1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Please be extra careful not to shake the product and avoid places where frequent vibrations occur.
- Do not install the product in an environment where the humidity is high.
- Never keep the product to direct strong light or sunlight.
- Do not spill liquid of any kind on the product.
Alcohol or beverage can contain minerals that corrode the electronic components.
- Do not install the product in extreme temperature conditions.
Use the camera under conditions where temperatures are betweeen -10 °C and +50 °C. Be especially careful
to provide ventilation when operating under high temperatures.
- Minimum illumination cannot be archieved during low light (as shown below), please install appropriate light
xtures.

2. INTRODUCTION
The 36x Auto-Focus ICR camera with WDR function, uses a high sensitive color 1/4” Sony interline reaching 550
TVL.
The camera is built-in with 36x Optical zoom lens spells added user convenience since there is no need for
eparate adjustment of the focal distance.
Current applications include highway trafc control, plus security surveillance in such locations as elevators and
parking lots.
The advanced DSP technology allows intelligent control for clearer, detailed pictures. Additionally, the user can
perform remote Zoom/Focus/Iris/White balance operations via either RS-422/RS-485.
In combination with a highly sensitive 1/4” CCD sensor, these features make the auto-focus camera is
particularly suitable for surveillance.

3. FEATURES
High resolution
CCD Sensor provides high resolution reaching 550 TVL with advanced and clear picture quality.
Excellent sensitivity
High sensitivity, low smear, high anti-blooming and high S/N ratio.
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
High-quality WDR functions, perfectly shows the image details between dark and light.
Newly added environment dynamic detection switch, enhancing WDR image efciency.
Digital Noise Reduction (DNR)
2D/ 3D DNR, realize the clear image at low light environment, clear picture quality saving hard disk storage size
of DVR when using MPEG/MPEG4/H.264 compression after noise reduction.
Day & Night
Mechanic IR cut-lter driving unit with AE provides change from color to B&W mode automatically for day and
night 24-hour surveillance.
Selectable between manual Day & Night control or from external input signal Day & Night control.
Digital Slow Shutter (DSS)
Improve the low light performance.
When in low light, reducing the image frame refresh rate and increase the sensitivity of the camera.
Privacy mask
Privacy image masking with free position, support up to 15 areas of privacy masking zone.
Privacy area enlarges with digital zoom-in function.
Motion detection
Camera-site takes the initiative in providing motion detection alert for a more comprehensive monitoring and
careful editing of motion detection area.
When there are changes within the detection area, the camera immediately issues a warning.
Extra connection
Control the camera easy by keyboard via RS-485.
Connect the extra alarm out to combine with the Motion Detection function.
OSD
OSD (On Screen Display) Setup Menu.
Camera title setup of up to 16 alphanumeric letters.
Image Control
Performance: 36x Optical zoom lens and 16x digital zoom (total 576x zoom), freeze image, positive/negative
image, mirror function (left/right).
Application
All function can be operated from OSD: AES (Automatic Electronic Shutter), AI (Auto Iris), GC (Gain Control),
WB (White Balance), BLC (Back Light Compensation) and provides the ickerless mode, and line-lock function.

Day & Night Output
This function will turn on the external IR LED lamp according to the position of IR cut lter.

When Day & Night mode is set to “External” on the OSD menu of the camera, this function will be
switched to Day mode or Night mode according to the Day & Night signal from the external light sensor
or the IR Led Lamp.

Connect the video-out port on the rear panel of the camera to a monitor.
6. INSTALLATION
6.1 Connect to monitor
Since the power specication supports both AC and DC, you may connect an AC 24V, 500 mA adaptor or a DC
12V, 500mA adaptor.

Installation with joystick
- RS-485 interface is used to communicate with the keyboard.
Connect R+ of the camera to T+ of the keyboard. Connect R- of the camera to T- of the keyboard.
- User could adjust camera ID via rear panel keys or via remote commands.
Protocol, speed and parity should only be adjusted via rear panel keys.

The speed of camera should be the same as the speed of the keyboard.
Adjusted function is only effective, after exiting the OSD Setup menu.
Note: Maximum cable distance for RS-485 communication over 24-gauge wire is 4,000 feet (1 219 m).
Recommend using shielded twisted pair cable that meets the basic requirements for EIA RS-485
applications.

(1) Mount the camera on the mounting bracket by using the hole on the top or bottom of the camera or by using
the encloses 8 mm mounting block, furnished by 2 screws.
(2) Connect the video output to the monitor or other video device via a 75 Ohms type coaxial cable.
(3) Connect the power source, using the DC Jack (+12V DC in the jack center).
(4) Wait a while for the camera to power on and the zoom lens will resume to the previous power on position
automatically.
(5) Once the picture appears on the monitor, press the zoom tele, zoom wide, focus near, focus far
and setup menu key to obtain the best picture quality.

8.1 Digital zoom operation
The built-in 36x optical zoom lens is highly reliable and offfers auto focus and auto iris functions.
Users can monitor a scene from any desired angle of view, use (T)/ (W) button to control the optical zoom
1x ~ 36x and digital zoom 1x ~ 16x.

8.2.2 Main Menu Setup
- In order to display the setup menu on the screen, set the menu command or press the button panel.
- Use (T)/ (W) control buttons to select each item.
- Use (-)/ (+) control buttons to change the data.
- Use Menu Control button to Enter/Exit the menu display.

FOCUS MODE SET:
This function is for focus mode setting.
Set the mode to Auto, Manual, or Push Auto.
Note:
Auto: Select auto mode to enable automatic adjustment of the focus position.
Push Auto: Select push auto to adjust focus position TELE or WIDE, the preset value
becomes that for AF mode and returns to Manual Focus mode.
FOCUS DISTANCE SET:
This function is for selection of minimum shooting distance.
Set the focus distance mode to 10 cm, 50 cm, 1 m, 1.5 m, 3 m, 5 m or 10 m.
8. SYSTEM SETUP

ZOOM START SET:
This function is for selection of Zoom Start position.
Set the Zoom Start mode from 1 to 36.
FOCUS END SET:
This function is for selection of Zoom End position.
Set the Zoom End mode from 2 to 576.
FOCUS SPEED SET:
This function is for selection of zoom speed.
Set the Zoom Speed to slow, normal or high.
ZOOM TRACKING MODE SET:
This function is for selection of zoom tracking mode.
Set the Zoom Tracking mode to Auto or Manual.
Zoom Tracking means focused zooming state. Select Auto mode, during zoom changing, the system will
continue focusing and nd the right track of the observation. Otherwise, select Manual mode the system will
follow the focus distance previously set.
DEFAULT SET:
If initial mode set to ON, all focus function is changed to the factory setting.
RETURN:
Exit the Focus set of OSD menu and return to the main menu.

1. Smart Mode - System will auto detect its brightness and the backlight compensation is auto dened by
the system.
2. User Dened Mode - Compensation area can be manually setup by the users.
AGC MAX LEVEL:
Set AGC Mode to Auto, AGC Max setup range = 0 ~ 255. (Default setup: 157).
X SHUTTER:
Set ickerless, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1 000, 1/2 000, 1/4 000, 1/10 000, 1/20 000, 1/500 000, 1/1 000 000.
NOISE REDUCE:
Adjust three-dimension noise reduction level value “High/Medium/Low”.
Noise reduction is a function which reduces image noise in order to improve the image quality of the camera.
In particular, it reduces the noise which is generated under low-brightness shooting conditions and other
high-gain states (Default Setup: Medium).
DSS Max:
Low speed shutter control, offers optimal brightness level.
Therefore, in dark scene highter the value higher the brightness level, total of 25 levels: Off ~ 512 (Default
Setup: OFF).
Note: Adjust according to the environment, high DSS level results smear images.
DEFAULT:
Return to default setup.

Return to previous status.

Images can be set to POSI (Positive image) or NEGA (Negative image) (Default setup: POSI).
MIRROR:
Four types of Mirror Mode: OFF / HORIZONTAL / VERTICAL / ROTATE (Default setup: Off).
FREEZE:
Set Freeze to “ON” to enable still field image (Default setup: Off).
WIDE BURST:
Select this option to transmit system image to distant places.
SYNC:
When using a DC 12V adaptor, the sync setting is set to internal sync (Default Setup: INT).
And to line-lock sync when using an AC 24V adaptor.
V PHASE:
When L/L mode is selected, you can adjust the desired phase (0 ~ 99), otherwise it is an NA (Not Available)
item (Default setup: NA).

Return to default setup.

SENSITIVITY:

DURATION:
Alarm duration that arises after the motion alarm can be set to 5 s / 10 s / 15 s / 20 s / 30 s / 1 mn / 2 mn
/ 3 mn / 4 mn / 5 mn (Default setup: 5 s).
When an alarm has been triggered it sends out a high level 5V signal from the rear panel.
ALARM OUT:
Zoom in setup: when alarm occurs, whether or not to start zoom in function (Default setup: OFF).
ZOOM RATIO:
1.4x / 2x / 2.8x / 4x / 6x (Default setup is 1.4x).
DEFAULT:
Return to default setup.
