User Guide for USB Mouse Joystick
The USB Joystick Mouse (PC-JAW) replaces a standard PC USB
mouse. PC-JAW presents the same robust, ultra-smooth joystick
familiar to powered wheelchair users, and has two sockets for the
user’s own switches to operate mouse left/right click. It is supplied
with the small joystick knob pictured above as standard, but a wide
range of optional knobs are available at extra cost.
Please read this guide before use, so it gives enjoyment to the
user, and is not used outside its limitations.

LIMITATIONS OF USE
USB-JAW is robust, but there are no particular features to prevent water entering the unit. Do not
soak the unit or attempt to “wash” it in any way. Avoid abrasive cleaning products and solvents.
Clean sparingly with a barely damp cloth and mild detergent if really necessary. Avoid getting fluids
or solid materials in the sockets or USB plug (damage notcovered bywarranty) The unit is intended
to be used in a home or school environment, and due to its lack of fullenvironmentalprotection, must
not be subjected to exposure to the elements.
USB-JAW is rated for continuous operation but you are advised to limit the uninterrupted length of
time you should spend playing computer games, and how long the computer equipment should be
left on. Operating temperature range, as per the computer operating instructions or between 5˚ and
20˚ centigrade.
No unauthorised access or dismantling of the unit allowed. Authorisation will only be given by the
manufacturers –LEPMIS, inwriting, to competent persons. It is not recommended that you play
anycomputer game for extended periods oftime.
This unit MUSTNOT be used to control a mobility device, for example a wheelchair
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Plug the USB connector of the USB-JAW into your computer. It will take a minute or two for the
Mouse and controller functions to be recognised bythe computer, please be patient.
This symbol means that the ORTHROS controller must be re-cycled whenno longer required.
Please do not throw away in the general refuse. Please request from LEPMIS a pre paid
envelope inwhichto returnitto the manufacturers.
PROBLEM SOLVING
The joystick in this unit is particularly robust and reliable and designed for a lifetime of hard use. The
3.5mm Jack sockets will wear out withrepeated connection and disconnection, but should give many
years service before requiring replacement. The USB plugs and sockets will degrade from repeated
connection and disconnection. Try to avoid repeated flexing of the USB cable as this will shortenits
