The LNL-FUSE-12FOMx Fire Output Module With
Individual Fused Fire Relay Functionality
The LNL-FUSE-12FOMx Fire Output Module with Individual Fused Fire
Relay provides these features:
• Available with 4, 8 or 12 controllable outputs
• Multiple trigger configurations
• Contact rating: 10A at 12 VDC
• Each output is selectable for switched or permanently on
• LED indication when relay is energized
• Low current consumption
• Standalone device - retrofit into any 12 VDC PSU
Operation
This device provides the functionality to control the output of a PSU by the
means of either a Volt Free contact (NO or NC) or a low voltage signal
(12 VDC or 24 VDC):
Signal Diagram
Typical Applications
• Any system where power is required to be removed from the system
devices (for example, door locks) in the event of a fire alarm
activation.
Note: For BS7273-4 compliance, you must use the device in Voltage
trigger mode to provide fail-safe operation under open and short
circuit conditions.
• Any system that requires remote control of a power supply output
(turn on or off) in response to real time events.
Connections
Note: This unit is NOT suitable for switching 240 VAC mains loads.
Trigger and Jumper Configurations
This device has three modes of operation that are set with the on-board
jumpers:
• Contact Mode (Normally Open) - Jumper across pins 2 and 3
• Contact Mode (Normally Closed) - Jumpers across pins 1 and 2, and
pins 3 and 4
• Voltage Mode - Jumper across pins 3 and 4
Trigger Select
Each channel can then be configured using the jumpers next to the relevant
fuse.
Note: To disable the channel (no output), remove the jumper.

Typical Setup
Interconnect Diagram
In the above example, when the trigger select jumper is set across pins 3 and
4 (voltage mode), power to the locks connected to the relay-switched
outputs is removed when the 24 VDC signal from the fire alarm panel is
disconnected (BS7273-4 Compliant).
Installation and Set-Up
Note: Ensure all power is removed while making connections to the
device.
1. Ensure the PSU voltage matches the PSU Relay Interface rating
(12 VDC).
2. Configure the trigger select jumpers as required.
3. Configure the output select jumpers for each output as required
4. Mount the PSU Interface Relay using the self-adhesive mounting feet
supplied.
5. Make the required wiring connections.
6. Apply power and test relay operation by using the appropriate trigger
selected.
7.
Note: The red LED indicates the presence of PSU power on the
terminal block input. The amber LED indicates the interface
relay is active.
Maintenance
This device requires no regular maintenance.
