In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding the handling
of the appliance. This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations.
Incorrect usage can lead to personal injury and property damage.
Risks from electrical current

Risk of potentially fatal electrical current!
Contact with wires or components that are under voltage could
be potentially fatal!
Pay heed to the following safety instructions to avoid risks from electrical current:
► The electrical installation may only be carried out by an accredited electrician.
► The appropriate standards are to be applied during assembly.
► Switch the electrical circuit off prior to assembly / installation.
Basic Safety Instructions
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety information:
■ Before use check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not put into
operation an appliance that is damaged. There will be the risk of a fatal
electrical shock.
■ A broken protective screen must be replaced before
further use. There is a risk of personal injury.
■ Repairs should only be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by
the Customer Service Department. Incompetent repairs can result in significant
risks for the user. In addition, warranty claims become void.
■ To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged cables or connectors to be
exchanged by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service Department.
■ Maintain a sufficient distance from the illuminated area (at least
1 m), otherwise there is a risk of fire from the generated heat.
■ This appliance is suitable for mounting on ordinary flammable
surfaces.

■ Defective components may only be replaced with original replacement parts.
Only by using original replacement parts can it be guaranteed that the
safety requirements are being complied with.
■ The electrical circuit must be switched off before the replacement of a bulb
and before cleaning it. Otherwise, there will be the risk of a fatal electrical
shock.
■ Only bulbs complying with the technical specifications may be used. Unsuit-
able bulbs may cause a short circuit and thereby damage the appliance
permanently.
■ Replace defective bulbs immediately. Defective bulbs may cause a short
circuit and thereby damage the appliance permanently.
■ NEVER use the light with a damaged cable. There will be the risk of a fatal
electrical shock.
■ This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children)
with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences
in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the
appliance is to be used.
■ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

NOTICE
► Check the contents to ensure everything is available and for signs of visible
damage.
► If the delivery is not complete or is damaged due to defective packaging or
through transportation contact the Service Hotline (see chapter Service).
► The bulb is enclosed with the halogen floodlight in the as-delivered condi-
tion (separately packaged). For correct use of the bulb, please refer to the
chapter entitled Changing the bulb.

Selecting the installation location
The appliance can be mounted indoors or in a covered outdoor area.
DANGER
► Maintain a sufficient distance from the illuminated area (at least 1 m),
otherwise there is a risk of fire from the generated heat.
The motion detector 4may be oriented at about 170° horizontally and about
180° vertically and has a detection range of max. 120°.
The range is adjustable from about 5 - 12 m.
When selecting the installation location ensure there will be no adverse incidents
registered in the coverage range, such as from roads or lights.

Risk of electrocution from electrical current!
► The electrical installation may only be carried out by an accredited electrician.
► The appropriate standards must be applied during fitting.
► Switch the electrical circuit off prior to assembly / installation.
WARNING
► When drilling, take care not to damage any pipes/cables in the wall or
ceiling.
► The supplied plugs are only suitable for a mounting on concrete or stone.
Before starting the installation, please check your installation location care-
fully for its suitability for the plugs. If in doubt, call a professional.
NOTICE
► For easier installation the bracket 5can be unscrewed from the appliance.
♦ Drill two holes with a diameter of 6 mm and a depth of 30 mm at a spacing
of 52 mm.
♦ Insert a plug into each of the holes and screw the appliance with the
bracket 5to the ceiling or wall (see Fig Ceiling mounting/Wall mounting).

Electrical connection
WARNING
This appliance falls under Protection Class I.
► The earth wire (green/yellow wire) must be connected to the point
marked .
♦ Switch the electrical circuit off and secure it against unintentional reactivation.
♦ Unscrew the four screws at the rear of the connection box and remove the
cover.
♦ First, pull a cable through the cable entry 9into the connection box and
secure it to the available cable strain relief.
♦ Connect the cable to the terminals, as shown in the connection diagram.
♦ Replace the cover of the connection box and screw it down firmly.
♦ Now switch the power supply back on.

Adjustment of the motion detector
The adjustment of the range, the twilight level, and the illumination time is made
with the rotary switches on the motion detector 4.
Twilight level (LUX )
Adjustment of the brightness level below which the motion detector 4will activate.
The brightness sensor is adjustable from 5 Lux to 2000 Lux .
Illumination time (TIME 2)
Adjustment of the illumination time from 7 seconds to 12 minutes. If the appliance
is switched on and it registers a new movement, the illumination time is extended
by the set value.
NOTICE
► We recommend setting the illumination time to the maximum, so as to
achieve the longest service life for the bulb 8.
Range (SENS 3)
Setting the range of motion detector 4to between 5 - 12 m.
♦ Finally, set the motion detector 4according to your requirement.
♦ Fix the position of the motion detector 4with the locking screw 10 .
Changing the bulb
The supplied bulb 8is excluded from the warranty. Please use only bulbs 8
as specified in the Technical Data.
♦ Switch the electrical circuit off and secure it against being inadvertently
switched back on.
♦ Loosen the screw 7on the front panel.
♦ Fold the front panel with the protective screen 6to the front.
♦ Change the bulb 8. Do not touch the bulb with your bare hands, use a
dust-free soft cloth.
♦ Close the front panel, ensuring that the sealing gasket is properly seated
and clean.
♦ Firmly screw the front panel back down.
♦ Switch the electrical circuit back on and check the functioning.

Cleaning
DANGER
Risk of potentially fatal electrical shock!
► Replace the bulb only when the mains voltage is switched off.
TAKE NOTE
Possible damage to the appliance.
► Ensure that moisture cannot permeate into the appliance during cleaning.
► Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can damage
the upper surfaces.
♦ Clean the housing exclusively with a soft damp cloth and a mild dishwashing
liquid.
Disposal
DO NOT dispose of the appliance and/or the bulb in your normal
domestic waste. This product is subject to the European Directive
2002/96/EC (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance and/or the bulb via an approved waste disposal com-
pany or your communal waste disposal centre. Observe the currently applicable
regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

You receive a 3-year warranty for this appliance as of the purchase date. This
appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before
delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim,
please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way
can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
NOTICE
► The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects,
but not for transport damages, wearing parts or for damage to fragile
components, e.g. bulbs or switches.
This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
In the event of misuse and improper handling, use of force and interference not
carried out by our authorized service branch, the warranty will become void.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.
The warranty period is not extended by repairs effected under warranty. This
applies also to replaced and repaired parts.
Damages or defects discovered after purchase are to be reported directly after
unpacking, at the latest two days after the purchase date.

Siguranţa
În acest capitol sunt oferite indicaţii importante de siguranţă în vederea manipu-
lării aparatului. Acest aparat corespunde dispoziţiilor de siguranţă prescrise.
Utilizarea necorespunzătoare a aparatului poate provoca fatalităţi umane şi
pagube materiale.
Pericol de electrocutare

Pericol de moarte la atingerea conductorilor electrici sau a
componentelor sub tensiune!
Respectaţi următoarele indicaţii de siguranţă, pentru a evita periclitările prin
electrocutare:
► instalarea electrică trebuie realizată exclusiv de către un electrician autorizat;
► la montaj, trebuie aplicate normele corespunzătoare;
► Înaintea montării / instalării decuplaţi circuitul de curent.
Indicaţii fundamentale de siguranţă
Pentru utilizarea în siguranţă a aparatului, respectaţi următoarele indicaţii de
siguranţă:
■ Înainte de utilizare, verificaţi aparatul în privinţa deteriorărilor exterioare vizibile.
Nu puneţi niciodată aparatul în funcţiune, dacă este deteriorat. Pericol de
electrocutare;
■ Dacă sticla de protecţie este spartă, aceasta trebuie
înlocuită înainte de a utiliza aparatul în continuare.
Pericol de rănire.
■ Reparaţia aparatului este permisă numai firmelor autorizate sau serviciului
pentru clienţi. În cazul reparaţiilor necorespunzătoare pot apărea pericole
considerabile pentru utilizator. În plus, se pierde dreptul la garanţie.
■ Dacă este deteriorat cablul sau conexiunile, acestea trebuie înlocuite de
către electricieni autorizaţi sau de către serviciul clienţi, pentru a evita
periclitările.
■ Menţineţi o distanţă suficient de mare faţă de suprafaţa iluminată
(min. 1 m), deoarece, din cauza formării de căldură există
pericol de incendiu.
■ În vederea montării, aparatul trebuie aşezat pe suprafeţe cu risc
normal de inflamare.

■ Componentele defecte ale aparatului pot fi înlocuite numai cu piese de schimb
originale. Numai prin utilizarea acestor piese este garantată îndeplinirea
cerinţelor de siguranţă.
■ Înainte de înlocuirea unui corp de iluminat şi înainte de curăţare, circuitul de
curent trebuie decuplat. Pericol de electrocutare.
■ Trebuie să se utilizeze numai corpuri de iluminat corespunzătoare cu datele
tehnice. Corpurile de iluminat necorespunzătoare pot provoca scurtcircuite
şi astfel pot deteriora permanent aparatul.
■ Înlocuiţi imediat corpurile de iluminat defecte. Corpurile de iluminat defecte
pot provoca scurtcircuite şi astfel pot deteriora permanent aparatul.
■ Nu utilizaţi niciodată aparatul în cazul în care cablul de alimentare este
defect. Pericol de electrocutare.
■ Acest aparat nu este destinat utilizării de către persoane (inclusiv copii) cu
capacităţi fizice, senzoriale sau mentale limitate sau cu o experienţă şi/sau
cunoştinţe limitate, cu excepţia cazului în care sunt supravegheate de către
o persoană responsabilă cu siguranţa lor sau au primit instrucţiuni de la
aceasta privind modul de utilizare a aparatului.
■ Copiii trebuie supravegheaţi, pentru a împiedica utilizarea aparatului ca jucărie.
Furnitura
Standard, aparatul este livrat împreună cu următoarele componente:
▯ Reflector cu halogen
▯ Corp de iluminat R7s/J78/120 W
▯ Material de montaj
▯ Instrucţiuni de utilizare
INDICAŢIE
► Verificaţi dacă furnitura este completă şi dacă prezintă deteriorări vizibile.
► Dacă furnitura nu este completă sau dacă există defecte rezultate în urma
transportului sau a ambalajului precar, luaţi legătura telefonică cu linia
directă de service (a se vedea capitolul Service-ul).
► Corpul de iluminat este livrat într-un ambalaj separat în cadrul reflectorului
cu halogen. Pentru montarea corectă a corpului de iluminat se va consulta
capitolul Înlocuirea corpurilor de iluminat.
