When using equipment, the following safety precautions
must be followed to avoid injuries and damage:
IMPORTANT
■ Read all operating instructions carefully and comply with
them. It is important to understand these instructions and to
acquaint yourself with the machine, its correct usage and
all safety requirements.
■ Keep this manual in a safe place so that the information is
available to the operator at all times.
■ If you give the equipment to any other person, give them
these operating instructions as well.
■ We accept no liability for damage or accidents which result
from non-compliance with these instructions.
The device must not be used by people (including children)
with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who
lack the necessary experience and/or knowledge - other than
they are supervised by a person responsible for safety or are
being instructed to operate the appliance by such a person.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
■ Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the controls
and the correct use of the lawn mower.
■ Never allow children or people unfamiliar with these
instructions to use the mower. Local regulations may
restrict the age of the operator.
■ When not in use, store the mower out of reach of children
and remove the battery pack and isolator key.

■ Never operate the machine while people, especially
children, or pets are nearby.
■ Use extreme care when approaching blind corners,
doorways, shrubs, trees, or other objects that may obscure
your view of a child or animal that may run into the path of
the mower.
■ Keep in mind that the operator or user is responsible for
accidents or hazards occurring to other people or their
property.
■ While operating the mower always wear substantial
footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the mower
when barefoot or wearing open toed sandals. Avoid
wearing clothing that is loose tting or that has hanging
cords or ties.
■ Thoroughly inspect the area where the mower is to be
used. Remove all stones, sticks, and other objects that could
be tripped over or thrown by the blade. Thrown objects can
cause serious personal injury.
■ Before using, always visually inspect to see that the
blade, blade bolt and the blade assembly are not worn or
damaged. Replace worn or damaged components in sets
to preserve balance. Replace damaged or unreadable
labels.
■ Operate the mower only in daylight or in good articial light.
■ Do not use the lawn mower in damp or wet conditions or
operate in the rain.
■ Working on sloping areas can be dangerous. Do not mow
on excessively steep slopes. Always be sure of your footing
on slopes or wet grass.
■ Walk, never run.

■ Mow across the face of slopes, never up and down.
■ Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on
slopes.
■ Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling the mower
towards you.
■ Stay Alert: Do not operate the mower when you are tired.
Pay attention to what you are doing.
■ Do not operate the mower while under the inuence of
alcohol or drugs.
■ Stop the blade(s) if the machine has to be tilted for
transportation when crossing surfaces other than grass,
and when transporting the machine to and from areas to be
mowed.
■ Never operate the mower with defective guards or shields,
or without safety devices, for example deectors and/or
grass collector, in place.
■ Switch on the motor carefully according to instructions and
with feet well away from the blade(s).
■ Do not tilt the machine when starting or switching the
motor on, except if the machine must be tilted for starting
in long grass. In this case, do not tilt it more than absolutely
necessary and tilt only the part which is furthest away
from the operator. Always ensure that both hands are in
the operating position on the handle before returning the
machine to the ground.
■ Do not start the mower when standing in front of the
discharge opening.
■ Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts. Keep
clear of the discharge opening at all times.
■ Never pick up or carry the machine while the motor is
running.

■ Do not carry the machine with your nger on the switch.
■ Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all
times.
■ Do not use a machine if the switch does not turn it on and
off. Any machine that cannot be controlled with the switch
is dangerous and must be repaired.
■ In case any of the following situations occur, stop the
mower and remove the battery pack and isolator key. Make
sure that all moving parts have come to a complete stop:
− Whenever you leave the mower,
− Before clearing blockages or unclogging discharge chute,
− Before checking, cleaning or working on the mower,
− After striking a foreign object. Inspect the mower for
damage and make repairs before restarting and operating
the mower.
■ If the mower starts to vibrate abnormally (check
immediately)
− Inspect for damage,
− Replace or repair any damaged parts,
− Check for and tighten any loose parts.
■ In order to avoid contact with the blade or injury caused
by a thrown object, ensure you maintain a safe operating
distance, and keep children and bystanders at least 15m
away from the mower while it is in operation. Stop the
motor immediately if someone enters the mowing area.
■ Always wear proper eye protection in order to protect your
eyes while operating or performing any adjustment or
repair. Thrown objects that ricochet can cause serious eye
injury.
■ Do not hold on to the mower if you are falling. Release the

handle immediately.
■ Do not use the mower for any job except that for which it is
intended. Do not force the mower.
■ Do not attempt to adjust the wheels or the cutting height
while the motor is running.
■ Avoid dangerous environments. Do not operate the mower
in the rain or in enclosed or poorly-ventilated environments,
or if there are ammable or explosive uids, vapours or
gases nearby.
■ Stop the blade when crossing gravel driveways, walkways,
or roads.
■ Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure that the
mower is in a safe condition for use.
■ Check the grass collector frequently for wear or
deterioration.
■ Be careful during adjustment of the mower to prevent
entrapment of the ngers between moving blades and xed
parts of the machine.
■ Always allow the mower to cool down before storing.
■ Stop the mower, remove the safety key and battery, and
wait until the blade comes to a complete stop before
removing the collection bag or carrying out maintenance.
The cutting blade will continue to rotate for a few seconds
after the motor is shut off. Do not place any part of your
body in the blade area until you are sure that the blade has
stopped rotating.
■ Never operate mower without correct safety devices in
place and in working order. Do not operate the mower with
damaged safety devices. Doing so can result in injury.
■ Ensure that the isolator key is not installed when the

mower is not in use. This prevents accidental starting of the
machine.
■ Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only
genuine replacement parts and accessories.
■ Always be alert when using the machine, so that you can
recognise and handle risks early. Fast intervention can
prevent serious injury and damage to property.
■ Switch off and remove the battery and isolator key if there
is any malfunction. If necessary have the machine checked
by a qualied specialist and repaired before you operate it
again.
■ WARNING! Even if you are operating the machine in
accordance with all safety requirements, potential risks of
injury and damage remain. The following dangers can arise
in connection with the structure and design of this machine:
- Health defects resulting from vibration emission if the
machine is being used over long periods of time or not
adequately managed and properly maintained.
- Injuries and damage to property due to broken application
tools or sudden impact of hidden objects during use.
■ WARNING! This machine produces an electromagnetic
eld during operation! This eld may under some
circumstances interfere with active or passive medical
implants! To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we
recommend persons with medical implants to consult their
doctor and medical implant manufacturer before operating
this product!
■ Store the mower, the charger and the battery at a
temperature between 0°C and 25°C.

Battery Safety Information
■ Recharge only with the charger specied by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of
battery pack may create a risk of re when used with
another battery pack. Incorrect use may result in electric
shock, overheating or leakage of corrosive liquid from the
battery.
■ Do not place appliances or their batteries near re or heat
sources. Continuous intense sunlight, re or other heat
sources may cause an increased danger of explosion.
■ Do not crush, drop or damage the battery pack. Do not
use a battery pack or charger that has been dropped or
received a sharp blow. A damaged battery is subject to
explosion. Properly dispose of a dropped or damaged
battery immediately.
■ Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of
ignition, such as a pilot light.
■ To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use
any cordless product in the presence of an open ame.
An exploded battery can propel debris and chemicals. If
exposed, ush with water immediately.
■ Do not charge battery in a damp or wet location. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock.
■ For best results, your battery tool should be charged in a
location where the temperature is more than 4°C but less
than 40°C.
■ Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery
leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact with your
skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If liquid gets
into your eyes, ush them with clean water for at least 10

minutes, then seek immediate medical attention.
■ When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects like: paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause sparks, burns, or a
re.
■ Do not open up the battery and avoid mechanical damage
to the battery. Risk of short circuit and fumes may be
emitted. Ensure fresh air and seek medical assistance in
the event of discomfort.
■ Always remove battery pack before storing the device.
When battery becomes fully charged, unplug the charger
from the power supply and remove the battery pack from
the charger.
■ Keep battery pack dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
Always use a dry cloth when cleaning. Never use brake
uids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any solvents
to clean battery pack.
Charger Safety Information
■ Ensure the battery pack is charged indoors only, in a dry,
cool and well-ventilated environment.
■ Do not use non-rechargeable batteries!
■ Do not operate the charger with a damaged cord or plug,
which could cause shorting and electric shock. If damaged,
immediately discontinue use. Replace the charger with the
identical unit as listed in the Product Specications in this
manual. If the power cord for this equipment is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, a customer service

agent of the same or a fully qualied person in order to
prevent hazards.
■ The plug of the charger must match the outlet. Never
modify the plug in any way. Unmodied plugs and matching
outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
■ Allow a hot battery to cool before charging.
■ Before each use, check the charger, cable and plug. Do
not use a defective charger and do not disassemble the
charger. Incorrect reassembly may result in the risk of re,
electric shock or electrocution.
■ Protect the charger against moisture and wet conditions.
There is a danger of electric shock.
■ Operate the charger only with the appropriate original
batteries. Charging other batteries may result in injuries
and risk of re.
■ Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving
parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of
electric shock.
■ Do not use a charger that has been dropped or received a
sharp blow.
■ The voltage indicated on the charger rating plate must
correspond to the voltage of the power source.
■ Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
Intended Use
This lawnmower is designed for domestic use only:
■ This cordless lawnmower is intended for mowing lawns in
domestic and hobby gardens.
■ This product is not to be used in wet weather conditions
and may not be used to mow wet or unusually high grass.

■ This product is intended for private domestic use only,
not for any commercial trade use. It must not be used for
any purposes other than those described. Any use of the
machine that deviates from its intended use will invalidate
the warranty.

ASSEMBLY
Assembly Preparation
■ Carefully remove all contents from the product packaging.
■ Ensure you have all the accessories and tool(s) needed for assembly and operation. This also
includes suitable personal protective equipment.
Assembling the Lower Handle (See Fig. 1)
■ Remove the pre-installed wing knobs from the mower housing.
■ Insert the lower handle into the bolt ( 1) on the lawnmower housing as shown. Make sure
the markings on both sides are facing upwards. Adjust the lower handles to the desired
operating position. There are three possible positions (Fig .1).
■ Place the provided washer ( 2) over the bolt, followed by the wing knob. Rotate the wing knobs
clockwise to tighten (Fig. 1).
Assembling the Upper Handle (See Fig. 2)
■ Align the upper handle and lower handle and secure with the wing knobs, washers and bolts.
Rotate the wing knobs clockwise to tighten (Fig. 2).
■ There are two possible height positions. Choose the one most suitable to the operator’s height.
■ Secure the control cable against the handle frame with the supplied cable clips.
If any parts are damaged or missing do not operate this product until the parts are replaced.
Failure to pay attention to this warning could result in serious personal injury.
Do not connect the battery and/or the isolator key before the product is completely assembled.
Failure to comply could result in accidental starting and possible serious personal injury.
Do not attempt to modify this product or create accessories not recommended for use with this
product. Any such alteration or modication is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition
leading to possible serious personal injury.
Never operate the mower without the proper safety devices in place and in working order. Never
operate the mower with damaged safety devices. Failure to pay attention to this warning can result
in serious personal injury. Make sure all packing is removed from product parts before starting
assembly.

ASSEMBLY
Assembling the Grass Collection Bag (See Figs. 3-4)
■ Check the collection bag before assembling to make sure there is no damage.
■ Slide the 2 ends of the grass collection bag frame into the 2 channels found on the grass
collection bag cover until they are completely seated.
■ Make certain the frame ends are seated in channels and insert the provided at washers onto
the slots. Secure them with supplied screws (Fig. 3).
■ Ensure the side clamping sleeves are properly xed onto the metal support frame. Fully insert
the rods of the metal frame into the slots on either side of the plastic base of the grass collection
bag. Secure the metal support rods into the xing position on either side of the grass collection
base (Fig. 4).
Attaching/Removing the Grass Collection Bag (See Fig. 5)
NOTE: When using the grass collection bag, do not install the mulching plug. The mulching plug
MUST be removed prior to installing the collection bag. The mulching plug is supplied tted in the
collection chute of the mower.
NOTE: The deector guard is spring operated. Ensure you have a rm grip when opening and
closing to avoid personal injury.
■ Lift the deector guard all the way up with one hand.
■ Attach the grass collection bag onto the mounting brackets provided at the back of the
lawnmower. Align the bottom of the grass collection bag rst ensuring the collection tongue is
located fully within the discharge chute of the lawnmower (Fig. 5).
■ Lower the deector guard onto the grass collection bag - it will keep it in place.
■ To remove the grass collection bag, lift the deector guard and unhook the grass collection bag
from the mounting brackets. Carefully release the deector guard back down.
NOTE: Under normal usage, bag material is subject to wear. To reduce the risk of injury, frequently
inspect the bag assembly and replace if there are any signs of wear or deterioration.
Grass Collection Full Indicator (See Figs. 6-7)
The grass collection full indicator is a small ap located on the side of the grass collection box.
■ If the grass collection box is empty or partially full, the grass full indicator ap will remain open
(Fig. 6).
■ When this ap remains closed it means that the grass collection bag is full and needs to be
emptied (Fig. 7).
Attaching/Removing the Mulching Plug (See Figs. 8-9)
Do not at any time make any adjustment to the lawnmower without rst stopping the motor and
removing the isolator key and battery.

NOTE: The mulching plug MUST be removed if collection bag is used during mowing operation.
This mulching plug prevents grass from being collected by blocking the collection chute. This allows
the grass clippings to be deposited back on the lawn during cutting. This nely cut grass acts as a
nutrient for the lawn.
To install the mulching plug:
■ Lift the deector guard and detach the grass collection bag.
■ Lift and hold the deector guard up with one hand.
■ With other hand grasp the mulching plug by its upright handle and insert the plug into the rear
discharge chute. Ensure that the locking latch snaps into place (Fig. 8 & 9).
■ Release the deector guard back into position during operation.
To remove the mulching plug:
■ Lift and hold the deector guard up with one hand.
■ With other hand squeeze the mulching plug’s upright handle to release the locking latch. Pull
the mulching plug up and out of the discharge chute.
Installing and Removing the Battery Pack (See Figs. 10-11)
To install the battery pack:
■ Make sure the battery is fully charged.
■ Lift the battery compartment cover on the lawnmower deck.
■ Align the support rails located within the battery compartment with the guides in the battery
pack, and then insert the battery pack into the compartment (Fig. 10).
■ Push the battery pack until you hear a “click”.
■ Insert the isolator key into the keyholes located within the battery compartment.
■ Close the battery compartment cover.
NOTE: Make sure that battery pack rmly snaps into place and is secured to the mower before
starting operation.
To remove the battery pack:
■ Stop the machine. Lift the battery compartment cover and remove the isolator key.
■ Press the release button on the battery pack, grasp the battery pack rmly and pull out of the
battery compartment (Fig. 11).
■ Close the battery compartment cover.
If any parts are broken or missing, do not attempt to attach the battery pack to the mower or
operate the mower until the broken or missing parts are replaced. Failure to do so could result in
serious injury. Do not connect the battery and/or the isolator key before the product is completely
assembled. Ensure the isolator key is not tted before you install the battery.

Before using the mower for the rst time, adjust the cutting position to the height best suited for
your lawn.
The mower can be set to 6 cutting heights between 22mm and 72mm. Choose the appropriate
cutting height according to the types and conditions of the grass. For the rst cut each season, a
higher cutting setting should be selected.
OPERATION
Setting the Cutting Height (See Fig. 12)
Switch off the equipment, remove the isolator key and wait for the blade to come to a complete
stop before adjusting the cutting height. A rotating blade can cause injury. Keep your feet away
from the deck when adjusting its height.
WARNING
Do not allow familiarity with this type of product to make you careless. Always pay attention when
operating this product, not doing so can result in serious injury.
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when operating this product.
Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes, resulting in possible serious
injury.
Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this product.
The use of attachments or accessories not recommended can result in serious personal injury.
