or a cup at one time.
• Unpack the coffee maker. Remove all the packaging materials.
• Wash the carafe, travel cup and lid, coffee bag basket, filter baskets and permanent
filters in warm soapy water, dry thoroughly.
• Before first use, fill the carafe water tank with water to the ‘12 cup’ level, and run this
through the coffee maker following the directions below to thoroughly clean.

cup full of water. Run this through the coffee maker following the directions below to
thoroughly clean.

9

WARNING: To avoid the risk of burning or scalding from
hot coffee or water do not use more then 410ml of water,
or exceed the ‘MAX FILL’ mark.

If using the travel cup, add the lid first, the coffee will drip
through the lid and stay hotter.

tray on top to raise it higher.

filter to the MIN line if you are making 250ml of coffee and
to the MAX line if you are making 410ml of coffee. Do not
fill beyond the MAX line as this will cause the coffee maker
to overflow.
8. Place the permanent filter into the filter basket and insert
them back into the side of the coffee maker.

illuminate. The coffee maker will automatically switch off

• For hotter coffee when using a cup, rinse your cup with warm water before brewing.
• Ground coffee does not stay fresh for as long as coffee beans. If you are using ground
coffee, watch expiry dates and buy in small amounts.
• If you are grinding coffee beans, set your grinder to a fine/medium grind, and try to
use the ground coffee within a week of grinding.
• Use approximately 1 level tablespoon (15ml) of ground coffee for each cup.
• Very finely ground coffee may cause the filter basket to overflow.
• Ensure you regularly clean the coffee maker, see ‘Care and Cleaning’.
