Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Lindy DisplayPort 1.4 Repeater. This product has been designed to provide
trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2-year warranty and free lifetime technical
support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference.
The Lindy DisplayPort 1.4 repeater allows the transmission of DisplayPort signals up to 7680x4320@60Hz
& 3840x2160@144Hz over distances up to 12m (39.37ft). Lower resolutions are also supported over long
distances up to 35m (114.83ft) when used in conjunction with high-quality DisplayPort cables. Support for
HDR coupled with compatibility for HDCP & DPCP ensures digital copy protected content from streaming
services & Blu-ray movies can be enjoyed with enhanced brightness, greater contrasts and a much wider
colour gamut.
Cascading functionality supported by this repeater allows users to extend 8K UHD video resolutions even
further with up to 5 layers to achieve distances of up to 32m (104.99ft) which cannot be achieved using
standard DisplayPort cables.

Installation
Please note: The specified maximum resolutions and distances listed in the specification section of this
manual are reliant on the use of high-quality DisplayPort cables. We strongly recommend using Lindy Gold
Line DisplayPort cables to achieve the best results.
For successful installation, please follow the steps below:
1. Using a high-quality DisplayPort cable, establish a connection between a source device and the input
port on the repeater.
2. Connect a second high-quality DisplayPort cable to the output port on the repeater and an appropriate
display or projector.
Note: When cascading this repeater up to 5 levels, connect the output of the first repeater to the input
of the second, continue this process using up to 5 repeaters, finally connecting the output of the last
repeater to a display or projector.
3. Connect the multi-country power supply to an appropriate outlet and the DC jack to the power port on
the repeater. When cascading, please ensure all repeaters are powered.
4. Power on the source and display devices.
5. Installation is now complete.

Troubleshooting
If there is no signal being displayed, please check each step below to resolve the issue.
▪Check all connections between the repeater, display and source devices ensuring that these devices
are securely connected by the DisplayPort cables.
▪Ensure the repeater is receiving power from the included multi-country power supply. The orange
power LED on top of the unit will illuminate when enough power is being received.
▪Check the length of the input and output cables against the maximum cable lengths in the specification.
If these are longer than the maximum lengths, replace them with a shorter length DisplayPort cable.
▪The maximum compatible resolutions, refresh rates and colour spaces are achievable using high
quality DisplayPort cables. If all the above steps have been checked and the signal is still not being
displayed, please use higher quality replacement DisplayPort cables.
▪If the DisplayPort cables cannot be replaced, consider reducing the resolution, refresh rate or colour
space below the maximums supported.

Installation
Beachten Sie bitte, dass die unter ‘Spezifikationen’ angegebenen maximalen Auflösungen und Distanzen
nur bei Verwendung hochwertiger DisplayPort-Kabel möglich sind. Wie empfehlen für beste Ergebnisse
Lindy DisplayPort-Kabel der Gold Line.
Folgen Sie zur Installation den unten stehenden Anweisungen:
1. Verbinden Sie ein Quellgerät mit dem Eingangsport des Repeaters, indem Sie ein hochwertiges
DisplayPort-Kabel anschließen.
2. Ein weiteres, hochwertiges DisplayPort-Kabel verwenden Sie bitte zum Anschluss eines Displays oder
Projektors an den Ausgangsport des Repeaters.
Beachten Sie bitte, wenn der Repeater auf 5 Ebenen kaskadiert wird, dass der Ausgang des ersten
Repeaters mit dem Eingang des zweiten Repeaters verbunden wird. Fahren Sie so mit bis zu 5
Repeatern fort und schließen Sie am Schluss den Ausgang des letzten Repeaters am Display oder
Projektor an.
3. Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit der entsprechenden Buchse des Repeaters und mit der Steckdose.
Beim Kaskadieren müssen alle Repeater mit Strom versorgt werden.
4. Schalten Sie das Quellgerät und die Displays ein.
5. Die Installation ist nun abgeschlossen.

Fehlersuche
Wenn kein Videosignal ausgegeben wird, gehen Sie bitte vor wie folgt.
▪Überprüfen Sie alle Verbindungen zwischen Repeater, Display und Quellgerät. Stellen Sie sicher,
dass diese Geräte korrekt mit den DisplayPort-Kabeln angeschlossen sind.
▪Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Repeater über das mitgelieferte Netzteil mit Strom versorgt wird. Die
orange Power LED oben auf dem Gerät leuchtet, wenn ausreichend Strom zur Verfügung steht.
▪Überprüfen Sie die Kabellängen am Ein- und Ausgang und vergleichen Sie diese mit den Angaben in
der Spezifikation.Wenn die Längen die angegebenen Maximallängen überschreiten, ersetzen Sie die
Kabel bitte durch kürzere DisplayPort-Kabel.
▪Die maximalen Auflösungen, Bildwiederholraten und Farbräume werden mit hochwertigen
DisplayPort-Kabeln erreicht. Wenn die oben genannten Maßnahmen nicht zum Erfolg führen und das
Videosignal noch immer nicht angezeigt wird, verwenden Sie bitte höherwertige DisplayPort-Kabel.
▪Wenn Sie die DisplayPort-Kabel nicht austauschen können, reduzieren Sie Auflösung,
Bildwiederholrate oder Farbräume.

Installation
Merci de noter: Les résolutions et distances maximales indiquées dans la section des spécifications de
ce manuel dépendent de l'utilisation de câbles DisplayPort de haute qualité. Nous recommandons
fortement d'utiliser les câbles DisplayPort Gold Line LINDY pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats.
Pour une installation réussie, veuillez suivre les étapes ci-dessous :
1. A l'aide d'uncâble DisplayPort de hautequalité, établissez une connexion entreun périphériquesource
et le port d'entrée du répéteur.
2. Connectez un deuxième câble DisplayPort de haute qualité au port de sortie du répéteur et à un écran
ou projecteur approprié.
Note: Lors de la mise en cascade de ce répéteur jusqu'à 5 niveaux, connecter la sortie du premier
répéteur à l'entrée du second, continuer ce processus en utilisant jusqu'à 5 répéteurs, puis connecter
la sortie du dernier répéteur à un écran ou un projecteur.
3. 3.Connectez l'alimentation électrique multi-pays à une prise appropriée et la prise DC au port
d'alimentation du répéteur. Lors de la mise en cascade, veuillez vous assurer que tous les répéteurs
sont sous tension.
4. Allumez la source et les dispositifs d'affichage.
5. L'installation est maintenant terminée.

Dépannage
Si aucune image ne s’affiche, veuillez vérifier chacune des étapes ci-dessous pour résoudre le problème.
▪Vérifiez toutes les connexions entre le répéteur, l'affichage et les appareils source en vous assurant
que ceux-ci sont correctement connectés avec les câbles DisplayPort.
▪Assurez-vous que le répéteur est alimenté par le bloc d'alimentation multi-pays fourni. La LED
d'alimentation orange sur le dessus de l'appareil s'allume lorsque l'alimentation est suffisante.
▪Vérifiez la longueur des câbles d'entrée et de sortie par rapport aux longueurs de câble maximales
indiquées dans la spécification. Si celles-ci sont plus longues que les longueurs maximales,
remplacez-les par un câble DisplayPort plus court.
▪Des câbles DisplayPort de haute qualité permettent d'obtenir des résolutions, des taux de
rafraîchissement et des espaces colorimétriques maximaux compatibles. Si toutes les étapes ci-
dessus ont été vérifiées et que le signal n'est toujours pas affiché, veuillez utiliser des câbles
DisplayPort de remplacement de qualité supérieure.
▪Si les câbles DisplayPort ne peuvent pas être remplacés, envisagez de réduire la résolution, la
fréquence de rafraîchissement ou l'espace couleur en dessous des maxima permis.

Installazione
Nota Bene: La massima risoluzione e lunghezza specificata nella sezione precedente sono condizionata
dall’uso di cavi DisplayPort di alta qualità. Vi raccomandiamo vivamente l’utilizza dei cavi Lindy DisplayPort
Gold Line per assicurarvi la migliore resa possibile.
Per l’installazione seguite tutti i passi riportati sotto:
1. Utilizzando un cavo DisplayPort di alta qualità collegate un dispositivo sorgente alla porta in ingresso
(input) del ripetitore.
2. Collegate con un secondo cavo DisplayPort di alta qualità la porta in uscita (output) del ripetitore ad
uno schermo o proiettore appropriato.
Nota: quado installate il ripetitore in cascata fino a 5 livelli, collegate la porta in uscita del primo
ripetitore a quella in ingresso del secondo e così via fino ad utilizzare tutti i ripetitori necessari e
collegando alla porta in uscita dell’ultimo lo schermo o il proiettore.
3. Collegate l’alimentatore multi-country ad una presa di corrente e poi il connettore di alimentazione DC
alla porta di alimentazione (power) del ripetitore. In caso di installazione in cascata assicuratevi che
tutti i ripetitori siano alimentati.
4. Accendete la sorgente e lo schermo/proiettore.
5. L’installazione è ora completa

Risoluzione dei problemi
Se non compare alcun segnale sullo schermo vi preghiamo di seguire i seguenti passi per cercare di
risolvere il problema:
▪Controllate tutte le connessioni fra il ripetitore, lo schermo e la sorgente assicurandovi che tutti i cavi
siano saldamente collegati.
▪Assicuratevi che il ripetitore riceva alimentazione dall’alimentatore incluso nella confezione. Il LED
Power arancione posto nella parte superiore del prodotto si illuminerà non appena riceverà
alimentazione.
▪Controllate la lunghezza dei cavi utilizzati confrontandola conquella riportata nella tabella della sezione
Specifiche. Nel caso un cavo DisplayPort sia troppo lungo sostituitelo con uno che rispetti la massima
distanza indicata.
▪La massima risoluzione, frequenza e spazio colore sono raggiungibili solo utilizzando cavi DisplayPort
di elevata qualità. Se tutti i passi precedenti non hanno risolto il problema e il segnale non viene ancora
visualizzato, vi preghiamo di sostituire i cavi con modelli di qualità superiore.
▪Se i cavi DisplayPort non possono essere sostituti provate a ridurre la risoluzione, la frequenza o lo
spazio colore sotto quelli massimi supportati

In 2006 the European Union introduced regulations (WEEE) for the collection and recycling of all waste electrical
and electronic equipment. It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and electronic equipment. Instead,
these products must enter the recycling process.
Each individual EU member state has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly different ways.
Please follow your national law when you want to dispose of any electrical or electronic products. More details can
be obtained from your national WEEE recycling agency.
Germany / Deutschland Rücknahme Elektroschrott und Batterie-Entsorgung
Die Europäische Union hat mit derWEEE Direktive Regelungen für die Verschrottung und das Recycling von Elektro-
und Elektronikprodukten geschaffen. Diese wurden im Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz –ElektroG in deutsches
