•Carefully remove the appliance and accessories from the packaging.
•When unpacking, make sure that the following parts are included:
1 back/neck heating pad
1 remote control (plugged in)
1 instruction manual with warranty card
•Check the package for completeness and possible transport damage.
•Remove the protective film from the display.
•Keep the sales box. It can serve to store the appliance if it is not used for a longer period
of time.
4. GENERAL
Storing the manual

•All activities on and with this appliance may only be carried out as described in this
manual.
•Keep this manual in a safe place.
•If you pass the machine on to someone else, please include these operating instructions.
The operating instructions are an integral part of the appliance.
•The operating instructions can be requested from our customer service department in
PDF format.
Intended use
•The heating pad is designed for relaxation in the home and is not suitable for commercial
use. The heating pad is not a medical device. The appliance may only be used indoors.
•Any other use or modification of the appliance is not in line with its intended use and is
strictly prohibited. No liability can be accepted for damage caused by improper use or
incorrect operation.
Foreseeable misuse
•The heating pad must not be used as a heating underlay, e.g. under a bed sheet.
Symbols
If necessary, you will find the following warnings in these operating instructions:
DANGER! High risk: Disregarding the warning can cause harm to life and
limb.
WARNING! Medium risk: Disregarding the warning can cause injury or serious material
damage
CAUTION: Low risk: Disregarding the warning may cause minor injuries or material
damage.
Note: Special features that should be taken into consideration when handling the
appliance.
This symbol warns of the danger of electric shock.
•Switches that should be pressed are always written in bold.
Example: Press the on/off switch I/0.
•Operating instructions involving a fixed sequence are always numbered (1st, 2nd, 3rd,
etc.).
Symbols displayed on the appliance
•The type plates are sewn onto the heating pad and on the underside of the remote
control.
This symbol identifies the product as a protection class II appliance. Devices with
this protection class have reinforced or double insulation.
This symbol indicates that you should read the operating instructions.
Appliances with this symbol may only be operated indoors (dry environment).
Never stick needles into the heating pad.
The heating pad must never be used folded or piled up.
The heating pad is not suitable for small children (0 - 3 years).

The heating pad may be washed at a maximum of 30 °C on the delicates cycle.

5. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Important instructions for safe operation.
Keep for future use.
•Children younger than 3 years must not use this appliance as they are incapable of responding
to overheating.
•The appliance must not be used by young children over the age of three unless a parent or
guardian have preset the appliance or the controls for safe operation have been fully explained
to them
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are
supervised or received instructions on using the appliance safely and understand the hazards
involved.
•Children must not playwith the appliance.
•Cleaning and user maintenancemust not becarried out bychildren without supervision,unless
they are older than 8 years and supervised.
•Children younger than 8 years must bekept away from the appliance and the powercord.
•The appliance has a hot surface. Persons who are insensitive to heat and cannot react to
overheating must not use the appliance. Young children are more sensitive to heat. Certain
diseases, such as diabetes, may be associated with temperature sensitivity disorders. Disabled
or infirm people may not be able to notice if they become too hot.
•If the connecting cord of the remote control of this appliance is damaged, the remote control
with its connecting cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service or a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
•Use only the remote control supplied.
•This appliance is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote
control system.
•This appliance is not intended for use in hospitals.
•Thisappliance must notbeused whenwet.
•Check the appliance frequentlyto see if it shows anysigns of wear or damage. If there are such
signs, or if the appliance has been used improperly or if the appliance does not work, it must be
checked by a specialist workshop before using it again. In this case, contact the customer

service address indicated on the warranty card.
•When theappliance is not in use,itis to be storedas follows:
-Allow the heating pad cool down completely or dry beforefolding it.
-Store theheating pad in a dry place.
-Protect theheating pad from heat sources, e.g. direct sunlight or a heater.
-Do not place heavy objects on the heating pad. The heating wires in the heating pad could
be damaged.
•Refer to the chapteron cleaning (see "Cleaning" on page 18).
DANGER for children
•Packaging material isnot a child's toy. Children must not play with the plastic bags. There is a danger
of suffocation.
•Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
DANGER for and by pets and farm animals
•Electrical appliances can be dangerous for pets and farm animals. Animals can also cause damage to
the appliance.Therefore, always keep animalsaway from electrical appliances.
DANGER of electric shock due to moisture
•The remote control, the mainsplug and the cablesmust not be immersed in wateror other liquids.
•Protect the remote control from moisture, drops and splashes of water. For example, do not place
vases filled with liquids or similar on or near the appliance.
•If liquid gets into the appliance,disconnect the mains plug immediately. Have theappliance checked
beforeusingit again.
•Do not operate theappliance with wet hands.
DANGER from electric shock
•The appliance is not designed for outdoor use.
•Do not plug the mains plug into an earthed socket until the plug of the remote control and the
socket of the heating pad are connected.
•Only plug the mains plug into a properly installed, easily accessible earthed socket whose voltage
corresponds to the specification on the type plate. The grounded socket must remain easily
accessible even after connection.
•Make sure that the powercable cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot spots.
•When usingthe appliance,make sure that the power cord is not pinched or crushed.
•If an extension cable is used, it must comply with the applicable safety regulations.
•The appliance is not completely disconnected from the mains even after it has been switched off.To
do this,pull outthe mainsplug.
•To pull the mains plug out of the socket, always pull on the plug, never on the connecting cable.
•Unplug themainsplug from the socket, ...

... before you disconnect the remote control plug and the heating pad socket,

•Do not use the appliance if there is visible damage to the appliance or the power cord.
•To avoid hazards, do not make any modifications to the appliance.
•Repairs must only be carried out by authorised specialistworkshops. Appliancesthat have not
been professionally repaired pose adanger to the user.
DANGER! Note:
•The heating pad should notbe used on open or fresh wounds, inflamed skin or other skin damage,
nor on unexplained pain, muscleswelling or after severe muscle injuries.
•Discontinueheat application if increased pain or swelling occurs.
•If youare unsure whether and for howlong you shoulduse theheating pad, please ask your
doctor.
•Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning and storing it.
WARNING Risk of material damage
•Only use original accessories! If non-originalaccessories(e.g. remote control) areused,there is an
increased riskof accidents.
•Protect theappliance fromheat, e.g. from direct sunlight, and sharp objects.
•Do not squeezeorbend theheatingpad.
•Do not store heavy objects on the heating pad. The heating wires in the heating pad could be
damaged.
•Observe themaintenance symbols listed on thetype plate of the heatingpad.
6. POWER SUPPLY
DANGER from electrical shock!
⚫Only connect the mains plug of the remote control to a properly installed, easily
accessible and grounded socket whose voltage corresponds to the specification
on the rating plate. The socket must remain easily accessible even after
connection.
⚫Unplug the mains plug from the socket after each use.
⚫The appliance is designed for AC 220-240 V ~, 50 Hz.
7. OPERATION
DANGER of injuries through overheating!
The appliance becomes warm when the heating function is activated. The appliance
must not be used with the heating function activated if a person cannot properly sense heat.
Young children are more sensitive to heat. Certain diseases, such as diabetes, may be
associated with temperature sensitivity disorders. Disabled or infirm people may not be able

to notice when they are getting too warm.
7.1 Connecting the appliance
1. If necessary, insert the plug of the remote control into
the socket of the heating pad until it audibly clicks into place.
2. Fasten the collar of the heating pad with the press studs.
3. Fasten the heating pad at the desired height using the elastic, adjustable waist belt.
4. Connect the appliance to a grounded socket. The Display briefly shows an 8and the
control LED lights up. The 8goes out and the control LED continues to show red.
7.2 Heating mode
1. Press the On/Off button , to switch on the appliance. After switching on for the first time,
or after a mains disconnection, the appliance starts with heating level 4. After switching on
without disconnecting from the mains, the previously set heating level is used.

... + on the heating level button (upper edge of the button) to increase the heating
level or
... - on the heating level button lower edge of the button) to decrease the heating level.

You can change the heating levels during use.
NOTE: When using the heating pad for a longer period of time, limiting heat up to a
maximum level of 4 is recommended.
3. Press the On/Off button , to switch off the appliance. The display goes out and only the
control LED continues to show red.

7.3 Setting the timer
1. Press the On/Off button , to switch the appliance on.
2. Select the desired heating level.
3. Press ...
... + on the Timer button (upper edge of the button) to increase the duration
of use or
... - on the Timer button (lower edge of the button) to decrease the duration of
use.

After setting the timer, the digit corresponding to the application time flashes several
times. Then the selected heating level is displayed again.
NOTES:
•You can change the timer during use.
•Changing the timer resets it.
8. CLEANING
DANGER from electric shock!
•Disconnect the mains plug from the socket before cleaning.
•Do not immerse the remote control, the mains plug or the cables in water
or other liquids.
WARNING!
•The heating pad must not be ...
... washed hotter than 30 °C,
... dry-cleaned,
... ironed or
... wrung out to dry.
•Let the heating pad cool down before cleaning.
1. Pull the mains plug out from the power socket.
2. Press the release buttons on the side of the plug and pull the plug of the remote control
out of the socket of the heating pad.

3. If necessary, wipe the remote control with a slightly damp cloth.
4. In the case of minor soiling, remove the stains with a slightly damp cloth. For heavier
soiling, wash the heating pad at 30 °C on the delicate cycle. Refer to the maintenance
symbols on the type plate of the heating pad.
5. After washing, allow the heating pad to air dry.
WARNING!
•The heating pad must not be...
... wrung out to dry or
... hung up with clothes pegs or similar fastening material.
6. Allow the heating pad (incl. socket) to dry completely before using it again.
9. STORAGE
•Allow the heating pad to cool or dry completely before folding it.
•Store the heating pad in a dry place.
•Protect the heating pad from heat sources, e.g. direct sunlight or a heater.
•Do not place heavy objects on the heating pad. The heating wires in the heating pad
could be damaged.
10. DISPOSAL
At the end of its service life, the appliance must be disposed of in an orderly manner
in accordance with the Waste Disposal Directive 2012/19/EU. Plastics and electronic
parts must be recycled.
Please check with your local waste disposal centre.
Packaging
If possible, keep the packaging until the warranty period has expired. After
that, please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
11. TROUBLESHOOTING
If your appliance is causing problems, please go through this check list first. It
may only be a minor problem that you can fix yourself.
DANGER! Under no circumstances you should attempt to repair the appliance
yourself. If you cannot rectify the fault, please contact our Service Centre.
