200% More Details, 200% More Reality
Even though the screen size is getting bigger with same resolution, in reality, viewers are just
watching the colour block that has been enlarged.
Additional amount of pixels are needed to express the same details on the enlarged screen.
Full HD Display is proud to present a Super-high Resolution with 6M(1920 x 1080 x 3RGB)
Pixels that is twice as many as the previous HD.
Full HD display provides twice the detail on a twice the bigger screen. Especially, when
connecting Blu-ray and HD-DVD, a Super-high Resolution that is beyond the previous HD’s
quality is presented.
Intelligent Sensor LCD TVs have brighter screens which may make your eyes tired when you watch TV at night or
over extended periods. Also colours on the screen can appear to be distorted by a change of
surrounding colour temperature.
The Intelligent Sensor uses 4,096 RGB sensing steps to optimise the picture quality, by
constantly analysing the brightness and colour temperature of the surrounding area. The RGB
sensor optimises the brightness, contrast, colour, sharpness and white balance – reducing
unnecessary brightness.
This technology can protect against eyestrain and reduces power consumption up to a
maximum of 62%

PICTURE
AV Mode LG LCD TVs have 3 special preset AV Modes which provide the best suitable image quality and
sound for specific types of content. They are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on
the remote control.
Cinema Mode
Cinema Mode allows you to enjoy a film as the Director intended, preserving the original
colour expression and atmosphere. Cinema Mode balances the image attributes around
industry standards such as D65 (white balance) and ITU-BT7091 (colour), as some image
quality processing functions can alter how the original film is displayed.
Wide Colour Control
Sports Mode
Sports Mode makes watching sport feel more exciting by emphasizing the vivid primary colours (e.g.
greener grass, bluer sky, etc) and optimizing the TV to display fast moving images with no judder or
motion blur.
Game Mode
Game Mode optimises the TV for computer games, for a more dynamic gaming experience. By
constantly calculating image quality rate, game mode increases dark expression and provides a
clearer image. This is essential due to the games-player’s typically high concentration and short-
watching distance. Sound quality is adjusted simultaneously, completing the dynamic experience.
1) ITU-BT709: International Telecommunication Union, The Standard of HD picture quality
Conventional Cinema
Conventional Sport
Conventional Game
Normal Wide colour Control (WCC)
Wide Colour Control expands the range of colours the TV can display (colour gamut), which
gives a more natural, vivid and true to life image quality – a more accurate reproduction of
the original source colours
Other TV LG LCD TV
Do you enjoy watching sports and movies with a lot of action? We recommend LG LCD TV
because the fast response time of LG LCD TV, results in real-time response to quick moving
scenes, and helps you enjoy flicker free images. Thus your eyes will not become fatigued.
Response Time
Now control the total quantity of light output from the TV screen. . . . .
The system reduces the white saturating effect on bright scenes and increases black expression
on dark scenes. This decreases the tiredness of your eyes when watching TV for extended
periods. This algorithm is designed to provide better picture quality within the Intelligent
Sensor, Standard, Sport, and Game Preset Modes.
Wide Sweet Spot
The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker
system, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel.
They enhance the audio by increasing the ‘sweet spot’ to give a wider and richer sound field.
This new speaker system provides a clean and fashionable design compared with traditional side
or bottom speaker designs.
Sometimes when watching films it is difficult to hear human voices over the background sounds
of their environment, due to the down-mixing that occurs to push 5.1 surround-sound through
a TV’s 2 channel speaker system. The Clear Voice feature alters the sound balance to emphasise
human voices and reducing the background noise All input source (RF/AV/Component/HDMI)
as well as Stereo and Mono broadcast can be controlled by Clear Voice.

Hello... Hello...
Fresh White LG LCD TVs use the XD Engine’s Fresh White algorithm to control the white expression in
relation to the colour temperature of the original source. When colour temperature
increases, the Fresh White algorithm calculates the optimal white expression to balance the
image and keep the white areas white. Fresh White applies on Vivid / Sport Mode, which
need clear image quality for fast moving images.
2007 2008
The Moving LED power status indicator is the aesthetically pleasant replacement for the simple
red-light standby indicator. The indicator colour glows red whilst in standby, then gently pulses
during the power up sequence, before changing to a soft blue light whilst running.
HDMI 1.3 supports 30-bit, 36-bit and 48-bit (RGB or YCbCr) colour depths. Previous
versions of the HDMI specification only supported 24-bit colour depth.
- Eliminates on-screen colour banding, for smooth tonal transitions and subtle gradations
between colours
- Enables increased contrast ratio
- Can represent many times more shades of gray between black and white. At 30-bit pixel
depth, four times more shades of gray would be the minimum, and the typical improvement
would be eight times or more
The problem of too many remote controls is symptomatic of modern times – there are so
many different AV devices to connect (Blu-ray player, Sky box, home-cinema system, etc.) and
each comes with its own device. LG’s SIMPLINK system in the scarlet LCD TV can control all
the connected AV devices with one remote control. By pressing the SIMPLINK remote control
key, you can switch on and control all devices connected by HDMI. When the TV is switched
off, all connected AV devices are automatically switched off as well.
The LG LCD TVs offers an upgraded USB terminal, upgraded from 1.1 to 2.0. This offers faster
and easier access to multimedia – USB 2.0 is 40 times faster than USB 1.1, with a transfer
speed of 480Mb per second. USB 2.0 is also a very compatible interface that helps you to
connect various types of memory cards through a memory card reader. PnP (Plug and Play)
feature allows easy-use of digital cameras, camcorders and MP3 players – plug in the device and
moving picture, music and picture contents are automatically accessible. The hot plug system
also allows you to disconnect any device even while TV is turned on. Now you can enjoy
multimedia moving picture, music and picture on your TV.
