3.OperationProcedure
3.1Powerbuttonanditsoperation
ThePowerButtonistheonlyoperationbuttononthedevice.WhenLolaHT2isunder
"NormalMode",thepowerbuttonisusedforpoweringonandoffthedevice.

Poweron:Pressandholdthepowerbuttonover3seconds;theGNSSLEDand
theLTELEDwillbeflashing.
Poweroff:Pressandholdthepowerbuttonforover3seconds;theGNSSLED
andtheLTELEDwillbeturnedoff.
3.2HowtoresetLolaHT2
ThefollowingimageshowsLolaHT2withanonboardbackupbattery.Bydisconnectingthe
2pinconnectorandreconnectingitwillresetthedevice.
IfLolaHT2isinstalledinsidetheTotalStation,pleaseresetLolaHT2followingthesteps:
(1) OpentheRadio/Batterysidecover,removethemainbattery
(2) Waitfor5secondsandre‐insertthemainbatteryandclosetheRadio/Batterysidecover

LolaHT2modulecomeswithanembedded4GNanoSIMwithglobalcoverage.TheSIM
numberwillberequiredfortheactivationofthemoduletoconnectwiththeL2Pserver.
ToreplacetheSIM,findtheSIMcardsocketinbetweenthefoamandtheupperboard.

InsertaNano‐SIM,andpushtheNano‐SIMtotheend,anditwillbelocked.
SeetheorientationoftheNano‐SIMbeforeinsertingtheSIM.
4.InstallationoftheUtilitySoftware
LolaHT2isconfiguredwithfactorydefaultbeforeshipping.UserscanalsoconfigureLolaHT
2withLocationNowsuiteutilitysoftware(orL2Putilitysoftware).Thisutilitysoftwarecan
performtheconfigurationandfirmwareupdate.
Beforeperformingtheconfigurationprocesswiththeutilitysoftware,makesurethe
following:

SIMcardmustbeactivated
RemovetheconnectionbetweentheDC/DCadaptorboardandthemainboard

ConnecttheUSBpoweradaptortochargethebackupbatteryover30min,disconnect
thecharger.
Thisstepensuresthedevicehavingenoughpowertocompletetheconfiguration
processandrestart.
Waitfor20seconds,pressthepowerbuttonformorethan3secondstoturnoffthe
LolaHT2.Thisstepensuresthatthedeviceisgeneratingaresetwhenitisconnected
totheutilitysoftware.
Now,runtheLocationNowSuiteutilitysoftware

ConnectLolaHT2totheLaptop'sUSBportwithamicroUSBcable.
LolaHT2willconnectwiththeutilitysoftware.Ifthereisanewerfirmwareinthe
server,theutilitysoftwarewillnotifyafirmwareupgrade.

Note:
Theusercanignorethenoticeof"Pleaseresetthedevicetocontinue"ifthefactorydefault
settingistobeusedfortheapplicationwithTotalStation.
UnplugtheUSBcabletodisconnecttheLolaHT2withthelaptop,waitfor20
secondsandpressthepowerbuttontoturnofftheLOLAHT2.
ReconnecttheUSBbetweenDC/DCadaptorboardandthemainboard
