For instancethe value isdetermined as –80dBm
and GDC-345H goes farther beyond the region of
whichRSSI level is about –80dBm, then the
warning tone is generated. With this warning tone,
an installer can easily notice the cell-coverage
region. You can chooseany value from 60to 90

RSSIlevel of dummychannel. DummychannelRSSImeasurementsurveys the
strengthof received dummy channel withwhichGDC-345TH is in synchronization.
The second line of LCDdisplays the dummymeasurement. First and second column
of third line indicates the RPN(Radiofixed Part Number)of synchronized GDC-
345TB.
Inthe submenu ‘4Traffic’,you can measure the
RSSIlevel of traffic channel. Traffic channel RSSI
measurement surveys the strengthof received
trafficchannel withwhich GDC-345TH is in
connection. The secondline of LCDdisplaysthe
traffic measurement. First andsecond column of thirdline indicatesthe RPN(Radio
fixed Part Number) of connected GDC-345TB.The RPNof GDC-345TBis fixed at (0
0). And thelastof thirdline displays the RSSIlevel of trafficchannel. For the most
part measured levelof traffic and dummy channel are nearly alike.
The nominal decision level bywhich cell-coverage boundary is settledis 80 dBm.
But for better voice quality it is safe to determinethecell-coverage
boundary by 70 dBm.
When GDC-335TH loses the connection withGDC-
345TB,one of the left LCD messages is displayed.
Andwhen the measured RSSI value is lower than
the already entered RSSIwarning level,warning
tone is generatedperiodically.
