HDMI-TP-RX200R
Quick Start Guide
Introduction
The HDMI-TP-RX200R is a HDMI 1.3a compatible Twisted Pair receiver. It includes precise
manual, or automatic cable equalizing, which is configurable on the front panel.
Typical application
HDMI-TP-TX and RX200R extender pair
Installation
1. Connect the first display (e.g. monitor) to the HDMI OUT 1 connector,
2. Connect the second display (e.g. projector) to the HDMI OUT 2 connector,
3. Connect the transmitter or a compatible Lightware device

to the
a. VIDEO IN with a Twisted Pair cable
b. DDC IN with another Twisted Pair cable
4. Supply the unit with +12V 1A DC. The available power supply settings:
RX jumper configuration
TX jumper or Matrix Output Board configuration
only local adaptor
only local adaptor
local adaptor + remote send to TX
only remote receive from RX
only remote receive from TX
local adaptor + remote send to RX
only local adaptor
12V DC IN not connected to Output Board
only remote receive from Output Board

Change status LEDs’ function
Press the LEARN button to switch between PRIMARY (SOLID) and SECONDARY (BLINKING)
mode.

Selecting an EDID
1. Turn the EDID address rotary switch to the desired memory.
2. The available EDIDs are listed on the top of the device.
3. The EDID Status LEDs provide feedback in SECONDARY (BLINKING) mode:
Red blinking: an empty memory or invalid EDID was selected.
Green blinking: valid EDID is present at input.
4. Now the selected EDID is reported on the DDC INPUT.
EDID Memory
The available EDIDs are listed on the top of the device (#0..#9).
▪Address #0 contains a copy of the last recognized monitor’s EDID from HDMI OUT 1.
▪On the address #1 there is an UNIVERSAL EDID to support various resolutions and
embedded HDMI audio.
▪Memory range #2..#8 is user programmable.
▪Address #9 contains a copy of the last recognized monitor’s EDID from HDMI OUT 2.
Learning EDID
1. Turn the Rotary switch to the desired memory address where you want to store the attached
display's EDID (between user addresses #2..#8),
2. Connect the desired display device to the HDMI OUT 1.
3. Press and hold the LEARN button for approximately 2 seconds,
4. The EDID Status LEDs provide feedback in SECONDARY (BLINKING) mode:
Red blinking: the learn process failed from HDMI OUT 1.
Green blinking: the learn process was successful from HDMI OUT 1.
Info: Without the Lightware Matrix Controller SW the TX200R can learn only from HDMI OUT 1.

Quick Start Guide
Change equalization mode
1. EQ setting is visible on the 4th LED of the LED tower (in PRIMARY mode)
2. Press EQ MODE button to switch between AUTO and MANUAL cable equalization mode
3. In manual mode use the 30 turn trimpot (EQ LEVEL) to set values between 0 and 40dB,
which helps tweaking the given cable loss even on highest 1080p resolution.
4. Turn the EQ LEVEL trimpot clockwise to increase compensation level
5. Turn the EQ LEVEL trimpot counter-clockwise to decrease compensation level
Connect to the computer
Lightware’s Advanced EDID Management is available via USB connection. Please connect
the device by the attached USB Mini-B cable and start Lightware Matrix Control Software to
access advanced settings.
Serial Port
A serial device can be connected to the RS232 port to use the serial data pass-through
function of the RX-TX pairs. This option is useful e.g. to connect touch panel control devices.
