1 Instruction
Thanks for using Lilascale’s ST series electronic balance.ST series electronic balance
use
product instruction
Single - chip micro - processing technology, Low power A / D conversion technology,
and High stability sensor. Applicable to

Chemical, textile, construction, scientific research,
schools, laboratory analysis of precision instruments.The ST series electronic balance is very
easy to use and operate.But for a successfully installation,operation,it is better to read this
user manual carefully to make full use of all the functions.
ST series electronic balance technology is advanced and it can meet the safety requirements
of the instruments.But a wrong operation will also cause damage to the instrument.
--Please use the product in the environmental conditions specified in the operating
instructions, do not operate in the environment does not meet the requirements of the use
of the machine
In order
to ensure safe and reliable,please follow the steps below:
--This instrument is intended for use by special trained person,who is familiar with
the property of the sample.
--Check that if the balance power supply input voltage matches your local supply
voltage

--The balance can not be supported by the weighing pan or the pan-mounted shaft

Unpack the packing of the instruments,check if there is any transport damage.If you find
some problems,please contact the supplier or the original manufacture directly.
Please save all the packages well.when need a transport again,the original packing is the best
protection.
2.2 installation steps.
Proper placement is the key to obtaining accurate weighing results, so make sure you are
doing like below:

keep temperature stable stable desktop
Moisture-proof, no airflow

Level adjustment and power connection
-Place the instrument in the selected location,
Adjust the leveling feet to make the level bubble in the central location
-connect the power supplier(note:the power supplier should have a good grounding.

3 Calibration
-So that balance power preheat for 30 minutes or more, in order to achieve the balance of the stable operating temperature
3.1 calibration
The Precautions before calibration
1. For accurate measurement results, the balance must be warmed up to 30 minutes before the
calibration to reach the steady state of the balance. Avoid air convection, the ambient
temperature is maintained, to avoid the vibration source of the indoor small room.
2. Prepare calibration test weights.
3. Take off all the loading goods on the balance.
4. You should calibrate the balance before each time weighing.
You should also calibrate the balance when you are using high precision weighing mode.
When the temperature changed,you should also calibrate the balance again.
3.2 multi-point calibration.
Take the ST for example.Under off state,press”zero” key,press the “on/off”key at the same time,,it
show “-CAL-“.then display”1000.00g”.put 1000g test weights on the weighing pan.the display
value changes faster.take off the test weights till the value do not change.repeat above steps with
different capacity test weights like 700g,500g,200g again and again.Finish the calibration till the
value changed into “0.00”. After linear calibration,if the weighing result is still not accurate,you
can do the calibration with above steps again.
3.3 single-point calibration
4.Weighing operation.
Under weighing mode, long press “zero” key, display “-CAL”.then display “1000.00g”
flashing.(note: the 1000.00g is only a reference calibration value.You can choose different
calibration value according to your request to put the request capacity test weights on the
weighing pad.do not take off the weights until the value is stable.
ST electronic balance have the weighing junction,counting function,percentage function and
so on.
The system default function is weighing function after turn on.In order to get an accurate
stable weighing result,please preheating the balance for more than 30 minutes.
4.1 weighing mode
After the balance turn off,it will enter self-checking.then the balance enter the weighing
mode,and auto zero itself.If the display value do not return zero,press “zero” to zero.Put the
goods on the weighing pan,wait till the stable light stop flashing and the stable light turn
off.then read the value from the display.
4.2 counting weighing mode
Under the weighing mode,Long press “counting” ,then display “-COU-“.it will enter the
counting weighing mode.The display will show sample quantity with flashing numbers.Press
“set” key to choose the sample quantity.then put the same quantity of the samples that you
have insert into the balance.then press “count” key to take sample.when the display value
stop flashing and show the number of the samples,then it can count the quantity of the
goods you have put onto the weighing pan.after successfully sampling,the sampling data will
be saved and when you want perform a new sample counting with this old data.
When you it is under the counting weighing mode,if you do not put the same quantity of
samples with the value you have insert or the sample is overloading,the balance will display

“Err1” after press “counting” key.and then will receive the previous to continue the counting
weighing.then press “count” key to exit.
4.3 Percentage weighing mode.
When the balance zero under the weighing mode,long press “set” key to show “-PRE-“.It
means the balance have entered the percentage weighing mode.now the display show
flashing “100%”.Load the full percentage goods on to the weighing pan,then press “count”
key to get sample.wait till the flashing light stops and the display show percentage value,then
can perform percentage weighing.After successfully sampling,the sampling data will be
saved.When you want to perform a new percentage weighing,you can take out this data.then
press “count” key to exit.
5. System setting.
When the balance is turn off,long press “set” key to turn on the balance.then enter the
system setting.then the display show “set”. Press “set” key to change the set items or modify
the setting parameters. Press “print” key to enter the setting option or set parameters
shift.press “count” to exit.

The performance of the ST series balance is affected by the user's environment.
The stability is different in different environment.User can set the parameters according to
different environment.
Resonding speed [F-SPEE-] : When the balance is in harsh environment,and the weighing data is
not stable,user can lower the measuring speed to higher the stability.
Stable time [F-StAb-] : If this value is bigger,the weighing data will be stable faster.But if you
want to higher the repeatability,you should lower this value.
Filtering amplitude [F-Filt-] : Set the value according to the environment.If the enviroment’s
stability is worse,then set this value bigger.
Filtering deepth [F-Deep-] : this value is bigger,the accuracy is higher.but if you want to get a fast
reading,please lower this value.
Auto zero [F-trAc-] : the environment changing will cause the value drift.auto zero setting can
make sure the balance will weigh from zero again even in harsh environment.

Switch unit [U-OPEN-]: When it is under weighing mode,press “unit” key to switch the
open unit.it will use the same unit after turnning on.
Customized unit [U-rAtE-]: customized unit is used to set the unit of the balance.The
customized unit is achieved by the Coefficient and unit multiple.balance use this method
to switch “g” and customized unit. For example: user unit = rate*1g*10 MUL.if you
want to switched into kg,then 1kg=1000*1g.It means the Coefficient is 1000.Now you
can set the rate into 1.000000.and set the [U-MUL] into 3.
Then 1.000000*10^3=1000.000.System will auto-calculate the customized unit accuracy.
Unit coefficient multiple [U-MuI] : used to enlarge or reduce the multiple of the unit
coefficient.0-3 means rate*10^Mul. 4-7 means rate*10^(4-MUL).

standby mode according to the time you have set.when you press one button or the
value changed,it will exit the standby mode.The entering standby time can be set into
0.5-49.50s.

to the stable function.

Under weighing mode,press “print” key can turn on or turn off the key sound.When you
hear a sound which is shorter than the key sound,it means the key sound is turn off.
Under weighing mode ,counting mode or percentage weighing mode,there is a progress
bar to show if the balance is in the safe weighing ranges.

It will show power percentage in the screen.So the end user can charge the battery in
time.
Care and maintenance
ST series high precision electronic balance is a Mechatronics intelligent measuring
instrument.So we have to care it and do well in the maintenance.
Do not use Sharp objects to touch the butten(like pencil and ball-point pen.
Do not let any objects falling onto the weighing pan from a high place.
Do not put the balance in a high temperature or dusty environment.
After using the balance,it is better to put a cover on it to avoid the dust.
Keep the balance clean,dry.Try to wipe it usually.
If you are going to use the balance frequently,you should keep the balance power

on.so you can save pre-heating time.
When you want to measure it with high accuracy,please calibrate it again.
If possible,please inspect the balance regularly.
Notifications when cleaning the balance:
Please take off the power supplier plulgs before cleaning.
Do not take off the weighing pan arbitrary to avoid damaging the loadcells
Do not use corrosive cleaning agents,such as Solvent or something others like
this.You can use a soft, lint-free cloth to brush the balance after putting some water
and some Neutral detergent,such as soap bar.
When cleaning the balance,please prevent the water from dropping onto the
balance.After cleaning,use a clean and lint-free cloth to clean the balance.
Avoid strong magnetic touching the balance.

You should keep the balance clean.never allow any dust go into the inside of the
balance.
