INSTALLATION

When unpacking, ensure that the following elements are included:

tags are not part of this product and should be discarded.

GETTING STARTED
Remote sensor
1. Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment located at the
back of the remote sensor.
2. Insert 2 x LR03/AAA 1,5V (3V ) type batteries (not included)
according to the polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment and tighten the screws.
Main unit
1. Open the battery compartment located at the bottom of the main unit.
2. Insert 3 x LR6/AA 1,5V (4,5V ) type batteries (not included) observing
the polarity indicated at the bottom of the battery
compartment, and as per the diagram shown opposite.
The batteries are a back-up power source.
3. Close the battery compartment.
4. Plug the AC / DC adapter into the socket at the back of
the unit and insert the plug into a wall socket.
Note:
• If the main unit’s LCD screen becomes dim when you are not plugged into
mains power, your batteries are low and need to be changed.
• Only use the adapter supplied with the WB400. Do not use other adapter.
• The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily
accessible.
Automatic synchronization of the main unit and the remote sensor
1. After the batteries have been inserted in the main unit, the synchronization is
launched automatically and runs for approximately 3 minutes.
2. Within these 3 minutes, the main unit (receiver) picks up the temperature and
humidity signals from the remote sensor and displays the readings.

CHANNEL SELECTION
The WB400 comes with 1 remote sensor. The sensor’s default channel is
channel 1 and does not need to be changed.
The channel function allows you to use up to 3 additional sensors. The main unit
can identify each remote sensor thanks to their assigned channel (channel 1,
2 or 3). If you have 1 or 2 additional sensors, you can place them in a different
location in your house such as in a bedroom. Your main unit can collect the
temperature and humidity data of up to 3 remote sensors.
Adding a sensor
1. Set the sensor to an unused channel by sliding the CHANNEL selector
switch in the sensor’s battery compartment to the desired number.
2. In normal mode (idle screen) on the main unit, press MODE 4 times to go to the
outdoor temperature section.
3. If the main unit does not display the readings after 3 minutes, in normal mode
(the full display of all readings), press MODE 4 times so that only the outdoor
temperature section is displayed. Press and hold MODE for 2 or 3 seconds to
synchronize manually the remote sensor and the main unit. ashes while
it is searching for the sensor signal. You can also press the TX switch in the
sensor battery compartment to initiate the sensor to send its signal to the
main unit.
Note:
• appears next to the temperature display.
• appears next to the humidity display.
WARNING: Malfunction or loss of memory may be caused by strong frequency
interference or electrostatic discharge. Should any abnormal function occur, reset
the unit or remove the batteries and insert them again, or unplug the AC / DC
adapter from the mains socket and plug it back in.
Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries
are to be removed from the product before being charged. Rechargeable
batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of
batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.Only batteries of the
same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to
be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed
from the product. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Do not
throw batteries into a re. Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the
product for a long period of time.

3. Use or to select the outdoor channel ( , or icons) that
matches the sensor you want to receive information from. The data of the
corresponding remote sensor will be displayed in idle mode. The selected
channel must be the same as the one chosen for the remote sensor with the
channel selector. If the channels are different, the main unit will not be able
to receive the data sent by the sensor. The weather station will automatically
detect the new sensors.
4. Press MODE to conrm your selection.
Note:
• If the sensor (or the main unit) is too close to other electrical devices,
interference may cause malfunction. You can change the channel on the
sensor and main unit as described above to improve the reception.
• It may take up to 3 minutes before the main unit displays the readings.
• After a few seconds of inactivity, the main unit will go back to normal mode.
• If the sensor is exposed to very low temperatures for an extended period of
time, the batteries may lose power, which may cause the transmission range to
be limited. High temperatures also reduce the battery performance.
CLOCK AND DATE SETTING
Clock setting
1. In normal mode (idle screen), press MODE once to go to the clock setting.
2. Press and hold MODE until the hour digit starts ashing.
3. Use or to increase or reduce the values, then press MODE to conrm
and adjust the next setting.
4. The setting sequence is displayed in the following order:
Hours Minutes Year Month Day 24hr/12hr display DM
(Day/Month) or MD (Month/Day) display DST function On/Off.
Note: When the DST function is turned on, is displayed in normal mode.
5. Press MODE to conrm your selection and go back to normal mode (idle
screen).
ALARM SETTING
You can set the alarm to sound with a beep tone without the light display or 1 of
the 4 music themes with a light display.
1. In normal mode (idle screen), press MODE twice to go the alarm setting.
2. Use or to toggle between alarm on or off. appears when the
alarm is turned on.
3. Press and hold MODE until the hour digit starts ashing.

TEMPERATURE DISPLAY IN °C OR °F
1. In normal mode (idle screen), press MODE 3 times to go the temperature
display setting.
2. Use or to toggle between °C or °F temperature display (indoor and
outdoor).
3. Press MODE to conrm your selection and go to the outdoor temperature
setting.
Note: After a few seconds of inactivity, the unit will go back to normal mode.
4. Use or to increase or reduce the values, then press MODE to conrm
and adjust the next setting.
5. The setting sequence is displayed in the following order:
Hours Minutes 5 Alarm Sounds (you can choose a beep sound with no
light display or 1 of the 4 music themes with light display).
6. Press MODE to conrm your selection and go back to idle screen.
7. When the alarm rings, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT area to switch on the
snooze function. is displayed and the alarm will ring again 10 minutes
later. Press any key except the SNOOZE/LIGHT area to stop it. The alarm
will ring again the next day at the same time. If you wish to deactivate the
alarm completely, select the off option (step 2).
Note: If you do not press any key when the alarm goes off, it will ring for
10 minutes.
MUSIC / LIGHT DISPLAY TIMER SETTING
1. Press 1 of the 4 music theme keys / / / to play the music and
light display.
2. During playback, press MODE twice to view the timer icon and timer
minutes.
3. Press or to turn the timer icon on or off. appears when the timer
is on. If you select off, press MODE to exit.
4. Press and hold MODE to enter the timer minute setting and use or to
change the timer’s time (1-60 minutes).
5. Press MODE to conrm and return to the normal display.
6. To change the volume, press or when the music is playing. You
cannot change the volume when you are setting the timer.
7. To turn the music theme and light display off at any time, press the music
theme key that is currently playing.

COMFORT ZONE
The unit indicates if the conditions inside the room are comfortable. The ‘ower’
icons are easy to read and understand: they indicate when the optimal comfort
zone has been reached. The ideal comfort zone for the human body ranges
from 35 to 65% hygrometry for a given temperature between 18°C and 24°C
(the temperature and hygrometry conditions are ideal for your well-being and a
refreshing sleep).
Excellent conditions
Temperature: 20.0 to 22.0 °C.
Humidity: 45% to 55%.
Good conditions
A) Temperature: 18.0 to 19.9°C or 22.1 to 24.0 °C.
Humidity: 45% to 55%.
B) Temperature: 20.0 to 22.0°C. Humidity: 35% to 44%
or 56% to 65%.
Acceptable conditions
Temperature: 18.0 to 19.9°C or 22.1 to 24.0°C.
Humidity: 35% to 44% or 56% to 65%.
Not acceptable conditions
Temperature: Not between 18.0 and 24.0 °C.
AND/OR
Humidity: Not between 35% and 65%.

WEATHER FORECAST DISPLAY
TROUBLESHOOTING
Animated Weather Forecast Icons
This weather station collects the outdoor temperature and humidity data and
predicts the weather forecast for the next 8 to 24 hours. There are 5 different
weather forecast icons.
Note: Absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed regarding weather forecasting.
The weather forecasting feature is estimated to have an accuracy level of about
75% due to the varying areas the Weather Station has been designed to be used
in.
Problem:
1. Temperature reading of outdoor remote sensor seems too high.
2. Main unit is no longer receiving remote sensor signals or display.
3. An abnormal operation has been observed and certain functions do not work.
Solution:
1. Ensure the remote sensor is out of direct sunlight, and away from sources of
heat.
2. • In normal mode, press MODE 4 times so only the outdoor temperature section
is displayed. Press and hold MODE for 2 or 3 seconds to synchronize manually
the remote sensor and the main unit. ashes while it is searching for
the sensor signal. You can also press the TX switch in the sensor battery
compartment to initiate the sensor to send its signal to the main unit.
• There may be some interference caused by electrical devices: change the
sensor’s channel.
• Temperature may be below -30°C.
• Batteries in remote sensor may need to be replaced.
• Move the remote sensor closer to the main unit.
• Make sure the remote sensor is away from sources of electrical disturbance.
3. Reset the unit. If this proves to be ineffective, remove and replace the
batteries in both the remote sensor and main unit.

To prevent re or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power
source when cleaning. The nish on your unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth
and cared for as other furniture. Use a soft, clean cloth moistened with plain,
lukewarm water to clean the exterior of the unit. Use caution when cleaning and
wiping the plastic parts. Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used on the front
panel.
Do not dismantle or drop the unit. Remove the batteries if the unit is not going to
be used for an extended period of time.

INFORMACIÓN PRELIMINAR
Sensor remoto
1. Utilizando un destornillador, abra el compartimento de las pilas
situado en la parte trasera del sensor remoto.
2. Inserte 2 pilas de tipo LR03/AAA 1,5V (3V ) (no incluidas),
asegurándose de observar la polaridad correcta.
3. Cierre el compartimento de las pilas y apriete los tornillos de
sujeción.

Unidad principal
1. Abra el compartimento de las pilas situado en la cara inferior de la unidad
principal.
2. Instale 3 pilas de tipo LR6/AA 1,5V (4,5V ) (no
incluidas) observando la polaridad indicada en el interior
del compartimento de las pilas y conforme se indica en el
diagrama aquí mostrado. Las pilas actúan como fuente de
alimentación de respaldo.
3. Cierre el compartimiento de las pilas.
4. Enchufe el conector del adaptador de corriente en su
toma de entrada en la parte posterior de la unidad y conecte el enchufe
situado en su otro extremo a una toma de corriente mural.
Nota:
• En caso de que la pantalla LCD pierda intensidad cuando el aparato no está
conectado a la red eléctrica, será indicativo de que las pilas están descargadas
y es necesario sustituirlas.
• Utilice únicamente el adaptador suministrado con el WB400. No utilizar otros
adaptadores.
• El enchufe de red debe estar colocado cerca del equipo y debe ser fácilmente
accesible.
Sincronización automática de la unidad principal con el sensor remoto
1. Una vez que se hayan instalado las pilas en la unidad principal, se
iniciará de forma automática la función de sincronización que durará
aproximadamente 3 minutos.
2. Durante dichos 3 minutos, la unidad principal (receptor) captará las señales
de temperatura y humedad procedentes el sensor remoto y pasará a mostrar
las correspondientes lecturas.
3. En caso de que la unidad principal no muestre las lecturas pasados
3 minutos, desde el modo de funcionamiento normal (aquel en el que se
muestran la totalidad de las lecturas) pulse 4 veces la tecla MODE de manera
que tan sólo se muestre la sección correspondiente a temperatura ambiente
exterior. Mantenga pulsada la tecla MODE durante aproximadamente 2 ó 3
segundos para sincronizar manualmente el sensor remoto con la unidad
principal. El icono parpadeará mientras la unidad esté buscando la señal
emitida por el sensor. Asimismo, podrá pulsar el selector TX situado en el
sensor del compartimento de las pilas para hacer que el sensor envíe una
señal a la unidad principal.
Nota:
• El icono aparecerá junto a la indicación de la temperatura.
• El icono aparecerá junto a la indicación de la humedad.

SELECCIÓN DE CANAL
Su aparato WB400 se suministra con 1 sensor remoto. El canal seleccionado por
defecto para el sensor es el 1, por lo tanto, no es necesario proceder a cambiar
de canal.
La función de selección de canal le permite utilizar hasta un máximo de
3 sensores adicionales. La unidad principal podrá identicar cada uno de los
sensores remotos gracias al canal asignado a los mismos (canales 1, 2 ó 3). Si
posee 1 ó 2 sensores adicionales, podrá colocarlos en diferentes ubicaciones
en su hogar, como por ejemplo en un dormitorio. Su unidad principal tiene
capacidad para captar datos de temperatura y humedad procedentes de hasta
un máximo de 3 sensores remotos.
Cómo agregar otro sensor
1. Congure el nuevo sensor a un canal libre desplazando primero el selector
de canal situado en el sensor del compartimento de las pilas hasta la
posición correspondiente al número de canal deseado.
2. Desde el modo de funcionamiento normal (aquel en que la pantalla muestra
las lecturas) de la unidad principal, pulse 4 veces la tecla MODE para acceder a
la sección correspondiente a la temperatura ambiente exterior.
¡ADVERTENCIA! Las descargas electrostáticas o interferencias de frecuencia
fuertes podrán provocar el funcionamiento anormal del aparato o la pérdida
de los datos almacenados en su memoria. En caso de observarse algún
funcionamiento anormal, reinicie la unidad o bien retire las pilas y vuelva a
insertarlas. De manera alternativa, desenchufe el adaptador de alimentación de

Las pilas no recargables no deben ser recargadas. Retirar las pilas
recargables del aparato antes de proceder a su recarga. Las pilas
recargables deben ser recargadas solamente bajo supervisión adulta. No
mezclar tipos de pilas diferentes o pilas nuevas con pilas usadas. Usar
solamente pilas del tipo recomendado o equivalentes. Insertar las pilas con
las polaridades en posición correcta. Retirar las pilas gastadas de dentro del
aparato. No provocar cortocircuitos en los terminales. No echar las pilas al
fuego. Retirar las pilas de dentro del aparato si éste no va a ser utilizado por
un periodo de tiempo prolongado.

3. Utilice la tecla o para seleccionar el canal exterior (iconos ,
o ) que coincida con el sensor del que desea recibir información.
Los datos enviados por el sensor remoto se mostrarán durante el modo de
funcionamiento normal. El canal seleccionado deberá ser el mismo que el
asignado al sensor remoto mediante el selector de canales. Si los canales
dieren entre sí, la unidad principal no podrá recibir los datos enviados por
el sensor. La estación meteorológica detectará automáticamente los nuevos
sensores.
4. Pulse la tecla MODE para conrmar su selección.
Nota:
• Si el sensor (o la unidad principal) está demasiado cerca de otros aparatos
eléctricos, es posible que se produzcan interferencias que den lugar a un
funcionamiento anormal. En dicho caso, podrá cambiar el canal tanto en el
sensor como en la unidad principal de la manera descrita anteriormente para
así mejorar la calidad de recepción de la señal.
• Podrán pasar hasta 3 minutos antes de que la unidad principal muestre las
lecturas correspondientes.
• Al cabo de unos segundos de inactividad, la unidad principal pasará de nuevo
al modo normal de funcionamiento.
• En caso de que el sensor esté expuesto a una temperatura excesivamente
baja durante períodos prolongados, es posible que las pilas pierdan potencia
y, como consecuencia, el alcance de transmisión del sensor sea limitado. La
exposición a altas temperaturas también tendrá consecuencias adversas en el
rendimiento de las pilas
CONFIGURACIÓN DEL RELOJ Y DE LA FECHA
Conguración del reloj
1. Desde el modo de funcionamiento normal (aquel en que la pantalla muestra
las lecturas), pulse una sola vez la tecla MODE para acceder a la pantalla de
conguración del reloj.
2. Mantenga pulsada la tecla MODE hasta que las cifras correspondientes a la
hora comiencen a parpadear.
3. Utilice las teclas de desplazamiento y para aumentar o disminuir
los valores indicados en la pantalla y, a continuación, pulse la tecla MODE para
conrmar su selección y proceder al siguiente ajuste.
4. La secuencia de ajuste se muestra conforme al siguiente orden:

24/12 horas Formato de visualización de DM (Día/Mes) o MD (Mes/Día)
Función DST activada/desactivada (On/Off).
Nota: Cuando la función DST está activada, el icono aparecerá en la
pantalla durante el modo de funcionamiento normal.
5. Pulse la tecla MODE para conrmar su selección y regresar al modo de
funcionamiento normal (pantalla en la que se muestran todas las lecturas).
