NOTE: Make sure to read and thoroughly understand the entire contents of the
bili-hut™ Home Use Guide before operating the bili-hut™.
c. Place the nest mattress in the nest so that the dark
section is facing up.
g. Fill out the bili-hut™ Home Record Sheet.
f. Connect the bili-hut™ power cord to the assembled
power supply. Plug the assembled power supply into a
safe and active electrical outlet. Press the power switch
on the power cord to turn on the bili-hut™ and begin
treating your baby.
Part 1: Assembly and Operation
b. Place the bili-hut™ on a smooth, sturdy, even surface
such as a table 2 x 4 feet (0.6 m x 1.2 m) or larger.
h. Complete prescribed phototherapy treatment.
NOTE: Refer to Part 2 of this card for any treatment
interruptions.
a. With the base mattress attached to the base
(straps of the base mattress snapped closed), attach
the four (4) magnetic clasps on the shell to the clasps
on the base to form the assembled hut. The clasps
should audibly “click” when in place. Gently tug upward
on the shell to check for secure clasp attachment.

NOTE - Recommended room temperature: select a location
for treatment where the room temperature can be maintained
between 70°F and 76°F (21.1°C and 24.4°C) for your baby's
comfort and safety during treatment.
d. Slide the nest partially into the assembled hut. After
undressing your baby except for the diaper, place eye
protection over your baby's eyes. Place your baby in the
nest so your baby’s head and neck lie entirely within the
dark section of the nest mattress.

for assistance with disposable nest packages.
e. Gently slide the nest further into the assembled hut
until it touches the bumper on the base mattress.

Clean the reusable components of the bili-hut™
when soiled.
a. Before cleaning, turn o󰀨 the bili-hut™, remove
your baby, and disassemble the bili-hut™ according
to Parts 2 and 4 of this card.
a. Press the power switch on the power cord to turn
o󰀨 the blue treatment lights before removing your baby
from the bili-hut™.
Part 2: Removing Your Baby
from the bili-hut™
b. Gently slide the nest out of the assembled hut.
Carefully lift your baby out of the nest and place
your baby in a safe location.
e. To resume treatment, follow the instructions
starting at Step d of Part 1 on the reverse side of
this card.
d. Record any treatment interruptions using the
bili-hut™ Home Record Sheet.
a. The Environment High Temperature Warning
automatically turns on when the environmental
temperature surrounding the bili-hut™ is too high.
b. In this state, the blue treatment lights turn o󰀨
and a yellow indicator light turns on. Reference
Section 3.4 of the bili-hut™ Home Use Guide for
actions to take if this warning occurs.
Part 5: Cleaning
b. Use a disinfectant wipe or cloth dampened
with disinfectant solution to clean the bili-hut™
according to the instructions in Section 4.1 of the
bili-hut™ Home Use Guide.

bili-hut™ or health problems with your baby.

NOTE: See the bili-hut™ Home Use Guide for
complete safety information.
WARNING: NEVER carry your baby inside the
assembled hut and/or inside the nest.
WARNING: Use eye protection to prevent
damage to your baby’s vision.
WARNING: Check your baby and the
bili-hut™ regularly (every 2 to 4 hours).
WARNING: DO NOT place the bili-hut™ near
anything that heats the bili-hut™ (like a space
heater). Doing so could cause the Environment
High Temperature Warning to turn on.
WARNING: DO NOT place the bili-hut™ near
anything that cools the bili-hut™ (like an air
conditioner or fan).
WARNING: DO NOT place items on or in the
bili-hut™. DO NOT spill liquids on the bili-hut™.
WARNING: DO NOT move the bili-hut™ by
pulling on the power cord.
WARNING: DO NOT put any creams or lotions
on your baby’s skin before or during treatment.
WARNING: Avoid interrupting treatment
unless necessary.
NOTE: The timer only keeps track of the total
lifetime use of the blue treatment lights, not
your baby's treatment time.
