defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of

Ifthedatethecustomer’snoticeofwarrantyclaimisreceivedbyLinearAcoustic
(suchdatethe“WarrantyClaimNoticeDate”)iswithinthefirst90daysfollowing
the Receipt Date, Linear Acoustic will pay the costs of shipping such warranted
Producttoandfromtheenduser’slocation,andthecostofrepairorreplacementof
suchwarrantedProduct.

If the Warranty Claim Notice Date occurs after the first 90 days following the
ReceiptDateandbeforetheendofthesecond(2nd)year,thecustomerwillpaythe
freight to return the warranted Product to Linear Acoustic. Linear Acoustic will
then,atitssolediscretion,repairorreplacethewarrantedProductandreturnitto
theenduseratLinearAcousticexpense.

Ineach of theabove, the unitis to bereturned directly toLinear Acoustic witha
return authorization (RA) number clearly marked on the packaging. Please note,
thisRAnumbermustbepresentorpackagewillberefusedandreturnedtosender.

Theenduserwillinallcasesberesponsibleforalldutiesandtaxesassociated
withtheshipment,returnandservicingofthewarrantedProduct.

Nodistributor,dealer,orresellerofLinearAcousticproductsis authorized under
anycircumstancestoextend,expandorotherwisemodifyinanywaythewarranty
providedbyLinearAcoustic,andanyattempttodosoisnullandvoidandshallnot
beeffectiveasagainstLinearAcousticoritsAffiliates.

Outofwarrantyunitsreturnedtothefactoryforrepairmaybesubjecttoa$500
evaluationfee,whichmustbeprepaidpriortoshippingtheunittoLinearAcoustic.
If no repairs are required, the $500 fee will be retained by Linear Acoustic as an
evaluationcharge.Ifrepairsarerequired,the$500feewillbeappliedtothetotal
costoftherepair.

1.1.Introduction


Processor!Itisastateoftheart,adaptive,multiband,broadcastaudio/loudness
processor.

ThisuserguideisintendedtobereadwhileinfrontofarunningAERO.10unit.Itis
mosthelpfulifthesource(s)thatwillbeusedisactuallyconnectedtotheAERO.10.
Doingthisprovidesfeedbacktotheuser,viathemetersandIPaudiomonitoring,
abouttheconfigurationchangesbeingmade.

TomakelearningyourwayaroundtheAERO.10asusefulandrewardingas
possible,thereissomeinformationthatyoushouldhaveathandatyoustart:

•TheIPaddressandsubnetmaskintendedtobeassignedtotheAERO.10.

1.2.Overview

TheAERO.10canapplyloudnesscontrolandupmixingtoteninputchannels.It
outputs5.1processedchannels,andtwoseparatetwochannelprograms.Thetwo
stereooutputprogramscanbedownmixesofthe5.1,independentstereoprograms,
orparalleledoutputsoftwodifferentsinglechannelsources.


1.6.InstallationandMounting
1.6.1.Installation

Useallfourrackscrewsandallow1RUofspaceaboveandbelowtheunitwhenever
possible.Thereisanairintakeontherightsideoftheunitandanexhaustfanonthe
leftsidethatmustnotbeblocked.

1.6.2.Power

Dual,universalpowersuppliesareprovidedalongwithtwoIECpowercables.
Redundantpowersuppliesareincludedprimarilytoprotectyoufrominterruptions
onthepowerline.Ideally,eachpowersupplyshouldbefedfromadifferentcircuit,
anditisstronglyrecommendedthatanuninterruptablepowersupply(UPS)isused
onatleastoneofthepowersupplies.Inallcasesbothsuppliesshouldbeused.

Thereisnoon/offswitch,theAERO.10willturnonwhenpowerisappliedtoeither
powersupply.Theunitmaybeshutdownsimplybyremovingpowertoit.No
harmtotheAERO.10willoccurindoingso.




