Safe ty ins truc tions for use
Read all instru ctions and explanations of t he installation before u se. Follow the instructio ns carefully. Keep the
operating ins tructions handy for late r use. If the appliance is sold or p assed on then ensure that t he new owner
always receives th ese operating instructi ons. The following warnings mus t be strictly observed fo r safety rea-
sons. They must b e read before installing the a ppliance and putting it int o operation.
• Intended use: This app liance has been designed exclusively for use in dry-interio r households. Use the appliance only
with cold drinking water and o nly for washing textiles with washing detergents des igned for washing machines. Every
other use is improper and may lead to injuri es, whereby the liability of the manufacturer will cea se.
• This appliance may only be u sed by adults. Do not allow children to touch the controls o r to play with the product.
• Never modify the a ppliance on your own, as this is dangerous.
• This appliance is heav y.Transpor ting with care.
• Remove all packaging and tr ansport bolts before using the appliance. O therwise serious damage may result.
• All installation wo rk must be carried out by a qualified fitte r or technician.
• Have electrical c onnections done by a qualified electrician.
• Never place the applian ce on the power cord.
• If the appliance is plac ed on a carpet then place the feet so that air can circulate und erneath the appliance.
• Always unplug the machine and t urn off the water supply after use. Disconne ct appliance by pulling only the plug
- never disconnect by pulling the powe r cord. Never touch the plug with wet fingers or hands.
• Do not overload the app liance.
• Wash only machine-washabl e textiles. If you have doubts regarding this, then ob serve the markings on the label.
• Never place electri cal heaters, candles etc. in the vicinity of the app liance. They could cause the appliance to ignite or
parts to warp.
• Protect the applianc e from wet and damp. Otherwise, there is danger of ele ctric shock and fire.
• Connect the appli ance to a suitable wall socket for 220-240V. Never use an ex tension cord or double adapter.
• Empty all pocket s. Hard or sharp objects such as coins, needle s, nails, screws or stones may cause serious damage.
Unbalanced mass may create he avy vibrations. If heavy vibrations re main also without load, call for an authorized
customer service.
• Do not wash or dry ar ticles that have been cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or da bbed with combustible or explosive
substances (such as wa x, oil, paint, gasoline, degreasers, dry-clea ning solvents, kerosene, etc.). This may result in
fire or explosion.
• Never insert pro ducts coated with mineral oils (e.g. nylon coating, plasti c belts, etc. ) into the machine. If a stain re-
mover has been used then make sure th at the solvent has been carefully washed out before ins erting the clothes into
the appliance. Oil may remain in the tub af ter a whole cycle resulting in fire during drying. So, do not load o ily clothes.
• Do not operate the ap pliance at locations where flammable substance s are present such as oil, benzene or highly
inflammable gas. Such materia ls may cause fire or explosion. Never use combustible dete rgents.
• Only add the prescrib ed amount of softener. Excessive amounts may damage the clot hes.
• After washing, keep t he drum door open to protect the door seal.
• Make sure that all water has ru n off before opening the door. Never open the door if water s till remains. Danger of
scalding.
• Animals and children may get into t he washing machine. So always check the appliance before using i t.
• During washing, the glass d oor becomes very hot. Keep children away from the a ppliance when in operation.
• Never try to repai r the machine yourself. Incorrect repairs may result in injurie s and/or serious defects to the machine.
• The product should b e serviced and repaired only by the authorise d customer service using original replacement
parts.
• When disposing of your old m achine, the power cable must be capped and the door lo ck must be made unusable in
order to protect children.
• When placing on a carp eted floor, make sure that the opening in the socket is not blocked.
• If the appliance has been un der water then contact the customer servic e.T here is danger of electric shock and fire.
• The cover cup of the filter as well as t he dispenser drawer may not be opened during the operatio n.
• Keep all washing powder and d etergents away from children. Danger of poisoning

• The appliance is fitte d with transit bolts to prevent internal
damage during transpor t. Be careful, heavy load!
• Packing and all transit bolt s must be removed before using
the washing machine.
• When unpacking the base, be sure to r emove the additional
packing support in th e middle of the base packing.
Store original packing fo r future move.
Dispose of packing materia l according to local regulations.
Unscrew the 4 bolts
using the spanner
supplied.
Keep the 4 bolts and the spanner for the future use. Refit transit bolts before transporting the appliance.
Level floor: Permiss ible floor gradient under entire washing machine
is 1˚ .
Power socket: Must b e within 100 cm of either side of location of
washing machine. Do not overload the so cket with more than one
appliance.
Additional Cle arance: For wall, floor and door space is ne eded.
(10cm: rear / 2cm:right & left side). Do not place or st ore laundry pro-
ducts on top of the washing machine a t any times. They can damage
the finish or controls of the machi ne.
1. Do not use an extension cord or double adapter.
2. Have damaged supply cords replaced by the manufacturer or its service agents or a similarly qualified person
to prevent danger.
3. Always unplug the machine and turn off the water supply after use.
4. Connect the machine to an earthed socket in accordance with current wiring regulations.
5. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is easily accessible.
•Repairstothewashingmachinemustonlybecarriedoutbyqualifiedpersonnel.Repairscarriedoutbyinexpe-
rienced persons may cause injury or serious malfunctioning. Contact your local service centre.
•Donotinstallyourwashingmachineinroomswheretemperaturebelowfreezingmayoccur.Frozenhosesmayburst
under pressure. The electronic control unit may become unreliable at temperatures below freezing point.
•Iftheapplianceisdeliveredinthewintermonthsandtemperaturesarebelowfreezing:Leavethewashingmachine
standing at room temperature for a few hours before putting it into operation.
• The drain hose should not b e placed higher than 100 cm above the floor.
• Proper securing of the dr ain hose will protect the floor from damage due to any water le akage.
• If the drain hose is too lo ng do not force back into the washing machine. This will cause unusual no ise.
• Proper level-adjustment of the washing ma-
chine prevents excessive noise and v ibration.
Install the appliance on a s olid and level floor
surface, preferably in a co rner of the room.
• If the floor is uneven, adjust feet as required.
(Do not insert pie ces of wood etc. under the
feet). Make sure that all four feet are s table
and resting on the floor. Then check t hat
the appliance is perfe ctly level. (Use a spirit
level).

Installorstoreappliancewhereitwillnotbeexposedtosub-zerotemperaturesorexposedtotheweather.Fitgroundofthe
washingmachinecorrectlytoconformwithallstatutoryregulationsandordinances.Ensurethatthebaseopeningisfreefrom
obstructionbycarpetingifthewashingmachineisinstalledonacarpetedfloor.Incountrieswherethereisariskofcockroach
infestationorothervermin,payparticularattentiontokeeptheapplianceanditssurroundingsinacleanconditionatalltimes.
Any damage which may be caused by cockroaches or other vermin is not covered by the appliance guarantee.
CAUTION abou t positioning the appliance
Install the washing machine on a flat hard floor. Make sure that air circulation around the washing machine is
not impeded by carpets, rug etc.
•
Never try to correct any unevenness in the floor using pieces of wood, cardboard or similar materialsunder the washing machine.
•
Ifitisnotpossibletopositionthewashingmachineawayfromagascookerorcoalburningstove,aninsulationpanel
(85x60cm) covered with aluminum foil on the side facing the cooker or stove, must be inserted between the two appliances.
•
The washing machine must not be installed in rooms where the temperature may drop below 0°C.
•
Please ensure that when the washing machine is installed an engineer can gain easy access in the event of a breakdown.
•
Adjustallfourfeetusingthetransitboltspannerprovidedtoensurethattheapplianceisstable,with20mmclearnacebetween
the top of the washing machine and underside of the worktop.
CAUTION abou t the power cord

•The installation surface must be clean, dry and level.
•Install washing machine on a flat hard floor.
•Proper placement and levelling of the washing machine ensure long, regular and reliable operation.
•The washing machine must be perfectly level and firmly in position.
•It must not “see-saw” across corners under load.
•The installation surface must be clean, free from floor wax and other lubricant coatings.
•Do not allow the feet of the washing machine to get wet. If feet of the washing machine get wet,slipping may occur.

• Two rubber seals are su pplied with the water inlet hoses. They are used for preven ting water leaks.
• Make sure t he connection to taps is tight enough.
• Periodi cally check the condition of the hose and replace th e hose if necessary.
• Make sure t hat there is no kink on the hose and that it is not crushed.
Water supply pressure must be bet ween 1.0-10 bar (100kPa~1000kPa)
Don’t strip or crossthre ad when connecting inlet hose to the valve.
If the water supply pressure i s more than 1000kPa, a decompression
device should be installed.
If after completing co nnection water leaks from the hose, repeat the s ame steps. Use the most conventional
type of tap for water sup ply.I n case the faucet is square or too big, remove the spacing ring be fore inserting
the tap into the adaptor.

• Do not load delicates such as wool, silk, and
easily discolored clothes.
NOTE:
- Steam wash is a highly concentrated and
efficient.
It may seem there is no water inside the
drum(normal condition).
- During the steam cycle the strong steam
spray may not be seen through the door
(normal condition).
- During the steam operation, a spraying sound
will be heard. (normal condition)
- Do not try to open the door while operating.

• For slightly wrinkled clothes which have
been stored for an extended time.
