damp grass.
• Avoid to work excessively with the unit.
• Avoid contact with solid obstacles (rocks, walls, wooden fences, etc...). In such cases,
you will find that the nylon wire will wear much faster. Use the edge of the guard to keep
the trimmer at a correct distance.
• Avoid to pass the unit, while it is running, over the extension cable.
Risk of damaging it. Check that the extensiosn cable is always conducted behind you,
not to trip over it.
How to lenghten the nylon wire
Your grass trimmer is equipped by a Tap & Go system. This means that the nylon wire is
automatically recharged once you push the nylon head on the ground. If, at the
beginning, the nylon wire is longer than the cutting diameter of the unit, the wire cutter of
the trimmer will cut automatically the wire in excess to the right length.
Attention: remove the grass from the cutting device to avoid decrease of normal cutting
performances. Verify regularly that nylon wire is not damaged and that the prescribed
wire length of 9 cm is always respected.
CLEANING
Before starting to clean the unit, it is mandatory to disconnect the socket
from the mains power.
Assign the work not specifically mentioned in this instruction manual to
our authorized workshops. Use only genuine original parts and during assembling
beware of cutting device. Risk of injuries !
Clean and maintain your trimmer regularly. In this way, it will maintain its cutting
performances and last for long time.
After each use, clean the cutting devices and the guard, removing the grass waste or dirt.
Keep the ventilation openings clean and free of grass / grass dirt.
Clean the unit using a soft brush or a cloth.
The unit must not be cleaned with a water jet or immersed in water.
Never use cleaners, detergent or solvents. In this case, you risk to damage the product
irreparably.
Chemicals may attack the plastic parts.

12
REPLACEMENT OF THE WIRE SPOOL (FIG E&F)

dirt, dust, grass waste, etc.
6. Insert the new spool into the spool holder. Operate a slight
rotation to put in proper position.
7. Insert the wire end (4) through the opening. The wire length
should not be more than 10 cm.
8. Fix the cover with the new spool on the spool holder. Make sure
that the retainer fits exactly into the slots of the spool. Its engaging
is noticeable. If you do not succeed, turn the spool back a little
and fix the cover again.
