If the Warranty Claim Notice Date occurs after the first 90 days following the
ReceiptDateandbeforetheendofthesecond(2nd)year,thecustomerwillpaythe
freight to return the warranted Product to Linear Acoustic. Linear Acoustic will
then,atitssolediscretion,repairorreplacethewarrantedProductandreturnitto
theenduseratLinearAcousticexpense.
Ineach of theabove, the unitis to bereturned directly toLinear Acoustic witha
return authorization (RA) number clearly marked on the packaging. Please note,
thisRAnumbermustbepresentorpackagewillberefusedandreturnedtosender.
Theenduserwillinallcasesberesponsibleforalldutiesandtaxesassociated
withtheshipment,returnandservicingofthewarrantedProduct.
Nodistributor,dealer,orresellerofLinearAcousticproductsis authorized under
anycircumstancestoextend,expandorotherwisemodifyinanywaythewarranty
providedbyLinearAcoustic,andanyattempttodosoisnullandvoidandshallnot
beeffectiveasagainstLinearAcousticoritsAffiliates.
Outofwarrantyunitsreturnedtothefactoryforrepairmaybesubjecttoa$500

If no repairs are required, the $500 fee will be retained by Linear Acoustic as an

1.1.Introduction
CongratulationsonyourpurchaseoftheLinearAcousticAERO.10DTVAudio
Processor!Itisastateoftheart,adaptive,multiband,broadcastaudio/loudness
processor.
ThisuserguideisintendedtobereadwhileinfrontofarunningAERO.10unit.Itis
mosthelpfulifthesource(s)thatwillbeusedisactuallyconnectedtotheAERO.10.
Doingthisprovidesfeedbacktotheuser,viathemetersandIPaudiomonitoring,
abouttheconfigurationchangesbeingmade.
TomakelearningyourwayaroundtheAERO.10asusefulandrewardingas
possible,thereissomeinformationthatyoushouldhaveathandatyoustart:
•TheIPaddressandsubnetmaskintendedtobeassignedtotheAERO.10.

1.2.Overview
TheAERO.10canapplyloudnesscontrolandupmixingtoteninputchannels.It
outputs5.1processedchannels,andtwoseparatetwochannelprograms.Thetwo
stereooutputprogramscanbedownmixesofthe5.1,independentstereoprograms,
orparalleledoutputsoftwodifferentsinglechannelsources.

1.6.1.Installation
Useallfourrackscrewsandallow1RUofspaceaboveandbelowtheunitwhenever
possible.Thereisanairintakeontherightsideoftheunitandanexhaustfanonthe
leftsidethatmustnotbeblocked.
1.6.2.Power
Dual,universalpowersuppliesareprovidedalongwithtwoIECpowercables.
Redundantpowersuppliesareincludedprimarilytoprotectyoufrominterruptions
onthepowerline.Ideally,eachpowersupplyshouldbefedfromadifferentcircuit,
anditisstronglyrecommendedthatanuninterruptablepowersupply(UPS)isused
onatleastoneofthepowersupplies.Inallcasesbothsuppliesshouldbeused.
Thereisnoon/offswitch,theAERO.10willturnonwhenpowerisappliedtoeither
powersupply.Theunitmaybeshutdownsimplybyremovingpowertoit.No
harmtotheAERO.10willoccurindoingso.
