2Before You Begin
What is SuperSign Elite-c Software?
SuperSign Elite-c is a remote management software solution for digital signage monitors de-
veloped based on LG Electronics' proprietary technology. SuperSign Elite-c helps you easily
control the settings (e.g., screen settings, power on/off) of the monitors connected to a network
or serial ports.
Signage Monitor
LG Signage monitors can be controlled through a LAN connection or RS-232C serial ports.
For a complete listing of signature monitor models supported by the SuperSign Elite-c soft-
ware, see the [Help] > [Information] menu in the software.
yAdditional monitor models may be supported by SuperSign Elite-c software in the fu-
ture. Please make sure to add your correct monitor model. If you add a wrong monitor
model, it may cause the software to malfunction.

yProvides easy management of monitors connected to LAN or serial connection.
Wide Area Network (WAN) Control
yAllows you to manage the monitors even at remote sites through WAN such as Inter-
net.
Automatic Search for Monitors on the Same Network
yAutomatically searches, adds, and manages the monitors connected to the same
network as the computer where SuperSign Elite-c installed.
Power on/off Scheduling and Input Signal Settings
ySets the monitor to be turned on/off the automatically and sets an input signal to be
applied when the monitor is turned on.
Easy Tile Mode
yAllows you to set the tile mode with the easy-to-use and intuitive GUI design.
Firmware Upgrade over LAN (S7 Platform or More)
yUpdates the monitor firmware easily via network.
Instant Messaging (S7 Platform or More)
yAllows you to display a message you want on the screen.

SuperSign Elite-c Setup
Setting up SuperSign Elite-c involves establishing connections between the LG Electron-
ics’ signage monitors and their management program, SuperSign Elite-c software. Super-
Sign Elite-c connection setup supports the following two methods:
yLocal Area Network (LAN) connection
yRS-232 serial communications
Connecting Monitors to LAN
This method connects monitors to a network using a switch or a hub. Connect the network
cable from the LAN to the Ethernet port on the signage monitor.

Installation
Setting IP Address for Network Monitor
Once the network cable is connected, set an IP address of the signage monitor to com-
plete the network connection. Follow the steps below to set the IP address of the monitor:
1Open the [Menu] window on the monitor.
2Select [Network] on the menu.
3Select [Network Setting] in [Network].
4Select IP setting mode in [IP Mode].
Case 1) IP Auto Setting
a. Click [Setting] to assign an IP address
automatically.
b. When IP setting is complete, click [EXIT] to exit the IP setting.
Case 2) IP Manual Setting
a. Assign an IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server address.
b. Click [Setting] to apply the IP setting.
c. When IP setting is complete, click [EXIT] to exit the IP setting.
5On the [Option] window, select [Product/Service Info] and then check whether the
IP address is properly assigned.
yA Local Area Network (LAN) is a network of computers in a short-range area such as
home, office and school.

Connecting Monitors to RS-232C Serial Ports
For RS-232C serial port communication, use a RS-232C cable to connect a monitor directly to
the PC where SuperSign Elite-c software installed. To connect more than one monitor to the
computer, connect the first monitor to the computer with a RS-232C cable and then connect the
rest with a RS-232C cable as shown below.
yUp to 225 monitors can be connected using RS-232C serial cables.

SuperSign Elite-c Installation
Install SuperSign Elite-c software on the PC which will be connected to the signage moni-
tors through a network or serial cable. You can control signage monitors using SuperSign
Elite-c installed on the PC.
Installing SuperSign Elite-c
This section describes the procedure for installing SuperSign Elite-c on the PC.
1Insert the SuperSign Elite-c installation CD provided with the product into the CD-
ROM drive.
2Run Setup.msi in the ‘SuperSign Elite-c’ folder of the CD.
3When the Setup Wizard window appears, click [Next].
yWhen the popup below appears while running setup.msi, install .NET Framework 2.0 first
by referring to the “Installing .NET Framework 2.0” section. Then, continue to install the
SuperSign Elite-c software.

Removing SuperSign Elite-c
This section describes the procedure for removing SuperSign Elite-c from the PC.
Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > SuperSignElite-c x.x to
remove the software.
4After selecting an installation folder and a user, click [Next]. Click the [Browse…]
button to change the default installation folder.
5Click the [Next] button to start the program installation.
6When the installation is complete, click the [Close] button.

Installing .NET Framework 2.0
1Download .NET Framework 2.0 from the following site, and run it.

2After agreeing to the terms, click the [Install] button.
3When the installation is complete, click the [Exit]
button.

Touring the Software
SuperSign Elite-c program provides remote controlling of digital signage monitors through
a network or serial connection.

A Menu Provides the menu for general functions.

Provides management functions for the registered
signage monitors.
CControl tabs Provides control functions for the selected monitor.
D Control panel Provides the information and configures settings for
the selected function in the one of the control tabs.
Item Description
File Allows you to exit the program.
Group Allows you to create, open, modify, save, and remove signage monitor
groups.
Monitor Allows you to add and remove the monitors connected through serial
cable or network.
Setup Allows you to set language, change login password, and set up
schedule.
View Allows you to view the log.
Help Allows you to check the SuperSign Elite-c version and supported
signage monitor models.

Provides the general functions used on SuperSign Elite-c.

SuperSign Elite-c
Control tabs
Provides control functions for the selected monitor.
Click the arrow button in the control tab to move it.
Item Description
Information Allows you to view the basic information of the selected signage
monitor.
Picture Allows you to control the picture.
Audio Allows you to control the audio effects.
Options Allows you to edit the basic options for the OSD, logo of the sig-
nage monitor.
Tile Allows you to control the tile mode.
Time Allows you to set the time, Power On Schedule, and Power Off
Schedule.
Remote Control-
ler Allows you to use the remote controller GUI.
Command Con-
sole
Allows you to send the CLI command directly to the signage
monitor to control it.
White Balance Allows you to manually control the white balance.
Auto. White Bal-
ance
Allows you to perform automatic white balancing by using the
white balance detection sensor.
Upgrade Allows you to update the firmware for S7-platform signage moni-
tors.
Instant Message Allows you to send instant messages to S7-platform signage
monitors.

Platform-specific Control Functions
The control functions supported on SuperSign Elite-c are different depending on the moni-
tor platform.
The functions indicated as "Not supported" in the table below are shown deactivated for
the corresponding model.
To check the model names for each platform, please refer to “List of Monitor Models Sup-
ported by SuperSign Elite-c” on page 18.
yThe Auto. White Balance function is only supported on WV30 and WV70 among the
S7 Series models.
yThe upgrade function is not supported in 47WV30 series and 55WV70MD.

Using the Software
Login
When you start SuperSign Elite-c, you will see the login window below. Normal users are not
allowed to use the auto white balance, upgrade, instance message, and white balance func-
tions.
The default administrator password is 0000. For security reasons, it is recommended to
change your password.
Group Management - New Group
Before registering the monitors, you must create a new group. Select Menu > Group > New
Group. Enter the group name you would like to use. After creating a group, add a monitor to
the group. The current group name is shown in the bottom left of the program window.

Group Management - Open
To open a previously saved group, select Menu > Group >
Open. Select the group and then click the OK button.

Remove
To remove a saved group, select Menu > Group > Remove.
Select the group to delete and then click the Remove button.

Modify
To modify the group name or description, select
Menu > Group > Modify. Enter the group name and
description, and then click the OK button.

Save
To save the monitor information added to the
selected group, select Menu > Group > Save.

Management
1Adding a signage monitor connected via a
serial cable.
1.1 To add a signage monitor connected
via serial cable, select Menu > Monitor > Add
Monitor > Serial.
1.2 Specify the COM port to the one set on
the PC.
1.3 Select a model name for the
connected signage monitor.
1.4 If you are registering multiple
monitors, it is easier to select the number of
monitors rst and then edit the information
for each monitor in Monitor View later.
2Adding a signage monitor connected via
network
2.1 To add a signage monitor
connected via network, select Menu >
Monitor > Add Monitor > Network.
2.2 Enter the network settings of the
signage monitor and click OK.
2.3 If you are registering multiple
monitors, it is easier to select the
number of monitors rst and then edit the
information for each monitor in Monitor
View later.

3Adding a signage monitor connected via the same private network automatically
3.1 Select Menu > Monitor > Scan Monitors.
3.2 When the window appears as shown below, click the Scan button to scan
monitors. Select a monitor on the list and click the Add button.
4Removing monitors
4.1 Select a monitor to remove in Monitor View and then select Menu > Monitor >
Remove Monitor.
4.2 To remove all monitors, select Menu > Monitor > Remove All Monitor.

Setup - Language
To change the language for the program, select Menu > Setup > Language.
Available languages are English, Chinese, Korean, German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
Setup - Changing login password
To change the administrator password, select Menu > Setup > Login Password.
View - Log
To view the command logs used before, select Menu > View > Log.
Help - Information
Allows you to view the SuperSign Elite-c version and supported signage monitor models.
