READ AND UNDERSTAND INSTRUCTIONS: Read and unders and his manual before
opera ing his equipmen . Arc welding can be hazardous. Failure o follow he ins ruc ions in his

ELECTRIC SHOCK CAN KILL: Welding equipmen genera es high vol ages. Do no ouch he
elec rode, work clamp, or connec ed work pieces when his equipmen is on. Insula e yourself
from he elec rode, work clamp and connec ed work pieces.
ARC RAYS CAN BURN: Use a shield wi h he proper fil er and cover pla es o pro ec your eyes
from sparks and he rays of he arc when welding or observing. Use sui able clo hing made from
durable flame-resis an ma erial o pro ec you skin and ha of your helpers. Pro ec o her nearby
personnel wi h sui able, non-flammable screening and warn hem no o wa ch he arc nor expose
hemselves o he arc.
WELDING SPARKS CAN CAUSE FIRE OR EXPLOSION: Remove fire hazards from he welding
area and have a fire ex inguisher readily available. Welding sparks and ho ma erials from he
welding process can easily go hrough small cracks and openings o adjacen areas. Do no weld
on any anks, drums, con ainers, or ma erial un il he proper s eps have been aken o insure ha
no flammable or oxic vapors will be presen . Never opera e his equipmen when flammable
gases, vapors or liquid combus ibles are presen .
FUMES AND GASES CAN BE DANGEROUS: Welding may produce fumes and gases
hazardous o heal h. Avoid brea hing hese fumes and gases. To avoid hese dangers he
opera or mus use enough ven ila ion or exhaus o keep fumes and gases away from he
brea hing zone.
ELECTRICALLY POWERED EQUIPMENT: Turn off inpu power using he disconnec swi ch a
he fuse box before working on his equipmen . Ground his equipmen in accordance wi h local
elec rical regula ions.
ELECTRICALLY POWERED EQUIPMENT: Regularly inspec he inpu , elec rode, and work
clamp cables. If any insula ion damage exis s replace he cable immedia ely. Do no place he
elec rode holder direc ly on he welding able or any o her surface in con ac wi h he work clamp
o avoid he risk of acciden al arc igni ion.
ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC FIELDS MAY BE DANGEROUS: Elec ric curren flowing hrough
any conduc or crea es elec ric and magne ic fields (EMF). EMF fields may in erfere wi h some
pacemakers and welders having a pacemaker shall consul heir physician before opera ing his
equipmen .
CYLINDER MAY EXPLODE IF DAMAGED: Use only compressed gas cylinders con aining he
correc shielding gas for he process used and properly opera ing regula ors designed for he gas
and pressure used. Always keep cylinders in an uprigh posi ion securely chained o a fixed
suppor . Do no move or ranspor gas cylinders wi h he pro ec ion cap removed. Do no allow
he elec rode, elec rode holder, work clamp or any o her elec rically live par o ouch a gas
cylinder. Gas cylinders mus be loca ed away from areas where hey may be subjec ed o
physical damage or he welding process including sparks and hea sources.
WELDED MATERIALS CAN BURN: Welding genera es a large amoun of hea . Ho surfaces
and ma erials in work area can cause serious burns. Use gloves and pliers when ouching or
moving ma erials in he work area.

MOVING PARTS ARE DANGEROUS: There are moving mechanical par s in his machine, which
can cause serious injury. Keep your hands, body and clo hing away from hose par s during
machine s ar ing, opera ing and servicing.

Installation and Operator Instructions
Read his en ire sec ion before ins alla ion or opera ion of he machine.
Location and Environment
This machine will opera e in harsh environmen s. However, i is impor an ha simple preven a ive measures are
followed o assure long life and reliable opera ion:
 Do no place or opera e his machine on a surface wi h an incline grea er han 15° from horizon al.
 Do no use his machine for pipe hawing.
 This machine mus be loca ed where here is free circula ion of clean air wi hou res ric ions for air movemen o
and from he air ven s. Do no cover he machine wi h paper, clo h or rags when swi ched on.
 Dir and dus ha can be drawn in o he machine should be kep o a minimum.
 This machine has a pro ec ion ra ing of IP23. Keep i dry when possible and do no place i on we ground or in
puddles.
 Loca e he machine away from radio con rolled machinery. Normal opera ion may adversely affec he opera ion
of nearby radio con rolled machinery, which may resul in injury or equipmen damage. Read he sec ion on
elec romagne ic compa ibili y in his manual.
 Do no opera e in areas wi h an ambien empera ure grea er han 40°C.
Duty cycle and Overheating
The du y cycle of a welding machine is he percen age of ime in a 10 minu e cycle a which he welder can opera e he
machine a ra ed welding curren . In erpre a ion is shown below:
Example: 60% du y cycle:
Welding for 6 minu es. Break for 4 minu es.
Excessive ex ension of he du y cycle will cause he hermal pro ec ion circui o ac iva e.
Input Supply Connection
Warning! Only a qualified electrician can connect the welding machine to the supply network. Installation
had to be made in accordance with the appropriate National Electrical Code and local regulations.
Check he inpu vol age, phase and frequency supplied o his machine before urning i on. Verify he connec ion of
ground wires from he machine o he inpu source. The welding machine MAGPOWER 2100 i must be connected to
a correctly installed plug-in socket with an earth pin.
Inpu vol age is 1x230V, 50/60Hz. For more informa ion abou inpu supply refer o he echnical specifica ion sec ion of
his manual and o he ra ing pla e of he machine.
Make sure ha he amoun of mains power available from he inpu supply is adequa e for normal opera ion of he
machine. The necessary delayed fuse (or circui breaker wi h "D" charac eris ic) and cable sizes are indica ed in he
echnical specifica ion sec ion of his manual.
Warning! The welding machine can be supplied from an engine driven generator of output power at least
30% larger than input power of the welding machine. Engine driven generator must have voltage
stabilizator. Otherwise, may cause a damage. See "Technical Specifications" chapter.
Warning! When powering welder from a generator be sure to turn off welder first, before generator is shut
down, in order to prevent damage to welder!

Wire Spool Loading
Wire spool ype S300 and BS300 can be ins alled on he wire spool suppor wi hou adap er. Wire spool ype S200,
B300 or Readi-Reel
®
can be ins alled, bu he applicable adap er mus be purchased. The applicable adap er can be
purchased separa ely(see "Accessories" chap er).
Warning! Turn the input power OFF at the welding power source before installation or changing a wire
spool.

 Unscrew he Locking Nu [19] and remove i from he spindle [21].
 Place he spool ype S300 or BS300 [20] on he Spindle [21] making cer ain he Spindle Brake Pin [22] is pu in
he hole in back side of spool ype S300 or SB300.
Warning! Position the spool type S300 or SB300 so that it will rotate in a direction when feeding so as to be
de-reeled from bottom of the spool.
 Re-ins all he locking nu [19]. Make sure ha he locking nu is igh ened.

Warning! Position the spool type S200 so that it will rotate in a direction when feeding so as to be de-
reeled from bottom of the spool.
 Re-ins all he locking nu [19]. Make sure ha he locking nu is igh ened.

Loading the Electrode Wire
 Turn he inpu power OFF.
 Open he side panel of he machine.
 Unscrew he locking nu of he sleeve.
 Load he spool wi h he wire [15] on he sleeve such ha he spool urns an iclockwise when he wire [14] is fed
in o he wire feeder.
 Make sure ha he spool loca ing pin goes in o he fi ing hole on he spool.
 Screw in he looking nu of he sleeve.
 Pu on he wire roll using he correc groove corresponding o he wire diame er.
 Free he end of he wire and cu off he ben end making sure i has no burr.
Warning! Sharp end of the wire can hurt.

 Ro a e he wire spool an iclockwise and hread he end of he wire in o he wire feeder as far as he Euro socke .
 Adjus force of pressure roll of he wire feeder properly.
Changing Driving Rolls
Warning! Turn the input power OFF at the welding power source before installation or changing drive rolls
and or guides.
MAGPOWER 2100 i is equipped wi h drive roll V0.8/V1.0 for s eel wire. For o hers wire sizes, is available he proper
drive rolls ki (see "Accessories" chap er) and follow ins ruc ions:
 Turn he inpu power OFF.
 Release he pressure roll lever [37].
 Unscrew he fas ening cap [38].
 Change he drive roll [40] wi h he compa ible ones corresponding o he used wire.
Warning! Be sure that the gun liner and contact tip are also sized to match the selected wire size.
 Screw fas ening cap [38].
 Manually feed he wire from he wire reel, he wire hrough he guide ubes, over he roller and guide ube of Euro
Socke in o liner of gun.
 Lock he pressure roll lever [37].

Adjusting of Force of Pressure Roll Force
The pressure arm con rols he amoun of force he drive rolls exer on he wire.
Pressure force is adjus ed by urning he adjus men nu clockwise o increase force, coun erclockwise o decrease
force. Proper adjus men of pressure arm gives he bes welding performance.
Warning: If the roll pressure is too low the roll will slide on the wire. If the roll pressure is set too high the
wire may be deformed, which will cause feeding problems in the welding gun. The pressure force should
be set properly. Decrease the pressure force slowly until the wire just begins to slide on the drive roll and
then increase the force slightly by turning of the adjustment nut by one turn.

Inserting Electrode Wire into Welding Gun
Warning: Take precaution to keep eyes and hands away from the end of the gun while the wire is being
come out of the threated end.
 Turn he inpu power OFF.
 Depending on welding process, connec he proper gun o he euro socke , he ra ed parame ers of he gun and of
he welding machine should be ma ched.
 Remo e he nozzle from he gun and con ac ip or pro ec ion cap and con ac ip. Nex , s raigh en he gun ou fla .
 Inser he wire hrough he guide ube, over he roller and hrough he guide ube of Euro Socke in o liner of gun.
The wire can be pushed in o he liner manually for a few cen ime ers, and should feed easily and wi hou any
force.
Warning: If force is required it is likely that the wire has missed the liner of gun.
 Turn he inpu power ON.
 Depress he gun rigger o feed he wire hrough he gun liner un il he wire comes ou of he hreaded end.
 When rigger is released spool of wire should no unwind.
 Adjus wire spool brake accordingly.
 Turn he welding machine off.
 Ins all a proper con ac ip.
 Depending on he welding process and he ype of he gun, ins all he nozzle (GMAW process) or pro ec ion cap
(FCAW-SS process).

Uwaga: Take precaution to keep eyes and hands away from the end of the gun while the wire is being
come out of the threated end.
Adjustments of Brake Torque of Sleeve
To avoid spon aneous unrolling of he welding wire he sleeve is fi ed wi h a brake. Adjus men is carried by ro a ion of
i s screw M10, which is placed inside of he sleeve frame af er unscrewing he fas ening cap of he sleeve.

Turning he screw M10 clockwise increases he spring ension and you can increase he brake orque.
Turning he screw M10 an iclockwise decreases he spring ension and you can decrease he brake orque.
Af er finishing of adjus men , you should screw in he fas ening cap again.
Gas Connection
 Connec he gas hose o he Gas Connec or loca ed on he rear panel of he machine.
 Pu he gas cylinder on he machine shelf and secure i wi h he chain.
 A gas cylinder mus be ins alled wi h a proper flow regula or.
 Once a gas cylinder wi h a flow regula or has been securely ins alled, connec he gas hose o he regula or using
he hose clamp.

Warning: The welding machine supports all suitable shielding gases at a maximum pressure of 5,0 bar.
Warning: Always fasten gas cylinder properly in vertical position in a special holder on the wall or on a
carriage. Remember to close gas cylinder valve after having finished welding. Gas cylinder can be fasten
on the machine’s shelf, but the height of gas cylinder doesn’t have to be higher than 43in 1,1m. See the
Figure 19. The gas cylinder which is fastened on the machine’s shelf has to be secured by attaching it to
the machine using the chain.
Welding GMAW, FCAW-SS Process
MAGPOWER 2100 i can be used o welding GMAW and FCAW-SS process.
MAGPOWER 2100 i includes he gun necessary for GMAW.
Procedure of begin welding of GMAW or FCAW-SS process:
 Place he machine convenien ly near he work area in a loca ion o minimize exposure o weld spa er and o
avoid sharp bends in he gun cable.
 De ermine he wire polari y for he wire o be used. Consul he wire da a for his informa ion.
 Connec ou pu he gas-cooled gun o GMAW / FCAW-SS process o Euro Socke [8].
 Depending on he using wire, connec he work lead o ou pu socke [9] or [10]. See [18] poin – erminal block of
changing polari y.
 Connec he work lead o he welding piece wi h he work clamp.
 Ins all he proper wire.
 Ins all he proper drive roll.
 Manually push he wire in o he gun’s liner.
 Make a sure, if i is needed (GMAW process), ha he gas shield has been connec ed.
 Turn he machine on.
 Inser he wire in o he welding gun.
Warning: Keep the gun cable as straight as possible when loading electrode through cable.
Warning: Never use defected gun.
 Close he wire drive door.
 Se he welding parame ers.
 The welding machine is now ready o weld.
Warning: The wire drive door has to be completely closed during welding.
 By applying he principle of occupa ional heal h and safe y a welding, welding can be begun.
 In manual mode can be se :
• The welding load vol age.
• WFS (wire feed speed).
• Induc ance.

Welding SMAW (MMA) Process)
MAGPOWER 2100 i does no include he elec rode holder wi h lead necessary for SMAW welding, bu he one can be
purchased separa ely. See "Accessories" chap er.
Procedure of begin welding of SMAW process:

 Depending on he polari y of using elec rode, connec he work lead and he elec rode holder wi h lead o ou pu

Maintenance
Warning: For any repair operations, modifications or maintenances, it is recommended to contact the
nearest Technical Service Center or Lincoln Electric Bester Sp. z o. o. Repairs and modifications
performed by unauthorized service or personnel will cause, that the manufacturer’s warranty will become
null and void.
Any no iceable damage should be repor ed immedia ely and repaired.
Routine maintenance
 Check condi ion of insula ion and connec ions of he work leads and insula ion of power lead. If any insula ion
damage exis s replace he lead immedia ely.
 Remove he spa ers from he welding gun nozzle. Spa ers could in erfere wi h he shielding gas flow o he arc.
 Check he welding gun condi ion: replace i , if necessary.
 Check condi ion and opera ion of he cooling fan. Keep clean i s airflow slo s.
Periodic maintenance
Perform he rou ine main enance and, in addi ion:
 Keep he machine clean. Using a dry (and low pressure) airflow, remove he dus from he ex ernal case and from
he cabine inside.
 If i is required, clean and igh en all weld erminals.

The frequency of he main enance opera ions may vary in accordance wi h he working environmen where he machine
is placed.
Warning: Do not touch electrically live parts
Warning: Before the case of welding machine will be removed, the welding machine had to be turned off
and the power lead had to be disconnected from mains socket.
Warning: Mains supply network must be disconnected from the machine before each maintenance and
service. After each repair, perform proper tests to ensure safety.

Controls and Operational Features
1. Power Swi ch ON/OFF (I/O): Con rols he inpu power o he machine. Be sure he power source is connec ed o he
mains supply before urning power on ("I"). Af er inpu power is connec ed and he power swi ch is urned on, he
indica or will ligh up o indica e he machine is ready o weld.
2. Process Welding’s Swi ch:
GMAW (MIG/MAG) process
Warning: Can be used o FCAW-
SS process.
SMAW (MMA) process
Warning: When the machine is switched again on, last welding process will be recalled.
Warning: If the push-button is pushed in GMAW process in, the output terminals will lived.
Warning: During SMAW process, the output terminals are still lived.

he workpiece.
6. LED Indica or Power swi ch: This LED ligh s up when he welding machine is ON and is ready o work.
7. Thermal Overload Indica or: I indica es ha he machine is overloaded or ha he cooling is no sufficien .
Warning: If the welding current exceed 200 A, output power will be turned off after 5 seconds. It will be
indicated by Thermal Overload Indicator. Output power will be turned on again after 3 minutes.
8. EURO Socke : For connec ing a welding gun (for GMAW / FCAW-SS process).

 Swi ch off he machine.
 De ermine he wire polari y for he wire o be used. Consul he elec rode da a for his informa ion.
 Take off he erminal block’s shield [17].
 The ip of he wire on he erminal block [18] and work lead fix as is shown in he Table 1 or he Table 2.
 Pu on he erminal block’s shield [17].
Warning: The machine must be used with the door completely closed during welding.
Warning: Not use handle to move the machine during work.
