8 Chair operation
For easier operation the chair has two wheels at the rear corners.
Proceed carefully and ensure that there is fabric or a carpet underneath when the chair is being
pushed across a floor, as damage to the floor surface may occur.
8.1 Extending and retracting the BLUES chair
1. Before extending, first remove the cushions and backrest from the chair
2. Grasp the front of the seat using one hand, using the other hand to grasp the loop at the rear. Pull it up and
forwards in an arc, and then down. In this way the metal supports below the seat will be extended and a flat
sleeping platform will be formed.
3. Raised headrest –insert the backrest from position "A" into position "B"
4. Horizontal headrest –pull the metal support "C" down. Insert the backrest from position "A" into position "B.
5. The cushions can be used beneath the head.
6. When retracting the chair, first put the cushions to one side and remove the backrest. If the backrest is in the
horizontal position, do not forget to return the metal support "C" to its original position.
7. Grasp the seat by the loop and the edge and lift it into the body of the chair. The metal supports will fold up by
themselves.
8. Put the backrest and cushions onto the chair.

possible. Pull the loop upwards and from the section below pull out the lower part of the bed to the level of the
other seat.
3. During this procedure, do not put your hands inside the seat structure. Only touch the fabric loop for pulling out
and sliding the seat.

9 Care instructions
Do not use cleaning materials that contain abrasive compounds. They will damage the surface
finish of the chair.
9.1 Cover materials
Cleaning methods may differ depending on the type of cover material selected. The cover cannot be removed.
9.1.1 Textile
Do not wash the cover, clean using an upholstery shampoo! Do not bleach! Do not iron! Do not dry clean (do not use
solvents, benzene, acetone, thinners etc.)! Do not put in a dryer! Do not scrub!
Beneath the textile is padding. Avoid excessive stress to the textile (rivets and or buckles on jeans, hard seams,
pets). A slight wrinkling of the textile does not constitute a fault and is caused by natural stretching of the cover and
compression of the upholstery materials after several months of use. Vacuum the upholstered parts using a vacuum
cleaner on a low or medium setting with the upholstery nozzle.
9.1.2 Leatherette
Leatherette can be cleaned using lukewarm water and soap designed for this purpose.
Do not wash the cover, clean using an upholstery shampoo! Do not bleach! Do not iron! Do not dry clean (do not use
solvents, benzene, acetone, thinners etc.)! Do not put in a dryer! Do not scrub!
