Lenovo is pleased to announce the launch of support services for the
new ThinkPad Edge and X100e (machine type 019 , 0197, 0492, 3508
only) systems. These services do not apply to X100e mt 876.
What You Need to Know
To simplify attach and provide customers the services they need most Lenovo has introduced a
concise list of part numbers to support the ThinkPad Edge and X100e machine types 0196, 0197,
049 , 3508. Authorized Warranty Service Providers can provide repair on these systems.

1. Each of the upgrades available provides warranty coverage for 2 or 3 years as specified
below. The “Mail-In” upgrades require customer to pay the leg of shipping into the depot.
. Accidental Damage Protection is available, bundled with 3Yr warranty upgrades and
provides the same level of service, unlimited number of repairs and a single replacement (if
needed), as is currently available.
3. Priority Support provides direct access, via a dedicated phone line, to advanced level
technicians to bypass basic support and get to the root of the problem faster. This preferred
level warranty support also provides SW support via third party vendors. A technician will be
dispatched (if onsite service is entitled) or advise customer to take their system to their
Authorized Warranty Service Provider or ship their system to the Depot if required.
