Please note that if this installation is the first to be used with aused turntable the RCA (phono output plugs) may be corroded or loose. Please clean and repair
prior to usage with ascouring pad or similar ensuring agood connection.
Aearth cable is provided, connect the turntable ground wire to the pre amplifier earth post, the power amplifier and to the mains socket ground pin with
athree pin plug to the earth pin. Wrap the mains socket earth cable around the power supply cable to the LINT one ensuring good connections.
This prevents aground loop mains noise.

The%LINTone RIAA%stereo%pre%amplifier%is%designed%for%MM%(Moving%magnet)%HOMC%cartridges%(High%output%moving%coil)%fitted%to%most%economical%turntables.%The%internal
circuitry%is%designed%to%a%1980s%design%as%when%vinyl%records%were%at%the%peak.%Hence%the%design%reproduces%quality%sound.%The unit%is%designed%to%RIAA%equalisation.
Connect%the%phono%input%and%output%cables%to%the%rear%as%designated.%Connect%output%to%a%amplifier%aux%or%line%in%socket.%Connect%wall%power%supply%to%the%mains.%

Ground%Loop%and%wiring%practice
In%an%electrical%system,%a%ground=loop or%earth=loop occurs%when%two%points%of%a%circuit%both%intended%to%be%at%ground%reference%potential%have%a%potential%between%them.
This%can%be%caused,%for%example,%in%a%signal%circuit%referenced%to%ground,%if%enough%current%is%flowing%in%the%ground%to%cause%two points%to%be%at%different%potentials.
Ground%loops%are%a%major%cause%of%noise%and%hum%in%audio%systems.%Wiring%practices%that%protect%against%ground%loops%include%ensuring%that%all%vulnerable%signal%circuits
are%referenced%to%one%point%as%ground.%Use%the%LINTone pre%amplifier%ground%as%a%central%point%connecting%to%all%devices%including%the%mains%earth%point%via%a%three%pin%wall%
plug%using%the%earth%pin.%Ensure%the%earth%cable%from%the%wall%plug%is%wrapped%around%the%wall%power%supply%feed%cable%to%the%LINTone.

The%LINTone RIAA%stereo%pre%amplifier%is%supplied%with%a%AC%wall%power%supply,%this%provides%a%excellent%power%source.%Lint%audio%have%designed%the%unit%to%be%as
noise%free%as%possible.%In%the%event%the%user%wants%to%eliminate%earth%loop%and%mains%noise%ingress.%Depending%on%the%installation%and%equipment%used%this%may%be%
evident.%In%this%event%it%is%advisable%to%supply%the%LINTone with%a%battery%power%supply.%(The%Lint%Prelude%is%battery%powered).%
The%ideal%power%supply%is%2%x%9%Vdc PP3%batteries%connected%in%series,%connected%to%a%DC%power%plug.%Do%not%exceed%24%Volts%DC.%The%positive%is%to%the%centre.
A%LINTone has%a%low%power%draw%of%50%milliamps%which%will%allow%a%long%run%time.

The%LINTone is%designed%to%stack%on%a%Lint%SOLO
headphone%amplifier,%this%is%used%in%many%vinyl%
stores%to%illustrate%the%true%analogue%sounds%of%vinyl.
The%Lint%SOLO%and%Lint%Stereo%5%are%supplied%with
two%dome%screws%in%the%front.%This%allows%the%LINTone
feet%to%seat%on%the%top%and%prevent%movement%when
in%service.
A%convenient%short%earth%cable%is%provided%to%allow%ease%of
connection.
Lint%Audio%also%manufacture%a%simple%headphone%stand.
After%extensive%tests%a%%economical%solution%to%use%the%JTS%565
series%of%headphones.%These%are%studio%quality.

1. Should%warranty%service%be%required,%this%warranty%card%must%be%presented%WITH%
PROOF%OF%PURCHASE%to%the%store%where%the%unit%was%purchased.%The%serial%number%
on%the%product%must%be%clearly%visible%and%not%have%been%tampered%with%in%any%way.
2. LINTaudio obligations%are%limited%to%correcting%original%manufacturing%defects%as%
per%specifications,%and%may%include%the%use%of%refurbished%parts/components.
3. Authorised repair%centres must%only%carry%out%warranty%repairs.
4. Warranty%repairs%must%be%carried%out%by%authorised service%representatives%of%
LINTaudio.%No%reimbursement%will%be%made%by%non-authorised persons.%Any%such%
repair%work,%including%damage%caused%by%such%“repair”work%will%not%be%covered%by%
this%warranty,%and%warranty%will%be%deemed%as%null%and%void.
5. This%warranty%covers LINTaudio products%made%to%African%specifications%only.%
Should%a%product%be%modified%in%any%way,%this%warranty%will%become%null%and%void.
6. This%warranty%ceases%if%the%LINTaudio product%is%damaged%by%lightning,%flooding,%
water%ingress,%fire,%Acts%of%God,%public%disturbances,%incorrect%voltage,%normal%wear%
and%tear,%accident,%misuse%or%abuse,%improper%cleaning%methods,%infestation%by%
insects%or%vermin,%incorrect%operation,%use%for%which%it%is%not%intended.%Use%of%faulty%
or%leaking%batteries.
7. The%warranty%does%NOT%cover%batteries.%Batteries%supplied%with%the%device%are%
covered%under%the%manufacturers%separate%warranty.
8. The%warranty%does%not%apply%to%any%accessory%included%“In%the%box”with%original%
product%purchase.%For%a%list%of%accessories%provided%with%each%device%contact%
rabbit1@telkomsa.net The%list%of%accessories%shall%not%be%regarded%as%an%exhaustive%
list%and%LINTaudio has%the%right%in%its%sole%discretion%to%amend%the%list%and%to%
determine%which%accessories%will%carry%the%3%month%warranty.
9. The%year%warranty%is%NOT%TRANSFERRABLE%and%is%only%applicable%to%the%first%
purchaser%who%legally%acquired%the%product.%This%is%subject%to%various%African%
countries%laws.
10. Warranty%is%only%valid%if%the%product%is%used%in%accordance%with%the%operating%
guidelines%as%specified%in%the%operator%user%manual.
11. LINTaudio has%a%one%year%warranty.
12. LINTaudio are%not%responsible%for%damage,%injury%or%malfunction%to%any%%equipment%
howsoever%caused.%
