Robertson&Caine(Pty)Ltd.(“R&C”)warrantsthateachnewR&Cvesselsoldtothe
rstretailpurchaser(the“Owner”)byadealerorbrokerofR&Cwillbefreefromdefects
inmaterialandworkmanshipandthatR&Cwillrepairorreplacethosepartsofthe
vesselwhicharefoundinthereasonablejudgmentofR&Ctobedefectiveinmaterials
orworkmanship,foraperiodoffourteen(14)monthsfromthedateofdeliverybyR&C
atCapeTown,SouthAfrica,unlessextendedinwritingbyR&C.Inaddition,R&C
warrantsthatthehullsandgelcoatmanufacturedbyR&Cshallbefreefromstructural
defectsduetomaterialsorworkmanship,including,butnotlimitedtoanygelcoat
osmoticblisteringdefectontheunderwatersurfacesofthehullforaperiodofsix(6)
yearsfromthedateofmanufactureofthevessel.
1-6.2 Registration of Warranty and Purchase
TheMaritimeSafetyActof1984requiresallboatmanufacturerstomaintainarecordof
allrstretailpurchasersandtheircurrentaddressforthepurposeofnoticationincase
ofdiscoveryofdefectivepartsorequipmentthatcreateasubstantialriskofpersonal
injurytothepublic.R&Cincludeswitheachnewvesselitmanufacturesawarrantyand
registrationcard(“OwnerRegistrationCard”)whichmustbelledoutandmailedor
faxedtoR&Cwithinthirty(30)daysafterdeliveryofyournewR&Cvesselbythedealer/
brokertoestablishproofofownershipandtovalidateandactivatethewarranty
coverage.IftheOwnerRegistrationCardisnotsubmittedtoR&C,inatimelymanner,
nowarrantyclaimswillbeaccepted.

OwnerorbyanyotherthirdpartynotauthorizedinwritingbyR&C;
C. Anydamagescausedasaresultofnormalwearandtear;misuse;abuse;unrea
sonableuse,includingfailuretoprovidereasonableandnecessarymaintenance;
negligence;improperdocking/mooring;vandalism;oraccident;
D. Anydamagesinrelationshiptosplits,discolorationorcracksinthegelcoaton
thevesselduetovaryingeffectsresultingfromdifferentclimaticandusecondi

E. Anydefects,faults,deteriorationordamage,includingbutnotlimitedtoblister

riesorxtures,oranyotheritemsinstalledbutnotmanufacturedbyR&Cor
