PREAMBULE
Super 73 electric bikes purchased in Europe and sold for use in Europe (models Super 73 SG and SG1) have
been tested, certified and are conform to security requirements of EPAC (Electric Power Assisted Cycle)
according to EN 15194, have a maximum speed of 25 km/h and a 250 Watt motor power output.
Principles of operation of a pedelec:
Your power assisted bike is “assisted”. This means that, according to the legislation, you have to pedal
continuously for assistance. The assist is active only during the pedaling movement. The assistance of your bike
is cut beyond 25km/h as required by French and European regulations.
For models sold and purchased in the USA, please refer to our website for model types, speeds and power
output.

In this manual, the minimal torques of tightening are indicated in Nm. Do not trust your feeling: even if
it looks well fixed, it may not be the case. Only a torque wrench guarantees the exact tightening of the
screws. To do this, always use this type of key and respect the torques indicated in this manual. Too little
or too tight screws can cause fractures. They can cause falls and serious injuries.

CHARGE THE BATTERY
Remove the battery from the main frame. Two keys are supplied to unlock and lock the battery.
1. Plug in the charger into a regular wall outlet.
2. Connect the charging cable to the battery.
3. Turn on the battery safety switch. The switch should be on the “I” side. The battery will not charge
unless it is switched on.
We recommend charging the battery for 8-12 hours on the first charge. This will help condition the
lithium-ion cells for optimal performance.
When the charging process starts, the charger LEDs turns red. Once the battery is charged, the LED
turns green. Remove the charger cable from the battery and then unplug it from the socket. Remember
to put the protective cap back onto the battery charging socket after charging to protect it from dirt and
moisture.
Always make sure there is plenty of ventilation and a dry, fireproof environment for the charger and follow
these operating instructions:
• Do not leave the battery connected to the active charger for more than 48 hours.
• Do not leave the charger connected to a socket for more than 48 hours.
• Charge the battery and use the bike at least once every 90 days
• Do not store the bike for more than 24 hours with an empty battery. This prevents a deep discharge
with irreparable consequences from occurring.
• Do not use the charger if the charger, main cable or connector cable have any visible signs of damage.
• After being charged, if the battery remains connected to the charger, it will turn on and off again in
short spurts of green light. This is not a defect. It simply indicates that individual battery cells are
being slowly charged. Nevertheless, make sure that the battery is not connected to the charger for
more than 48 hours.
More information on battery care and range in the Maintenance and Components section.
2ACTION: Remove the frame from its packaging. Stabilize the bike upright on the kickstand. Then,
remove the battery off of the controller by sliding it horizontally towards the seat.
!

13
4
3ACTION: Set aside the top half of the fork and the front wheel, remove both from their packaging.
ACTION: Inflate both the front and rear tires.
Use this diagram as a guide to help you seat the bead of the tire properly onto the lip of the rim.

14
5ACTION: Install the front brake rotor on the front wheel. Tighten the front rotor Torx screws in a star
shaped pattern. This helps seat the rotor properly. Ensure that the text on the rotor faces outwards
and not towards the wheel. Assembly Tip: Hand tighten the torx screws before using the wrench.
HARDWARE: #5 (4mm Torx wrench), H (Front rotor Torx screws) and G (Front brake rotor)
ACTION: Inflate the tires
Tires must be inflated with a pump with a Schrader valve tip with a recommended pressure of between
20 and 30 psi (1.37 and 2 bars). The maximum pressure is 35 psi / 2.41 bar. Check the condition of the
tires and rims for damage, cracks or deformation.

15
Be sure to take attention to the directional arrow on the rotor. This arrow should be pointed in the
same direction as the wheel spins during operation.
!
6ACTION: Loosen the front wheel axle nuts in preparation for installation.

16
7
ACTION: Make sure the axle is inserted and seated properly. Tighten the front axle nuts.
The minimal tightening torque of the wheels is 33.89 (Nm) or 25lb/ft.
HARDWARE: #1 (15 mm pedal wrench) & F (Front axle nuts).
ACTION: If your bike has hydraulic brakes, remove the brake pad spacer before attaching the front
wheel. Insert the front axle into the front dropouts.
Make notice of the front rotor, as it has to seat properly into the front brake caliper. The washer should
be on the inside of the frame, between the inner hex nut and the frame.
TIP: Turn the bike upside down and have it rest on the seat. Or, have a second person lift the rear end
of the bike to make it easier to assemble.

17
Your bike should look like this.
!
8ACTION: Remove the middle triple tree bolt and set aside with the others.
HARDWARE: #2 (8” Adjustable crescent wrench) & #3 (8mm Hex wrench)

18
10
9ACTION: Remove (A) Head tube shipping plug and discard it. This is only necessary when the top half
of the fork is removed. It helps stabilize the fork assembly.
ACTION: Lift the rear end of the bike, pivoting it on the kickstand. This will help prevent
separation of the headset components during the next step.
TIP: Have a friend help you out for this step to hold the frame.

19
11 ACTION: Remove (B) steer tube bolt and (L) steer tube spacers. Hold the bottom of the tube to
keep the parts from separating. Have a second person help to lift the rear end of the frame to
keep the headset pieces in place. Keep a hand under the steering tube so that the assembly
stays in place.
HARDWARE: #3 (8mm Hex wrench)
EXPLODED VIEW ------->
This is what the headset components look like.
Make sure they are kept in this order.
Keep one hand underneath to keep
components in place.
ACTION: Set parts aside and remember their
order. You will install these back in the same
exact order. Your bike may come with three (3)
cylindrical spacers, however you only need two
(2). Only keep the thick spacer and one of the
thin spacers. You can discard the second thin
spacer.

20
12 ACTION: Insert the handle bars/upper fork half into the lower fork half. A little wiggling of the fork
is necessary as this is a precise and tight fit. This is the part of the assembly that can be fairly diffi-
cult and a little force is required.
13 ACTION: With the rear end up, lightly tighten the steer tube bolt, with the spacers set aside in step
11. Place the (1) thin spacer and the (1) thicker spacer in the same order (thin spacer below).
HARDWARE: #3 (8mm Hex wrench)
