Envelope Trigger
Filters can be controlled via MIDI using either the CC#01 (MOD Wheel),
CC#2 (Breath) CC#74 (Cutoff) Aftertouch or Velocity.
For the Dual Filter CS synths filter controls can be independent or linked
A→B or B→A.
NOTE: 12 bit filter control is possible via Mod and Breath via the CC menu in
Reaper ( More CC 0-31 14BIT) or using our plugin.
Optional: Filter wires must be soldered
Filter Control
On the CS5, CS10 and CS15 the envelope can be independently triggered via midi
note C2. Timing and duration(Sustain) can be controlled.
On the CS5 - C2 will always trigger the envelope if used.
On the CS10 and CS15 you need to set the envelope to EXT and C2 will then trigger
the envelope.
On the CS30 - C2 triggers the Sequencer and C#2 triggers the ENV.
C2# Envelope trigger on the CS30 will only trigger env start and not sustain.
Set the Trigger level and Signal level to 12’o clock.
Optional: Trigger wire must be soldered.
Sequencer Trigger CS-30
Sequencer can be independently triggered via midi note C2.
Timing and duration can be controlled.
Set the clock to manual and you can now control the sequencer from your DAW.
Set envelopes to Seq and Osc to Seq for the sequencer to play the synth.
Optional: Seq Trigger wire must be soldered.

These synths were never meant to be played as fast as MIDI and therefore
there needs to be a very slight gap between consecutive notes (Only if it’s the same
note) for retriggering to take place. This only appears when using a DAW to play
midi and there is “no gap” between the note Off and the next note On.
When playing different notes this is not needed.
This does not affect live playing at all as no human can switch notes that fast!
This gap varies slightly between synths and might not be an issue at all on the CS5,
CS10, CS15, CS30/L and CS15D, in our tests this varied between Reaper and Ableton.
The CS20M and 40M do need a tiny gap between consecutive notes (if it is the same
note) due to slightly different circuitry.
This applies to both notes and the envelope trigger, CS30 sequencer has no issue
with consecutive notes with no gap. Speed is not an issue if there is this tiny gap
between a note off and a note on!
We have found that using the “note length” plugin in Ableton and setting it to 98%
will take care of this.
GATE TIME

CS Series MIDI Kit User Manual
The settings app allows you to change and save settings on your synth.
Select MIDI interface, hit the Fetch Button to get the settings from your synth.
Change settings , then hit Send and your settings have now been transferred to
your synth ( if settings have been changed and not transferred the Send LED will
blink until a send has been initiated.
When you hit “Fetch” the app will autodetect which synth is connected and display
the appropriate interface.

This plugin is made to work in conjunction with the CS series MIDI Kit and will
work for all synths in that collection. It gives you two temposynced LFO/envelopes
for the CS series of synths.
You can draw in your own LFO/Envelope shapes for each filter (where applicable)
or switch over to the stepper and draw in your own steps (up to 64 steps).
When using the stepper you have the option of using the SMOOTHING parameter
to ease up on the stepped transitions.
You can set the modulator to temposync, freerunning and when in either mode
you can select to RUN, RETRIGGER or ONE SHOT.
Since the CS MIDI KIT gives you the option of selecting a controller for each filter
you can set any of these as the destination for each modulator.
In addition you can set the destination to HI-RES and use our 12bit/4096 values CC
for ultra smooth modulations.
Feature List:
• 2 Temposynced LFO/Envelope drawable shapes
• 2 Temposynced 64 step drawable shapes
• Run and Retrigger Modes
• Nudge forwards/backwards
• Randomize shape
• Invert and flip shape - invert is useful when switching to Hi-Pass.
• Smoothing option for the stepper
• A selection of preset shapes
• A large selection of presets
