DESCRIPTION
TheHAB1101mains‐poweredhydraulicunitiscompactandlightweightandisthereforesuitableforuseas
aportablehydraulicpowerdistributioncentre.Ithasbeendesignedforusewithanytoolrequiringan
operatingpressureofupto700bar(10.000psi).Theunitissuppliedwithaquickconnector,andametal
carryingandstoragebox.
2. PREPARATIONFORSTART‐UP
1. Unscrewthecarryingplugandscrew‐ontheoperatingplug.
2. Checkthattheoilleveliscorrect.
3. PlacetheReleaseValveleverinthe"pressure"position.

3. STARTUP
BeforeusingtheMains‐OperatedHydraulicUnit,ensurethatyouhavereadboththegeneralsafety
instructionsandtheoperatinginstructions.
1. PlacetheReleaseValveleverinthe"pressure"position.
2. Pressthepushbutton.
3. Performtheworkspecifictotheheadorcylinderbeingused.Maximumworkingpressure700bar.
4. Todepressurise,placetheReleasevalveleverinthe"release"positionandthepressureisreleased
automatically.
5. Theoperationofthehydraulicunitcanbestoppedatanytimebyreleasingthepushbutton.The
pressureismaintaineduntiltheReleasevalveleverismovedtothe"release"position.
4. BATTERYREMOVALANDINSTALLATION
BATTERYREMOVAL
Holdthegripfirmlyandpressthebatteryreleasebuttontoremoveit,asshowninthefollowingfigure.
CAUTION:Nevershortcircuitthebattery.

BATTERYINSTALLATION
Insertthebatteryensuringthatthepolesarecorrect(seepreviousfigures).
BATTERYCHARGING
Beforeusingthetools,chargethebatteryasfollows:
‐PlugthechargercableintoanACsocket.Oncethechargerplughasbeenconnectedtothemains,the
redpilotlightwilllightcontinuously.
‐Insertthebatteryinthecharger.Firmlyinsertthebattery,inthedirectionindicatedinthefollowing
figure,untilitcomesintocontactwiththechargercompartmentbottom.
CAUTION:Ifthebatteryisinsertedthewrongwayround,apartfromnotchargingthiscouldalso
damagethecharger,suchasthedeformationofthechargingterminal.
‐Charging.Whenthebatteryisinsertedintothecharger,itwillstarttochargeandtheredpilotlightwill
beoncontinuously.Oncethebatteryiscompletelycharged,thegreenpilotlightwillflash(atone
secondintervals).Seethefollowingtable.
CAUTION:Iftheredpilotlampflickers,unplugtheplugfromthepoweroutletandcheckifthe
batteryisinsertedcorrectly.
FASTCHARGERINDICATIONS
REDPowerOn. ThechargerisOn.
Battery‐ Faulty. Malfunctionof thebattery.
YELLOW
Battery‐ Faulty. Incorrect batterymodel.
BatteryinHighTemperature.The batterytemperatureishighLetcooldownit.
BatteryinLowTemperature. Chargethebatteryabove0°C.
GREEN
FastCharging. Batteryisbeingchargedproperly.
FullyCharged. Batterycharging complete.Removethe batteryfrom
thechargerandunplugthechargerfromthemains.
CAUTION
Ifanyofthefollowingoccurs,unplugthechargerfromthepowersupplyoutletandreplacethebattery
pack:
‐Noneoftheindicatorslightsonanyhow.
‐Theredindicatorlightflickersconstantly.
‐Onlytheredindicatorlightisonevenifthebatterypackisinstalled.
CAUTION
Donotpulltheplugoutofthereceptaclebypullingonthecord.Makesuretograsptheplugwhen
removingfromreceptacletoavoiddamagingcord.

Howtomakethebatteriesperformlonger
‐Rechargethebatteriesbeforetheybecomecompletelyexhausted.Whenyoufeelthatthepowerof
thetoolbecomesweaker,stopusingthetoolandrechargeitsbattery.Ifyoucontinuetousethetool
andexhausttheelectriccurrent,thebatterymaybedamagedanditslifewillbecomeshorter.
‐Avoidrechargingathightemperatures.Arechargeablebatterywillbehotimmediatelyafteruse.If
suchabatteryisrechargedimmediatelyafteruse,itsinternalchemicalsubstancewilldeteriorate,and
thebatterylifewillbeshortened.Leavethebatteryandrechargeitafterithascooledforawhile.
CAUTION
‐Whenthebatterychargerhasbeencontinuouslyused,thebatterychargerwillbeheated,thus
constitutingthecauseofthefailures.Oncethecharginghasbeencompleted,give15minutesrestuntil
thenextcharging.
‐Ifthebatteryisrechargedwhenitiswarmduetobatteryuseorexposuretosunlight,thepilotlamp
maylightingreen.Thebatterywillnotberecharged.Insuchacase,letthebatterycoolbefore
charging.
‐Whenthepilotlampflickersrapidlyinred(at0.2–secondintervals),checkforandtakeoutanyforeign
objectsinthecharger’sbatteryinstallationhole.Iftherearenoforeignobjects,itisprobablethatthe
batteryorchargerismalfunctioning.TakeittoyourauthorizedServiceCenter.
5. CAREANDMAINTENANCE
Beforeworkingontheunit,disconnecttheplugfromthemains.
CLEANING
Apropercleaningaftereachuse,particularlyofthemovingparts,willhelpextendingthelifeofthetool.
Dust,sand,environmentalconditions,inparticularthosethataresubjectedtohighsalinity,anddirtin
general,areaseriousdangertoallhydraulictools.
Thepistonsmustbecleanbecausetheimpuritiescouldscratchthecylinderwallanddamagetheseals.To
cleanthepistoncorrectly,itisadvisabletoadvancethepistonandcleanitwithaqualitysolvent,non‐
corrosive.
ON/OFFSWITCH
Checkthattheswitchisautomaticallyreleasedwhenyoustoppressingit.Ifananomalyisdetected,
replacetheswitchimmediately.
BRUSHES
Regularlycheckthebrushesforwearandensurethattheyremaininperfectcontactwiththearmature.
Replacethebrusheswhentheirlengthhasbeenreducedby1/3oftheoriginallength.
