Welcome
We welcome you to the Limestone®family! Our timeless designs continue
to surprise and delight, oering boaters the performance, dependability, and
safety they expect from a company with over 40 years experience in creating
recreational powerboats that will endure for generations to come.
For 35 years, Limestone®has been a heritage brand in North America. The model
designs were originally developed by renowned yacht designer Mark Ellis of
Essex, Connecticut. Ellis’ body of work includes an impressive number of highly
successful power and sail designs for both series production and custom building.
Ellis has been active for 45 years designing and developing the iconic Limestone®
powerboat brand, as well as many others, including well-known sailboats.
Limestones have been built in the Great Lakes region since the mid 1980s for
boaters from coast to coast, and the Great Lakes to the Gulf. Over time, these
Limestone®models would undergo a series of enhancements throughout their
production phases. As the models evolved, customers took notice with credit to
the manufacturer’s dedication to quality, durability and functionality that ultimately
created a cult-like following.
In 2020, marine industry veteran Scott Hanson and his partners completed the
acquisition of the global manufacturing and Limestone®branding rights from Mark
Ellis Design LLC and created the Limestone®Boat Company. Hanson and his team
have also engaged Ellis to be involved with the evolution of existing designs and
new model creations as they move the brand forward.
Today, Limestone®embarks on a new, calculated course with a nod to its heritage
and with an eye to its future. Model enhancements and improvements, and
exciting changes are taking place as we speak.
Our extremely qualified network of dealers are here to assist you.
Congratulations on your purchase! Thank you for choosing Limestone®, here’s to

1. Safety
The following section is a general outline of boating safety requirements and
recommendations. For complete details on boating safety procedures, please
consult USCG (visit www.uscgboating.org) and/or Transport Canada
(visit www.tc.canada.ca) guidelines.
Owner / Operator’s Responsibility
Safety is the first priority when it comes to boating. The operator of a vessel has
a responsibility for the safety of all passengers on board. The following are some
general recommendations as it relates to fulfilling your responsibility of being safe
out on the water:
• Ensure all passengers on board are equipped with an approved United States
Coast Guard (USCG) or Transport Canada (as applicable) Personal Flotation
Device (PFD).
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the
operation of your boat and the required safety equipment that must be on board
in the jurisdiction of operation. Note that there may be additional requirements if
your boat is being operated commercially rather than recreationally.
• Follow navigational rules, and obey the “Rules of the Road”.
• Complete an approved North American boating safety course through the
USCG, Transport Canada, U.S./Canadian Power Squadron, or equivalent. Visit
www.boatus.org or tc.canada.ca for information on available courses.
• Familiarize yourself with any licensing requirements in the jurisdiction where
your boat is being operated. Do not allow your boat to be operated by anyone
not appropriately licensed.
• Familiarize yourself with the features, functions, limitations, handling and
performance of your vessel.
• Always travel at a safe speed. Do not accelerate, slow down or turn too quickly.
• Familiarize yourself with the waterways you intend to travel with the aid of
nautical charts. Pay particular attention to water depths and underwater
obstructions.
• Pay attention to your surroundings while underway and be aware of
obstructions. Always be cognizant of people, objects and structures in the water.
• Have passengers board the vessel one at a time by stepping or climbing in using
available step zones and while taking care for potentially slippery surfaces.
• Do not overload the vessel with passengers or gear
• Have weight (gear and passengers) distributed equally throughout the vessel
when loading.
• Ensure passengers on board are following safety procedures. Brief passengers
on location and use of safety equipment.
• Ensure passengers are not sitting anywhere on a boat not specifically designed
as a seat. When the boat is underway all passengers should remain seated.
• Check the local weather forecast before your outing and while boating. If you
are caught in rough weather conditions, use extra precaution (reduce speed,
store loose gear, head for nearest safe refuge, etc.)
• Avoid boating in foggy weather conditions. If you are caught in foggy conditions
and you cannot anchor or moor to wait for fog to dissipate, take bearings, log
your course and lower your speed since visibility will be reduced.

L-200R OWNER’S MANUALL-200R OWNER’S MANUAL
VERSION 1.01 | 1716 | VERSION 1.01
• Frequently inspect your boat,
engine and gear to ensure they
are in top condition.
• First aid training is
recommended since first
responders may not be
immediately available when
you are out on the water.
Impaired Operation
The use of alcohol and drugs impairs judgment and severely reduces your function
and reaction time. Never operate a vessel while under the influence of drugs
and alcohol.
Safety Labels and Definition
The operator of the vessel should pay particular attention to the safety labels
located throughout the vessel, which highlight important safety precautions.
These safety labels are broken down by category and dier by color and type. This
Owner’s Manual includes additional safety warnings that are similarly categorized.
Safety Equipment
Personal Flotation Devices (PFD’s)
An approved, appropriately sized, and correctly worn PFD is the best protection against
drowning and cold water shock.
All personal flotation devices must be approved by USCG or Transport Canada (as
applicable), appropriately sized for the wearer, and in good working condition.
PFD’s should not be locked or stored away in an enclosed space. There should be
one appropriately sized USCG/Transport Canada approved PFD for everyone on
board. Regardless of local law that may permit PFD’s to be readily accessible to
adults rather than worn, Limestone®strongly recommends that PFD’s be worn
at all times by everyone on board. Even if PFD’s are readily accessible for adults,
in the event that someone suddenly falls overboard and is a non-swimmer or
incapacitated or the water is cold, PFD’s are only eective if they are being worn at
the time.
Unexpected immersion in cold water is a serious risk to life if a boater is not
wearing a flotation device, despite the boater’s experience, closeness to shore,
and swimming ability. A sudden fall into cold water can seriously aect breathing,
nerves, and muscle strength. Certain PFD’s can provide thermal protection as well
as keeping the wearer buoyant.
USCG and Transport Canada Required Safety Equipment
Before every trip ensure that all required safety equipment is on board, easily
accessible, in good working order, and that all passengers are briefed as to
its location.

• Avoid idling the boat for periods longer than 15 minutes at a time.
• Operate all fuel burning appliances in well ventilated or open air spaces.
Radio Communications
When in distress, the operator may use a VHF radio to summon aid. If equipped,
your radio can receive safety information and help you communicate from vessel
to vessel or vessel to shore. VHF-Fm channel 16 and SSB 2182 kHz have been
designated as emergency channels/frequencies.
These are the recognized radio communicated messages to indicate the severity
of the situation:
• Emergency: “Mayday, Mayday, Mayday”; vessel or passengers are in
immediate danger.
• Urgency: “Pan-Pan, Pan-Pan, Pan-Pan”; to indicate that vessel or passengers
are in some jeopardy.
• Safety: “Security, Security, Security”; to alert of navigational safety or
weather warning.
Hazards of Carbon Monoxide
Exposure to carbon monoxide (CO) emitted by engines, heaters, stoves, or other
fuel burning appliances can be lethal. Prolonged exposure to concentrations of CO
can cause brain damage or death. Drowsiness, dizziness, irritated eyes, headache,
nausea, ringing in ears, tightness of chest, confusion, and unconsciousness
can be symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning and should not be confused
with seasickness or intoxication. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should
be immediately moved to an area with fresh air and ventilation and immediate
medical attention should be sought.
Some important reminders and ways to avoid carbon monoxide accumulation:
• Although CO itself is odorless and colorless, the smell of exhaust indicates that
you are inhaling CO.
• Inspect and maintain fuel and exhaust systems regularly.
• While underway, close all aft facing portholes, doors, and hatches. Keep forward
facing hatches open to improve ventilation and pressurize living spaces of
the boat.
• Do not operate the engines with drop curtains installed and closed.
• Adjust speed, change course to increase airflow on the vessel.

Carbon Monoxide Detector
A carbon monoxide detector can indicate the buildup of CO, if present
and activated. If carbon monoxide is detected on board, evacuate the area
immediately, ensuring all passengers have been accounted for. Ventilate and avoid
the area until it is safe to reenter and the issue has been resolved.
Emergencies
Fire
Fire can spread quickly on a boat and overwhelm the persons on board. If a
fire is out of control and cannot be put out, persons on board should evacuate
immediately wearing proper PFD’s. It is recommended that a fire not be fought
for longer than a few minutes before evacuation in case fire spreads to fuel tanks
and causes an explosion. Even after a fire has been extinguished, passengers can
still be exposed to harmful fumes. Ensure there is proper ventilation in the aected
area and the fumes have dissipated before re-entering.
Prevention and preparation is always key when dealing with a fire emergency. Here are
some important notes to remember:
• Routinely inspect bilge area. Keep it clean and free of oil and debris.
• Keep on board equipment easily accessible, in good working order, and make all
passengers are aware of its location.
• If you suspect a possible fire hazard on board, address it immediately.
In the case of fire breaking out:
• If not already worn as recommended, equip all passengers on board with a PFD
and turn o the ignition. This will stop fuel flow and decrease airflow, which
could be feeding the fire, but it will also decrease ventilation of harmful fumes
and hasten the need for evacuation.
• Shut o all gas and electric powered equipment.
• Extinguish all smoking materials, throw any smoking or burning materials
overboard if possible.
• Attempt to keep the fire downwind (i.e. head the bow toward the wind, if the fire
is to the stern; if forward move the stern toward the wind).
• If the fire is within range and accessible, use a hand fire extinguisher, pointing
it at the base of the flames. Use short bursts and sweep fire extinguisher side
to side.
• If possible, signal for help using radio, visual and audible distress signals.
• If the fire becomes out of control, grab all necessary survival equipment and
gear, take a headcount, and evacuate immediately. Swim to a safe distance as
a group in case the fire grows.
Person Overboard
If a passenger falls overboard it is important to take swift action, especially when
you are away from shore. There is a risk that the person who has fallen overboard
could succumb to hypothermia, especially in water temperatures below
70°F (21.1°C).
There are procedures that can be taken to help you quickly recover a person who
has fallen overboard:
• Immediately slow the vessel and inform all passengers that a person has gone
overboard. Keep the person overboard in sight and have passengers point to the
person in the water.
• Quickly divert course to the victim. Approach the victim and keep the person on
the driver side of the boat to keep them in sight.
• When nearing the person in the water, slow the boat down and throw them a
throwable PFD. Maneuver the boat so the engine propellers are away from the
person in the water.

L-200R OWNER’S MANUALL-200R OWNER’S MANUAL
VERSION 1.01 | 2524 | VERSION 1.01
• When you have lined the vessel up next to the victim turn o the engines and
use a pole, paddle, boathook or throw a lifebuoy with a line attached to retrieve
the person in the water.
• Assist the person in boarding at the stern of the boat. Only when the victim
is unable to board the vessel themselves, should a passenger, equipped with
a PFD, jump in the water to help the person board. There is a danger that a
panicked victim can submerge a would-be rescuer. Wearing a PFD is critically
important.
• Check the victim for possible injuries and administer first aid if necessary. If the
victim is in immediate danger seek help immediately.
Flooding and Capsizing
A flooded or swamped boat can quickly become unstable and a hazard to
passengers on board. Be aware of the water level in the bilge and position of the
boat in relation to the water surface. If the bilge pump has not been activated
automatically to deal with a rising water level in the bilge, immediately switch it
on manually. Have all passengers don a PFD if not already worn as recommended.
Run the bilge pump until the flooding issue is under control. Attempt to locate
the source of the flooding and deal with it appropriately. Many flooding issues
can be temporarily corrected by plugging leaks with rags, closing thru-hull valves
or assisting the bilge pumps by bailing with buckets. If you feel your vessel or life
on board is in danger, radio out for assistance and turn back to port or to shore if
possible.
In the event that your boat capsizes or partially sinks, attempt to remain with the
vessel as long as you can while wearing your PFD. Take a head count, stay together
and signal for help using any tools/devices at your disposal. It is easier for rescuers
to spot passengers with the boat than it is to spot people in the water.
Collision
If your vessel is involved in a collision with another boat or structure you should
stop the engine(s), immediately check on the wellbeing of the passengers on
board and administer first aid if necessary. Switch on the bilge pump if it did not
activate automatically. Proceed to inspect the boat for damage; check for leaks
and ensure control systems are in working condition. Make all necessary repairs
and signal for help if required. There may be a requirement to file an accident
report through state/province enforcement agencies and/or Coast Guard (USA) /
Transportation Safety Board (Canada) oce.
Controls, Steering or Propulsion System Failure
If propulsion, control or steering systems fail while the boat is underway, set
throttle(s) to idle, shift to neutral, and stop the engine(s). Consider dropping anchor
to prevent the vessel from drifting. Proceed to investigate the source of the system
failure and correct the issue if possible. Signal or radio for help if the problem
cannot be fixed and the vessel is in danger. Steering will be rendered ineective
when loss of propulsion occurs. Outboard engines require propulsion to control
the direction of the vessel. Quickly reacting in situations of propulsion system
failure will be important to prevent further damage or injuries to your passengers.
Alert nearby boats if you are experiencing control or propulsion system failure.
Engine Emergency Stop Switch and Lanyard
Your Limestone®is equipped with an engine emergency stop switch located at
the helm and attached to your operator lanyard. When activated while underway,
the stop switch will immediately shut o your vessel’s engines. In the case of an
emergency while out on the water, the stop switch can be activated by pulling the
lanyard from the ignition. It is important that the operator wear the lanyard at all
times during operation. This will ensure that the engines shut o if the operator
unexpectedly falls overboard. Otherwise the vessel may continue to operate out of
control at the set throttle speed until it hits something or runs out of fuel.
Weather Conditions
It is important to check weather conditions and forecast before and during a
boating outing. Weather conditions can change very quickly and can lead to
an unsafe situation out on the water. Check local weather services for real time
forecasts on weather and sea conditions. NOAA or Weatheradio Canada reports
are always available on designated radio frequencies. You can also get up to date
weather reports from many local radio stations. Consult with the National Weather

Service for information on coastal warning display signals which warn boaters of
hazardous conditions. Visit www.weather.gov/marine/cwd for complete details.
Some rules to consider as it relates to weather conditions:
• Familiarize yourself with the limitations of your vessel.
• If alerted or sense bad weather incoming, head for safety.
• If you are unable to reach safe harbor and you become trapped in severe
weather conditions:
• Have passengers seek shelter and stay seated in the cabin or
cockpit deck.
• Adjust speed and slow down accordingly. Ensure passengers are
wearing PFD’s.
• Head for the nearest safe shoreline.
• Secure and fasten any loose gear and equipment.
• If you are caught in a lightning storm the best action is to disembark
at a dock. Stay out of the water.
• If you are caught in dense fog and cannot anchor or moor, do not
panic. Chart your course and proceed with caution, lowering
speed accordingly.
Navigation Rules
There are Navigation Rules or ‘Rules of the Road’ for vessels in order to avoid
collisions. The following outlines basic navigation rules and action that should be
taken when crossing, meeting or overtaking another vessel: The operator must
ensure they are aware and understand all “Navigation Rules” before operating the
vessel. For complete information on Navigation Rules and Signals, which apply to
both inland and international waterways, please consult USCG, Transport Canada
or your local boating/yacht club for more information.
Right of Way
• Waves should be crossed at right angles.
• Stay to the right when approaching a boat head on.
• When crossing the path of another boat, the boat on the right (starboard side)
has the right of way.
• When overtaking a boat, the boat being overtaken has the right of way.
• Larger, less agile vessels have right of way over smaller, more agile boats.
• Sailboats or non-powered vessels have the right of way over power boats.
• Give ample room for boats and respect the rights of boaters engaged in water
sports and fishing activities.
• Give ample room for boats engaged in servicing work.

Navigation Lights
USCG and Transport Canada require recreational boats to display navigation lights
while operating at night (between sunset and sunrise). It is also required to display
navigation lights when visibility is limited due to rain, fog, haze, etc. Navigation
lights are intended to avoid collisions by displaying red and green directional lights,
stern and masthead lights, and all-around lights in stated positions to indicate
direction, size of vessel, and type of propulsion. Operators must keep navigation
lights in good working condition and visible to other vessels on the water. Check
their operation before every trip. To operate the navigation lights on the L-200R,
you will find ON/OFF switches on the dash adjacent to the steering wheel.
Water Sports
There are general rules and safety instructions to follow as it relates to your vessel
engaging in watersports:
• Familiarize yourself and your passengers with the hand signals used to
communicate with watersports participants. Visit www.discoverboating.com for
complete details.
• Non-swimmers are not to engage in watersports.
• Watersport participants should be equipped with PFD’s approved for that
purpose.
• Always have one passenger on board to act as an observer of the watersport
participant and to communicate with the driver. The driver must focus on driving
and the forward path of the boat.
• Avoid engaging in watersports near the shoreline, where there are obstructions,
or in high trac areas.
• Engage in watersports in daylight and with clear visibility.
• Keep a consistent speed and avoid making any sharp abrupt turns with a
watersport participant in tow.
• Obey no wake zone areas and follow designated speed limits.
• Quickly return to the downed watersport participant, circling around on the
starboard side and keeping the downed participant in sight on the operator’s
side of the boat.
• Do not drive boat behind a watersport participant in case the watersport
participant falls.
• Turn engine(s) o when water sport participant approaches the transom.
DIVER DOWN CODE ALPHA
Ski Pylon (Option)
The removable ski pylon unit can be axed in the engine well area. The ski pylon
must only be used for a single water skier. The ski pylon unit must not to be used
for any towing or tubing activities because it could fail under heavier loads.
Diving
Diver flags are used to indicate the presence of a diver
or dive operation. A ‘Diver Down’ flag marked by a red
background and white diagonal stripe indicates a diver
in the water. Maintain a minimum distance of at least
100 feet. A ‘Code Alpha Flag’ marked by a blue and white
pennant designates a vessel currently partaking in dive operations.

Float Plan
It is recommended to fill out a float plan prior to departing on a boat trip. Leave
the plan with a responsible person who can notify the proper authorities if you do
not return as planned. The float plan should consist of a description of the vessel,
where you plan to do your boating, your departure time and an estimated return
time. Also indicate the names of the passengers on board. Notify the individual
left with the float plan of any changes in plans and let them know when you have
returned. Find examples of standard float plans by visiting www.uscgboating.org or
tc.canada.ca.
Chart Course
Avoid putting your vessel and passengers in unsafe situations by charting a course.
Use National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Canadian
Hydrographic Service (CHS) charts and maps to help you navigate coastal and
inland waterways. Such charts will importantly note water depths and underwater
obstructions, which usually cannot be seen. If you find yourself in a situation
where you are unaware of your surroundings, or become disoriented, slow the
boat down and proceed with caution, or stop and seek assistance.

information display which will indicate tach, fuel, and speed.
Please refer to the Multifunction Display manual for complete details and warranty
information.
Console Electronics Options
Please refer to the respective console electronics manuals for complete details
and warranty information.
Digital Throttle / Shift
The L-200R is equipped with a drive-by-wire digital gear shift and throttle. The
digital throttle is used to switch gears and regulate your engine’s RPM which, in
turn, will control the speed of the boat in forward or reverse. Moving the lever
forward of center will engage the forward gear and forward speed. Pulling the
lever rear of center will engage the reverse gear and reverse speed. Centering
the lever will put the engine in “Neutral”. The operator must be sure to ease into
neutral before switching in and out of forward and reverse. The digital throttle
must be centered in neutral in order to start your engine(s).
Mechanical Throttle/Shift may be substituted and if so, please be sure to reference
the Engine manufacturer’s manual.
Please take the time to read your Throttle / Binnacle System manual which
provides complete details on digital throttle and gear shift controls.
Engine Trim
The engine trim and tilt controls are located on the throttle(s). These systems
will allow the operator to raise and lower the engine(s) so to maximize engine(s)
performance. It is also used for trailering, launching, and beaching exercises.

Underway
As you transition from low to higher speeds, the bow of your boat will rise and
then lower again once you are established on a plane. Your forward visibility may
be temporarily aected. Take care that your course is completely clear of other
boats, swimmers, or other obstructions before increasing speed.
Stopping the Engines
FSet digital gear and throttle control to NEUTRAL.
FSecurely moor boat.
FTurn ignition key switch to OFF.
Electric Trim Tabs w/ Indicator (Option)
Optional trim tabs allow the operator to adjust the level of the vessel in the water
at dierent speeds and in varying sea conditions. They are located on the transom
where it meets the hull bottom on the port and starboard side and provide
additional lift to the stern at their location when lowered. The trim tab controls are
located on your vessel’s dash indicated by UP and DOWN switches. When properly
used, trim tabs can improve:
• Safety — Improve visibility by adjusting the vessel’s attitude in the water, reduce
wake size, improve handling, and reduce hull stress
• Performance —Increase speed for a given engine RPM, reduce pounding,
correct listing (although the proper method to correct listing is by proper weight
distribution), eliminate porpoising, and oset prop torque
• Eciency — Reduce fuel consumption, reduce engine laboring, and eliminate
squatting
If your vessel is equipped with electrically powered trim tabs, take care to read the
Manual supplied with them because improper use can lead to vessel instability,
obstructed visibility due to a bow-up attitude, or the bow being too low and
penetrating the surf rather than eectively riding on top of it. If the bow is
too low, penetrating the surf can cause a sudden and significant deceleration
that can be hazardous to all on board. These brief instructions are not meant to
replace the detailed instructions in the Manual supplied with optional trim tabs.
Before accelerating or decelerating, fully retract the trim tabs into “bow
up” position. Once established at the speed you wish to travel, make small
adjustments to the trim tabs, check the eect, and repeat this process until the
desired eect is achieved. You may have to readjust the trim tabs as your speed or
sea conditions change to achieve the desired eect. Ensure that trim tabs are fully
retracted into the “bow up” position before shutting o your boat, and check that
they are fully retracted whenever starting it. Avoid being surprised by the eect of
an unintentionally extended trim tab.
