Powering Up
PlugtheACpowercordintoa120V,60Hzelectricaloutlet.Theclock
displaywilllightupandflashindicating the powerison.
NOTE: This cordispolarized.Thismeansthecordwill onlyfitone
wayintothesocketorwall outlet. If itdoesnotfit, donotforce
it,justreverseitandtryagain.
SettingtheClock
1.Press the TIMEsetbutton togetherwiththe HOUR setbutton until the
displayshowsthe desired hour.
2.Press the TIMEsetbuttontogetherwiththeMINUTEsetbuttonuntil
thedisplayshowsthe desiredminutes.
NOTE: When thePMindicatoris off,thetimeisAM.
Setting theAlarm Time
1.UsetheALARM/OFF buttontocheckthealarmtime.
2.Press the ALARM/OFF button togetherwiththe HOUR setbutton
untilthe displayshowsthedesiredalarmhourtime.
3.PresstheALARM/OFFbuttontogetherwiththeMINUTEsetbutton
untilthedisplayshowsthe correctalarmminutes.
4.MakesurethePMlamp isoff ifyouwanttheclocktowakeyouinthe
morning.
5.ReleasetheALARM/OFF button,the clock displaywill showthe
normaltime ofday.
NOTE: AgaincheckthePMindicator.Ifyouwanttheradiotowake
youinthemorning,thePMlamp shouldbeoffonalarmtime
(when pressing ALARM/OFFbutton).Tochange PMtoAM
time,advancetime 12 hours.Tohaveclockwakeyou up,
slidetheFUNCTIONswitchtoAUTOorALARMposition(s).
GETTING BETTER RADIORECEPTION:
ForbestAMreception,rotatetheradioasmallamountorpositionit
nearthewindow.
ForbestFMreception,unwrapandfullyextendtheFMantennawire.
WARNING: Donotconnectthe FMantennatoan outdoorantenna.
PlayingtheRadio
1.Slidethe FUNCTIONswitchtoONposition.
2.SlidetheBANDswitchtoeitherAMorFM.
3.TurntheTUNINGcontroltoyourdesiredstation.
4.Adjustthe VOLUMEcontroltoyourfavoritelisteninglevel.
5.SlidetheFUNCTIONswitchtoOFFpositiontoshutofftheradio.

Waking up toRadio(Alarm)
1.Setthealarmtimeaspreviouslyinstructed.
2.SelectyourdesiredAMorFMbroadcastbyfollowingtheprocedure
ofPlayingtheRadio.
3.MakesuretheVOLUMEcontrolis setloudenoughtowakeyouup.
4.SlidetheFUNCTIONswitchtoAUTOposition andthe AUTOlamp
willlightup.
NOTE: Yoursetis nowreadytoturnonautomaticallyatyour
selectedalarmtime.
5.When alarmsounds,toget9minutesofextrasleep,press the
SNOOZEbutton.
6.Toshutoffthealarm,pressALARM/OFF button.
SnoozeControl
Whenthis sethaswakenyouupandyou wishtosleep afewminutes
more,simplypresstheSNOOZEbutton.Theradiooralarmwillgooff
for9minutesandthencomeon again.Thisis repeatedinarow.
Alarm Off
1.PressALARM/OFFbutton.Thiswillshutthealarmforthatdayonly.
Nextdaythesetwillwakeyouagainatthesame time.
2.SlidetheFUNCTIONswitchtoOFFpositionandthealarmfunction
is off until youre-adjusttheFUNCTIONswitchtoAUTOorALARM.
Wake toBuzzer(Alarm)
1.Setthealarmtimeaspreviouslyinstructed.
2.SlidetheFUNCTIONswitchtoALARMposition.TheAUTO
indicatorwill light.
3.Thebuzzeralarmis nowsettoturnonautomaticallyatthe
selectedalarmtime.
4.When buzzersounds, toget9minutesof extrasleep,press the
SNOOZEbutton.
5.Toshutoffthealarm,pressALARM/OFF button.
SleepControl
The SLEEP controlwill allowthe radiotoplay59 minutes(or1hourand
59minutes)beforetheradioturnsitselfoff.
1.Pressthe SLEEPbutton,the displaywillshow59 minutesandthe
radiowillstarttoplay.
2.Holding the SLEEP and MINUTESETbuttonsdown,the display
willcountdown.Releasethebuttonswhenthedisplayshowsyour
desired amountoftime you wantthe radiotoplaybeforeshutting
itselfoff.
3.PressingtheSLEEPbutton,the HOUR setbutton,andtheMINUTE
setbutton allsimultaneouslydown,therequiredsleeptimewill be
changedto1hourand59minutes.Youmayreducethesleeptime
byfollowingtheaboveStep 2.
4.Toturntheradiooffbeforethe playing time hasexpired,
simplypress the SNOOZEbutton.
NOTE: Thesleepfunctionwillnotaffectthewake-upoperationofthe
clockiftheFUNCTIONswitchis inAUTOorALARMposition.
Inthemorning,theradioorbuzzerwillwakeyouupifFUNCTION
switchis intheAUTOorALARMposition.
