2. General Description
2.1. Overview
The ML630Q791SDK Board is equipped with the sensor hub microcontroller “ML630Q791, various sensors include
accelerometer, Gyroscope and so on.
The ML630Q791is a high-performance 32-bit low power microcontroller optimized for sensor hub, that integrates
ARM Cortex™-M0 core, 128 KByte flash memory, 16 KByte RAM, I2C interfaces for various sensors and host
interfaces with 512 Byte logging Register in small footprint package. The ML630Q791is an ideal sensor hub
microcontroller for smart phone to separate various sensors off from its application processor and control them
effectively for reducing total system power consumption.

Power supply switch
Power supply switch of SDK board.
ON: Apower supply is supplied to the SDK board.
OFF: A power supply is not supplied to the SDK board.

Reset switch for ML630Q791.
14 Firmware update jumper
Setting to update the firmware of the SDK board.
When the firmware of the SDK board is updated, the jumper cap is
placed on pins. Usually the jumper cap is not placed on pins.
15 HOST IF connector
When you use the other host, connect the other host to the HOST IF
connector.
16 Debug connector
Connect a debugger supporting the Cortex™-M0. (*1)

17 USB connector
USB mini Type B connector.
When the PC is used as the host, connect the PC
to the USB
connector. The power supplyof the SDK board is supplied from the
USB connector.

3.1.1. Firmware update jumper
The BRMP pin is set by the Firmware update switch. Setting the BRMP pin to “H”,the hardware remap
function becomes available.

3.2. The switching of ML630Q791 SDK Board
3.2.1. Reset switch
The RESET_N pin of ML630Q791 connects to the Reset switch and nSRST pin of the Debug connector.
Pressing this switch, ML630Q791 is reset and the debugger detects that the reset is asserted.
3.2.2. Power supply switch
The Power supply switch controls the power supply supplied to the CPU board.
