Dear user, please consider the following data in this installation procedure:
In this configuration, the LP-1520ai will be a client of the network you wish to repeat and an additional
Access point of the selected wireless network.
Name of the Network whose signal you wish to repeat.
Channel of the Network whose signal you wish to repeat.
Key and Cyphering mode of the Network whose signal you wish to repeat.
Cyphering mode shall be: WEP, WPA(TKIP) o WPA2(AES).
Please take in mind if you have MAC or IP access control in the router or AP you wish to repeat the
signal from.

Please go to your network card’s properties and select:
Internet Protocol, select: Properties, as shown in gure 1.
Once nished, select: Ok and then: Close.
Proceed to connect to the LP-1520ai.
Open your preferred browser and input the default address 192.168.1.254, as shown in gure 3.
Once the properties window pops-up, as shown in gure 2,
please select: Use the following IP address and input an IP
address inside the default IP range of the LP-1520ai. In this
example we have selected the IP address: 192.168.1.201.
The LP-1520ai has a default address of 192.168.1.254, input
in: Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 , in: Default Gateway the
destination router address, in the DNS please input your ISP’s
DNS address or the destination router address that provides
the Internet service, this is permits the corresponding queries
reach the destination network’s router.

Select option: TCP/IP Settings, LAN Interface and in the DHCP eld select: Disabled. Then select: Apply changes, as
shown in gure 4. (Remember to verify that the LP-1520ai’s IP address is not being used in the network to which you will
connect to, we recommend to use an IP address inside the destination network so it can be managed).
In gure 5, select: Operation Mode, select also: Bridge, then select: Apply Changes, wait for the equipment to reboot.

As shown in gure 6, select: Wireless, Basic Settings, in: Mode select: AP. The SSID will be different to the one of the
network you will connect to because this will be a new Access point. In: Channel Number, select the same channel of the
network you will repeat the signal from, select option: Enable Universal Repeater Mode, input in: SSID of external
Interface the name of the SSID of the network you will repeat the signal from and then select: Apply Changes, once done,
the equipment will reboot.
You will now congure the wireless network security in case the destination router has it enabled. Always remember then
in this conguration, the LP-1520ai behaves as a client of the destination router. Please congure its security as if it were
another client of this network. Please take in mind that the security mode WPA2 is not supported in Client Mode. This same
encryption will be used by the clients that connect to this new Access point.
Select: Wireless, Security, in mode: Encryption, use the corresponding one and input the key.
Then select: Apply changes, as shown in gure 7.

Select: OK as shown in gure 8.
The equipment will reboot now.
Once the conguration has been done, the LP-1520ai will automatically connect even though you disconnect it and connect
it again.
Highly Recommended:
As shown in gure 9, proceed to change the Administration Password of your equipment. In order to do this action, select:
Management, then: Password. Input the user name: admin, the input the new password in: New Password and in:
Conrmed Password, select then: Apply changes. In order to be able to access the equipment again, you will have to
input the new data when asked by the equipment.
