Do not at any time make any adjustment to the lawnmower without rst stopping the motor and
removing the isolator key and battery.
WARNING
■ To tighten the lever, rotate clockwise and lock into position by folding inwards towards the upper
handle. Do not use excessive force; this may damage the levers (Fig. 4).
■ Ensure the cable is secured against the handle frame with the supplied cable fasten strap.
Assembling the Grass Collection Bag (See Figs. 5-6)
Your mower comes with a tool free grass collection bag.
■ Check the collection bag before assembling to make sure there is no damage.
■ Pull the grass collection bag over the steel frame, ensuring the grass collection window is
located on the top (Fig. 5).
■ Feed the U-shaped handle through the opening in the collection bag, and ensure the bottom
support legs are located on the inside of the collection bag.
■ Pry open the soft plastic clamping sleeves with your ngers and insert the steel frame into the
support sleeves (Fig. 6).
Attaching/Removing the Grass Collection Bag (See Figs. 7-8)
NOTE: When using the grass collection bag, do not install the mulching plug. The mulching plug
MUST be removed prior to installing the collection bag.
NOTE: The deector guard is spring operated. Ensure you have a rm grip when opening and
closing to avoid personal injury.
■ Lift the deector guard all the way up with one hand. To remove the pre-installed mulching plug,
squeeze the plug upright handle to release the locking latch. Pull the mulching plug up and out
of the discharge chute (Fig. 7).
■ Ensure the mulching plug is removed from the lawnmower before tting the grass collection
bag.
■ Lift the grass collection bag by its handle, hook the support brackets of the collection bag onto
the support rails located on the rear discharge chute (Fig. 8).
■ Lower the deector guard onto the grass collection bag.
■ Make sure both support brackets are rmly seated on the support rails and the deector guard
rests rmly against the top of the collection bag.
■ To remove the grass collection bag, lift the deector guard and unhook the grass collection bag
from the support rails. Carefully release the deector guard back down.
NOTE: Under normal usage, bag material is subject to wear. To reduce the risk of injury, frequently
inspect the bag assembly and replace if there are any signs of wear or deterioration.
