INSTALLATION & CONNECTION
Install the ESCaccording to thediagram shown below.
Switch on thetransmitter. Liftthe car withthe 4 wheelsun-touching and turnon the
ESC power.Right after turnon the powerof the ESC,you will heara multiple sound
indicating the ESCis starting workand auto-setting thethrottle neutral. Whensucceed
in setting neutral,it will thendenoted by anotherconfirmation sound. Ifit is failed
setting neutral, therewill be noany confirmation sound. This ESC is applicable tothe
transmitter with thesetting of 50%throttle 50% brake/reverseor 70%:30%.
Adjust & makesure the Throttle forward directioncoincides with theESC forward
direction. Assurethe car with4 wheels liftedun-touching. Push thethrottle trigger
forwards to startmotor running, pullthe throttle triggerbackwards & holdit. If the
system keeps braking, the throttle forwarddirection coincides withthe ESC forward
direction. Otherwise, ifthe system onlyhas a briefbraking then drivingreversely, the
throttle and ESCforward directions donot coincide witheach other.Change the
throttle reversing switchof the transmitter, release thethrottle switch, turnoff & then
turn on theESC power again. After autoset neutral &push the throttletrigger forwards
the car shouldalso drive forward& the non-coincidenceis corrected. Ifnot, changing
any two ofthe motor wireswill correct thenon-coincidence problem.
Motor rotating direction- Slowly applythrottle to checkif the motoris rotating inthe
correct direction youdesired.
You may need to swap the any two motor wires to get the wheels to spin in right
directions

INITIAL RUNNING
SETTING & EXPLANATIONS
Leopard 60A ESC is extremely flexible and may be like any other part of your
car. The following sectionexplains all thesettings available to you via a Program Card
REVERSE (DRIVING BACKWARD)
Setting 1: Off Turn off reverse function.
Setting 2: Lo Allow only 30% power in reverse.
Setting 3: Mi Allow only 60% power in reverse.
Setting 4: Hi Allow 100% power in reverse.
Setting 1: Std Normal acceleration.
Setting 2: Lo Low acceleration.
Setting 3: Mi Middle acceleration.
Setting 4: Hi High acceleration.
START POWER
Firstly trial runningby starting witha small gearmotor for 2~3minutes, measure the
temperatures of bothESC & Motor. If bothtemperatures are closewith each other,
they are atgood match. The gear ratiocan then beproperly adjusted tooptimum
according to thefeatures of thecourses. However,It's very importantto always keep
both temperatures under100 , while adjustingthe gear ratio.Otherwise the
demagnetization of themotor will happen, the motor efficiency will drop dramatically &
the temperature willbe raised upvery quickly. Most battery energy is now wasted on
heat, nothing onmotor efficiency.
It's acceptable to replace a higher gear ratio or a higher KV motor while the temperature
of the ESC is under 80 . Unless the KV value of the original motor is very low enough.
It should replace a motor with lower KV value when the input battery voltage is changed
to a higher level. The ESC will be burnt if themotor doesn't be properly changed while
input voltage is changed.
