START UP
I SERT BATTERIES
The PWL III is powered by one 1.5V AA (LR6) battery
Open the battery holder by rotating the cap over a quarter turn left. You can
use a small coin.
Insert the battery. Place the ''-'' side of the battery at the bottom.
Fit the cap in place, and close by pushing and rotating it a quarter turn right.
ASSEMBLE THE PWL III TO THE CO ECTOR OF THE MICROPHO E
SUSPE SIO OR CABLE
Unscrew completely the nut on the XLR connector of the PWL III, then insert it
to the male XLR connector. Lock it by complete screwing.

Insert the cable and lock it on the PWL III
Install the audio transmitter. (no transmitter holder is provided).
Connect the cable to the transmitter.
Adjust the transmitter sensibility.
Verify that all elements are firmly assembled.
SWITCHI G O /OFF
There is no on/off switch on the PWL III.
The audio transmitter automatically powers on and off PWL III.
After switching on the transmitter, PWLIII enters a fast initialisation mode by
flashing red then blue LED. Then the 48V ''BLUE'' LED should blink slowly as
the microphone is powered.
LED DISPLAY
OFF - the transmitter is off.
BLUE slow blinking (3sec.)- the microphone is powered with 8V.
RED slow blinking (3sec.)- the battery is low, 1 hour left .
RED fast blinking (1 sec.)- the battery is very low, 15 mn left.
Times given may vary upon type of battery and microphones used.
RED full – The battery is too low to power the microphone. PWLIII stops the
power conversion to preserve Nimh battery from over-discharge.

TROUBLESHOOTING
•PWL III doesn't power on
Verify the battery, verify the connectors, verify the microphone
and the transmitter.
•It makes noise when used on a boom
Verify all mountings.
•The battery doesn't last as expected
The cap must be clean and locked on the battery holder.
Test battery charge. Verify mic specs.
Use only high power AA. (over 2000mAh capacity )
imh batteries loose power over time, even without use.
Recharge them just before use.
At low temperature, alkalines and rechargeable batteries
may also loose a lot of their nominal capacity.
If temperature go lower than 10°C, use lithium batteries.
•Sound is distorded
Adjust correctly the input level on the transmitter.
PWL III can accept levels up to 1Vrms (+2 dbU).
